I tried Pho Dimond for the first time recently. What took me so long?! I ordered delivery, so I can't speak to the ambiance or service, but the food was great. The pad Thai was tangy and delicious. The steak pho was soooo good. I loved the broth and the steak was perfect (not fatty, not tough). My husband's favorite is the chicken fried rice. This is my favorite restaurant in anchorage. I travel for work and the first time I found this place 2 years ago it was so good that I went twice in one day. This time I had to stop by again while I'm here for work. They have a very extensive menu. I've ordered different things every time and the food is truly 10/10. Service is always friendly. Anchorage does Pho well! In fact, it's one of those list of foods that I NEVER eat when I'm visiting a large metro in the lower 48. Pho Dimond is great Pho, but doesn't really shake up the local Pho scene in the way a place like Phonatik does. They've got all the classic beef (and non-beef) noodle soup variations, they've got the classic Pho accoutrements, and the clean-but-sparse interior. I found the portion of ingredients in the actual soup to be a little small though. I could've used a little more noodle and a little more meat. I wish I would've gotten an appetizer to go with my soup. Service was fast and friendly. read more

This place is really REALLY good. I had a huge craving for noodle soup and this place hit the spot. There were a lot of glowing reviews of their pho but the bun rieu has always been my go to dish. I am from the Bay Area and I'm so surprised to find such authentic Vietnamese food in Alaska. I highly recommend this place and will definitely come back to Anchorage. To be fair, I do agree with the other reviewers that the food took a long time to come out. I waited for about 20 mins but maybe this dish is not something that people order often and they made the meatball from scratch. I didn't think that the service was bad, but it's standard for Asian restaurant. They get you water and bring you the order and the rest you pretty much have to help yourself and pay at the counter when you finish. I am pretty used to this. I cook Vietnamese food almost every day and my family used to own a restaurant so I really know my Vietnamese food. Their beef pho is excellent! The food was great but the service was terrible. We were some of the old ones in the restaurant on a weekday. It took a long time for our food to arrive. We were missing several items and had to ask for them. We were not given chopsticks, forks, spoons, or napkins and had to ask after our food was served. We stayed for about 1.5hrs and was we were leaving our party was asked if we wanted more water for the first time. My friends brought me here and this has been my favorite pho spot ever since! I never thought that I would have good Pho in Alaska in all places. I'm usually pretty picky about my Pho since I'm from the Bay Area and have been spoiled by all the yummy restaurants right outside my doorstep. Service: The service here is standard. The outside was cooked to perfection, but the inside maaaay have been dogshit, not sure. And the "salad" consisted of a handful of lettuce leaves and virtually nothing else. DO NOT SLEEP ON THESE GUYS... this place has some of the best pho around and we've been around (pho hoes?)! This is their combo pho soup with oxtail, hold the tripe. We order them in Large and they do not skimp. Nicest oxtail portion in town. The plate closest is the garnish for the Vietnamese crepe, not pictured, but also bomb. The portions for take out are HUGE! I had some Uber eats rewards credits to use up and wasn't feeling amazing so I did a delivery order. I got the oxtail pho and green curry tofu (asked for spicy for the curry). The oxtail came in a broth about a quart size (?) And had green onions and white onions in it but they also gave about a cup and a half of extra beef broth on the side that didn't have anything in it. The toppings and noodles were given in a separate container- rice noodles, cilantro, bean sprouts, jalapenos.. no Thai basil though which I was a little disappointed about. For the curry, it was a looser curry, more soup consistency but packed full of veg. The tofu was fried, I kind of wish I had asked for it to be steamed but good either way. They did seem to add some extra spice which I definitely appreciated! It came with a large portion of rice on the side which wasn't included in the description (to my knowledge) but also appreciated.
