If I'm being completely honest, I've been to better pho places in Anchorage. The food is mid at best. My husband & I ordered a variety of food because this place had super high ratings boasting about how yummy the food was & we left severely disappointed. The vibes of the whole place is meh. This place is terrible! I do not recommend this place at all. I ordered 2 durian smoothies, but what I received was no smoothies but pure liquid flavored milk. The drink was very bland, foamy, and melted. All I could was just milk. I asked the employee there for a remake, and she refused my request. She talked about how it'll just be the same. I'm telling you I've been here multiple times and it's never tasted like this. And the fact that she is in services but doesn't put customers first is diabolical. After all this, I was eating my food. And she continues to glare at my way. Which not only made my stay uncomfortable but unwelcoming. In my video I upload to show, my drink has sat there until I was leaving and paid. It still is foaming and the bubbles are still popping as I posted. This place hit the spot for Sunday lunch cravings. We stopped in after running errands and we are glad we did. My kiddos wanted noodles so I ordered them the pad see ew. Nothing ew about it...I ended up having a lot of it just because I could stop. Thick rice noodles with a delicious sauce. My kids were happy and full. Hubs and I ordered pho which also turned out great, perfect for an incoming cold I have and a cold day. I highly recommend trying this place. The place was quite tough to get to because of all the construction on the highway, and I didn't know any other back roads since I stupidly relied on my Google GPS. So we're here from California and my husband is kinda a pro on pho! This place is friendly and the waitress was sweet , very helpful. My husband got the pho and it had tons of meat. He wished for a bit more noodles but that's about it. He loves the flavors and it didn't lack taste at all. I ordered a viet sandwich and chicken fried rice. I loved my food. Decent food, crappy service. Food brought out, appetizers brought out after main meal. We were given extra bowls for our kiddos without having to ask but after the food was brought out we were ignored. I've had better pho and the fried rice was pretty bland. It's close to the house but I won't be going out of my way to visit this establishment again. Okay we ordered pick up and ate the pho and soup last night and then was planning on having the rest for lunch today... but when my son (who is a little over 2 years old) was eating his pad Thai for lunch today, there was a metal shaving in it somehow! And he got it lodged in his throat and thank god he threw up and it came out with the puke... but very upset and honestly don't understand how that even got in there.. when we called it was very awkward and non apologetic. When you first walk into this place off the back it would feel like your grandmothers kitchen. I don't know about you but that, I like. I could be downtown and I would want to go all the way to Muldoon just to eat at this Pho place - it's by far my favorite place to eat. I usually have their pad Thai , I've had pad Thai at other places but this ones my favorite. They've only disappointed me once and I think it's the day they changed chefs. The shrimp and pork pad Thai is really good. Thought I don't quite understand why the price for the pad Thai changes though we get the same thing all the time. I also love their Thai tea! I always get it when we eat here. Recently I've tried their Vietnamese sandwich and is now my favorite. My beau still gets the pad Thai while I've switched to the sandwich. They work really hard over here especially the server. It can get really busy and she is the only one serving customers and busting tables but still is able to come over to your table when called or just to check if you are done. Ho hum. My husband and I decided we wanted something different. I've heard about the various Pho restaurants around town so we decided to check out this one. I ordered the seafood mi. Nice large bowl full of noodles and 3, yes only 3, shrimp and not that big either. The seafood was NOT over cooked which is a plus. One small scallop, some rubbery calamari and two clam like orange things were also in the soup. The soup itself had very little flavor. It was hot, so that was ok. My husband ordered the red curry bowl with chicken. He liked the favor of the soup, but he said the chicken was boiled and had no flavor and was stringy. We also ordered a side of spring rolls. They were not cold and while fresh, just not crunchy like the freshest ones are. Service was very good and servers were very friendly. If I'm in the area and am hungry I'll pop into Kava's next door. read more

Came in, instantly treated rudely. Ok. Sat down at a dinky booth and the waitress didn't seem to really care about us. So I guess service isn't a thing here. I asked one of the workers for an extra bowl. She said sure, and never came back. Nobody came by to ask us how our food was. Speaking of which, price was standard for a combo pho. Broth was nothing special. I was disappointed with the portions. Not sure if they have different sizes but mine seemed to be on a small-regular size. And the meat portions were abysmal. I got a single depressing piece of tripe and literally half a meatball. Maybe two pieces of tendon and rare steak. Will be headed to Pho Tommy (where the owner is VERY friendly) or Pho Lena next time. read more

Oh my goodness! I had a hankering for pho this afternoon. My friend recommended this place so we met there for lunch. I chose pho with raw beef and meatballs. Our server asked us if we wanted the beef on the side or in the bowl. Nice of him to ask I said to my friend. I prefer my beef as rare as possible so when the pho was served hot from the kitchen, I placed the beef in the hot broth to just barely cook it. Perfection! Served with fresh condiments on the side. I love being able to choose how much to put in my bowl. Service was quick and very professional. The food was great tasting. I definitely recommend this place for pho! read more

Our go to Pho on the east side of anchorage. Very consistent. Always fast. We live about 5 mins away so we can decide on Pho, call it in and be back home eating delicious Pho in 20 mins. Pho is one of the last cheap dinners is Anchorage. Under $25 we can each have a delicious, satisfying, and filling meal. That's rare here anymore unless you like buffets or places like Village Inn which I do not. I've never tried anything but the Pho, what for. I went here for lunch with my fiancé & we got the chicken pad Thai and yellow curry with chicken. I was very pleased with my curry, the pad Thai wasn't anything special, I've had better, but it was still good. Both were good portions, we got a small bowl of rice & ended up having to take some of our food to go. The yellow curry was the best I've ever had, perfect flavor. The potatoes could've been cooked longer so they were softer & it had a little too much onion. Other than that, entirely satisfied. We ordered two dishes from this place: Chicken Fried rice and another chicken dish that came with rice. The chicken fried rice was awful. Who puts green beans and corn in chicken fried rice, what is wrong with you? As for the second dish- it cost $12 and there was literally one TINY scoop of the chicken portion which mast mostly onions instead of chicken. Again- what is wrong with you? We paid too much for that as it is and you're gonna scam us like that? Misers.The food was horrible and so was the value for money- or lack thereof I should say.
