Downtown Anchorage is a small-town-feel city with not the best options for restaurants. Saw this pop up on my Google search. We were a party of two and we ordered Fresh Rolls and couple of Pad Thai. The sauce for the fresh rolls were too sweet without a spice kick to balance, but the rolls were good and once you added a bit of Sriracha to the sauce, it was better. Pad Thai was good and flavorful, although my dish did not have a since piece of any peanut. read more

Nice Thai spot in downtown. Atmosphere is good with a nice interior and large windows. Service was very good with nice servers that were attentive. I didn't tell them I wanted medium spice and got the typical mild dish. Despite the lack of spice the vegetable stir fry was very good. I had a hot tea which was also good. read more

Very nice family and pleasure to dine with them. They had a spice area you could add more hot sauce or other sauces. We went in for a nice casual lunch and there was plenty of space for nine people. read more

Wow!! Great we were craving some good thai after a week of mediocre cruise food, and this restaurant was perfect!! I don't know that we'll ever be in Anchorage again, but if we are, we'd definitely eat here again!! read more

This is a cute little nook near the Hilton hotel in Anchorage, it was inexpensive. Plates under $20 very friendly and fast service, as soon as you open the door they greet you. Ambiance is nice inside and comfortable with art and culture. I would say it could be perfect for a first date, a romantic evening or just a simple quick lunch break. I ordered the ground chicken egg rolls you get four. Unfortunately the sauce was better than the egg rolls. However, I ate all of them so either I was very hungry or they were not that bad. I have had better, if that helps. read more

Overall my $15 lunch special meal was good. It was just the right amount of food for 1 imo. I didn't really like the dipping sauce the fresh roll came with -too cloyingly sweet. I'd get the fried spring roll next time. Peanut salad dressing ok. The Panang curry had a nice flavor. It was all chicken no veggies. I'd like to come back and try some of their noodle dishes. They got me in and out for lunch in about 35 minutes so fast service! read more

We ordered four items via Door Dash: 1. Garlic rice plate with extra beef - meat was tough and sauce was not very garlicky, 2. Tom Khar soup with chicken was excellent. 3. Rangoon was delicious. 4. Chicken curry stir fry was ordered mild but arrived so spicy that neither or us could eat it. Overall, we've had better Thai and probably wouldn't go back or order again. read more

I've been here several times for dine in and takeout and it's always solid. The service is very friendly too. My absolute favorite Pad Thai in Anchorage comes from myThai! It's on the sweeter side with a tiny kick of spice after a few bites. I think it's the perfect meld of flavors when adding the peanuts and lime. Anytime I order Pad Thai somewhere else, I am rating it against myThai's. I've had the pineapple fried rice, fried tofu, crab rangoon, and fried egg rolls and thought it was all really good. Definitely worth a try! read more

Most amazing Thai food including Thai food in Thailand. Each and every item were sumptuous and cooked to perfection. Portions were generous. We had Red Curry Tofu, Fried Rolls (Spring Rolls), Jasmine Tea, Pad Thai, Tom Khar Soup. We were so impressed that we took photos of serving stars and the kitchen staff. Service was top notch. Very courteous, accommodating, prompt and paid full attention to every detail. Ambiance is good as well. We liked the vibe. We felt that this is the best Thai food we have ever had including in Thailand. read more

Great food, highly recommended. The pad Thai is solid, curry is fantastic. Always a must.

Ambience is authentic Thai. Service is absolutely GREAT. Food is just ok. Pad see ew w/ chicken - 3 stars - good flavor, needs more dark soy sauce and oyster sauce, heavy on the sweet sugary flavor Pho beef - 3 stars - Thai style, not Viet style, it was alright, meat was over cooked Pad kra pow - 3 stars - good, flavors were all there, very minimal in that basil which was disappointing Fish cake - 3 stars - good fish cakes, sweet and sour dipping sauce with cucumbers could've been thicker and stronger Fried tofu - 3 stars - good, sweet and sour sauce with peanuts could've been thicker and stronger Chicken salad - 2 stars - peanut sauce is weak with peanuts... strong with sugar... Not good at all Garlic chicken rice - 2.5 stars - plain flavors, soy sauce as a dipping sauce was weak read more

Great food, didn't think I'd find a Thai restaurant in Anchorage. Curries were excellent!

myThai is about the food. Nothing fancy, nothing hokey, no hint of corporate designers, Basic tables and chairs. Pleasant very efficient service. Good selection of vegetarian items. Very fairly priced. A true hole in the wall, which for us is a tremendous complement...some of the best meals we have ever had have been at restaurants like this. Not disappointed, both the Pad Thai Tofu and Stir Fry Basil were delightfully seasoned, perfect heat. Highly recommended. read more

I love this place. The drunken noodles, pad Thai, fried rice and eggrolls are always at the top of my list. I always crave this place.

I've eaten a lot of Thai food in different cities and this is some of the best I've had!

F O O D Oh my goodness the food was absolutely delicious! My sister and I went with some Thai staples and got the Drunken Noodles and Pad Thai. We've had our share of Thai food and it was sooo good! The portions were large with good portions of protein and vegetables, the noodles were cooked al dente and both dishes were sauced well. We've been to restaurants where there just wasn't enough sauce and this wasn't the case. We ordered our spice level 1 and 2 and it had just enough bite to still be enjoyable. It's definitely a must if you're in the area! Drunken Noodles (pork) // $14.95 Pad Thai (beef) // $14.95 S E R V I C E We came on a Wednesday during lunch and while it wasn't a packed house they had a steady flow of dine-in customers and to-go orders. I'm not sure if this is normal for Anchorage since we were visiting but there was only 2-3 people working in what seemed like a family-owned restaurant. While it was a little slow to take our order in the beginning, the older women working were very sweet and attentive once they took our orders. Passable Thai food with lots of veggie and vegan options. We stopped in for lunch one day, having seen that they have a separate vegetarian menu and that staff are familiar with what can be made vegan. So we each got a lunch special: one of us a green curry and another the red curry, which comes with a choice of brown or white rice, and choice of fresh or fried roll ($13). It took close to half an hour for our dishes to come out for some reason, and they weren't very busy. Both our curries were quite watery, as though they diluted the coconut milk with way too much watery. The flavours lacked richness and flavour depth, but were otherwise OK. Portion-wise, it was on the small side, but for the price and given it's a lunch meal, it wasn't too bad. 2-2.5/5 is what I'd give this place anywhere else, but given where we are, how vegan-friendly it is, and the friendly service, I'm uprating it a bit. EDIT: We returned for dinner to try it again, seeing as it's slim pickings for vegan options in Anchorage. We split three dishes, all modified to be vegan: -Pad see ew -- not made with the traditional very wide flat noodles, just the usual chow fun noodles you get at Chinese restaurants. Bland but passable. -Spicy veggie fried rice -- despite asking for this to be 5/5 in spiciness, it was maybe 3/5 at best. Not the most complex of flavours, but tasty enough. -Garlic tofu vegetables served with a side of brown rice -- this delivered more closely on the requested spiciness, but was still fairly unsophisticated. Fine. All in all, slightly better than the lunch experience, but still not much to praise. 3/5 is a very generous rating. read more

Pros - a little on the sweet side and creamy side. not completely authentic, but better than some others i've tried locally (Pho Lotus was mostly cream and inedible). they cater to a more western palate - actually spicy, if you request it Cons - mediocre meat quality. pork is not tender, and shrimps are small and overcooked - often forgets part of to-go orders Conclusion - this will please most western palates unfamiliar with thai food - it will be decent/ok enough for more experienced palates searching for authentic thai food (stronger flavor and spices, less coconut cream and sweetness) in a stitch read more

Ordered take-out for the first time last night. The only reason I'm not giving this place 5 stars is because my order was wrong--I paid for extra protein (beef and pork) and didn't get anything but a few pieces of tofu, and since it was a takeout order, there wasn't much I was going to do about it. If the order had been correct I would have given them a 5/5!!! Their flavor is amazing!! So so good!! Seriously. I'm floored. Amazing food!!!!!! read more

I visited myThai again this week while I was staying nearby and my experience was much better this time around. My friend and I visited shortly after restaurants reopened for dine-in with capacity restrictions due to COVID-19. We were the only ones there, but the tables appeared to be adequately spaces and everything was clean. Our server was very welcoming and frequently checked on us to refill our water glasses. I ordered green curry with chicken this time, which was much better than the dish mentioned in my first review. The curry was flavorful with a good amount of spiciness. Good balance of meat and vegetables. We shared the fried tofu bites as an appetizer, which had a nice level of crispiness. The main reason I'm not giving a 5-star review is the prices. Given the relatively small portion sizes, I think the prices are a little too high. My curry was $15.95, the fried tofu bites were around $10, and Thai iced tea was $4.50. Lots of street parking nearby. Quick walk from the 5th Avenue Mall if you happen to be there and want a better meal than what you can get at the food court. read more

Great location! (people complaining about parking...I don't know how you do lower-48 cities if downtown Anchorage is too hard for you...) Super-friendly staff. Portions are a bit on the small side. I wish the food were spicier. (I got a 5-star and it was pretty tame.) The waitress did bring me out the spice-tray and I was able to up the heat though, so much appreciated! This was my first Thai restaurant in Anchorage, first meal after arriving actually and was staying downtown so I called in an order for pad see ew (COVID times). Short & sweet: if you're nearby and want some Thai food, not a bad option to try (I did only try 1 dish) but not a place I'd drive out of the way for... It's like 2.5 stars (3 being average) Details: Ladies seem very sweet, they look of Southeast Asian (Thai... Maybe Laotian?) for guaging authenticity, but sadly, the noodles were a bit dry... Flavor wasn't bad and I thought to myself, this isn't the lower 48... Can't ask for too much with fresh noodles... But that's not true...I had noodles from Royal Thai and the noodles was soft and fresh (their menu claimed fresh...) read more
