    Drunken Noodle and Pork Larb
    Allison C.

First the positives - the Larb was fantastic and the drunken noodle was piping hot. Spring rolls weren't my favorite compared to other places but were good. Now the not so positive (but not bad) Service took quite a while. They were busy, but people came in behind us and got all their food before we got our first dish. Not bad just annoying. Big kicker was the Larb being cold when we got it.... still ate it and would order again, just something to keep in mind.

My family and I ordered takeout from here while we were in Anchorage on vacation and it unfortunately was just not very good... Not sure if it was because we got the wrong things but the only item I actually enjoyed was the spring rolls. Fresh spring rolls: These were the shining star of this meal! They cut up 3 spring rolls into bite size pieces which I really liked. However, the rice paper was sticking together by the time we got home so some of the pieces fell apart though I think this may just be due to the amount of time that passed after we left the restaurant. Drunken noodles (pad kee mao) with beef: The texture of the rice noodles was not good at all; they were sticking to one another and also a bit mushy. Additionally, the flavor of this wasn't great and they didn't wrap the styrofoam container either so it was leaking. Pad khing with tofu: I know this dish is ginger + chicken but I feel like the amount of ginger they used was just WAYYY too much. The only part I enjoyed about this was the steamed rice (lol) and the tofu. Absolutely would never order this again.

My Anchorage Thai tour (note, begun before peak Corona) continues! This is one of my favorites, for two reasons: - They are one of the spicier places. I said "extra spicy" and did not even specify a level, and it was appropriately hot. I find the "5-star" at most Thai places in town to be pretty tame. - They have great lunch specials. (that come with soup) Additionally, the service was spectacular and the ambiance was bright and airy. I was in-and-out in well under an hour. Great Thai stop if you're in the area.

    Thai Basil Chicken Ka-Pao
 AMAZING every time!

We've eaten here for years and years and it is reliably good every time. In our opinion, it is amongst the very best places to eat in Anchorage. Our favorites are the Ka-Pao w/Chicken, cream cheese wontons, fried spring rolls, and the Pho ("Beef Noodle Soup"). Also, it's even better now that they added delivery-everything arrived quickly and very thoughtfully packaged as to not leak or make a mess. Dining in is good too-service is friendly and welcoming...and fast!

Squid Salad, Thai Orchid Salad and Green Curry with Tofu. All fanatic!

An oldie but a goodie. Fresh flavors and ingredients make this Thai food a stand out. My favorites: fresh rolls, egg plant chicken, peanut tofu and Tom yum!

Great food! I ordered for takeout, and the food was ready very quickly. I ordered the tom kha soup and yellow curry. Both were incredible!

Best Thai in anchorage. The food is amazing and the staff is always friendly. The Thai tea is the best I've gotten in Alaska.

The woman working there-could not have been nicer-seated me as quickly as possible and apologized for the inconvenience. I got the fresh rolls (Summer rolls) with shrimp and shrimp fried rice (level 4-1 below Thai hot). I typically would never get fried rice at a Thai restaurant although it is common to their cuisine but I was not in the mood for curry or noodles. The dish was fresh, spicy, the shrimp were large and fresh. Simple, tasty, cooked to order and uprising flavorful. The fresh rolls were delicious, overstuffed, and came with two dipping sauces; the standard peanut sauce (although a little thinner than what is typical) and what was similar to a green goddess sauce/dressing. Both sauces were just ok. I prefer chili oil and luckily the table condiments had that and several others to offer. The meal was inexpensive and overall delicious. The staff were very kind and I will definitely be returning.

FOOD: Lao Pork Sausage (8/10) - Can't find this in many places. Amazing!!! Super juicy, slightly salty sausage that pairs perfectly with the sauce and rice. Would get again! This one also had imitation krab, which is fine but not my favorite. The side dish of garnishes was kind of weak, just bean sprouts, lime and jalepenos. I wish it had cilantro. They must have been out of basil that day too, because we didn't get any with the pho. I want to find a seafood pho with fish cake or house made seafood balls. I think I maybe set my expectations a bit high since moving from Hawaii, every pho place there is a peak experience. My husband tried the beef brisket massaman curry which he thought was very watery and very light in the spice department, which he didn't like much. However our child loved her small kid size chicken pho and we all loved the mango smoothie. It's one of the most flavorful smoothies with perfectly thick blended consistency that you can still suck up the straw. Ambiance is kind of old, dank, dark, and dated but also holds some oddly charming quality nonetheless. Service was straight-forward. Special s/o to the man who welcomed us in, immediately fetched a high chair for our child, and then also helped me with my giant diaper bag which he didn't have to do but was very appreciated. I bet he's a dad.
