C-17 on the menu: basil veg. it comes with a rice (on a separate plate) SO GOOD!

We ordered a variety of dishes and enjoyed them all, but the clear standout--the one we truly wished we had ordered more of--was the Thai Basil Veg with tofu. Initially chosen as an afterthought, it exceeded all expectations with its depth of flavor and delicious sauce. We aren't even vegetarians, but this dish was the highlight of the entire meal. Service was excellent. The restaurant's ambiance is not great, but the food and service more than make up for it.

Still the best pad Thai in town. Great flavor, lots of shrimp and chicken, not saucy like some. Spice can come on the side, I've been Venturing from zero to 1 star spice and it's doable for me. A couple visits ago we tried the fried calamari, the corn cakes, they were delicious. I like their fresh rolls and fried tofu also. And the crab rangoons. They are always super busy with takeout but the service is still prompt.

May or may not have been incredibly hungry, craving Thai food. It's been awhile since poking my head into Lahn and I am so glad we did! The dishes came out hot, flavorful and filled with lots of veggie deliciousness. Their sauces are very tasty and compliment the other ingredients well. Their noodle special is fulfilling with an abundant mix of protein, veggies and noodle variety. I enjoyed the medium spice level, I can still taste and enjoy every bite! My feeling towards the spring rolls remain the same... delicious but 3/$12.95?! I feel that this might just be a thing with fresh rolls because while I can make them at home, I continue to pay 100x more than the DIY version. But I digress. I think we'll be making this a more regular stop :) Thank you for the incredible service too! So welcoming and friendly.

Visiting a friend in Anchorage for a week and wanted some warm soup for the rainy day. I got the Beef Noodle Bowl and the broth was amazing. It was a really good beef broth with a hint of sweetness from the Thai chili sauce. I opted for the homemade wide rice noodles for the up charge of $2. They were good but I don't think I would upgrade them again. I don't they added much. My wife got the Pad Thai and loved it. It comes with a chili seasoning on the plate to spice it up if you like. My buddy got the Popeye curry dish. I tried it and it was really good as well. The portion could feed 2 people. Definitely a place that I would visit often if I lived in town.

Wow! Talk about a lot of flavor combinations all in one. The food was perfect. I would say my favorite was the salad Yum Ven Sen this had the perfect amount of noodles and veggies and a lot of chicken. Had this as an appetizer which was perfect way to start because of the freshness it added to the meal. Then moved onto the spicy Pad Kra Pao which brought the heat that I was looking for. It wasn't just burning sensation in the mouth which was great it caused overall heat. The service was great as water and hot tea never was empty. The food came out quick as well. This little restaurant is the perfect stop for some authentic Thai food for sure. Definitely will be coming back.

Delightful Thai restaurant that is locally owned and operated. This is a family restaurant with authentic flavors and fresh ingredients. Very accommodating to dietary preferences and allergies- just be sure to tell your server! Courteous staff and perfect ambiance for date night, work lunch, or just a meal out!

I was told this place had great fried rice... when I opened up the box I immediately noticed the rice was over cooked and I was correct.. It tastes mushy. Flavor is ok, but disappointed. Will not be coming back

This Thai restaurant really sets itself apart from the others: - great plating and presentation - fast service - cozy, bustling atmosphere It also has great lunch specials that are cheap and come with SOUP! They will make the dishes hot. But's still AK-hot...as in...not very. I got the green curry lunch special (L1) and it was some of the freshest-tasting curry around! Fresh leaf and chili on top was the perfect accent. I'll be back, I wish I lived closer.

The family that owns and operates this gem is Greek and they are not only amazing cooks, but they care about their community!! I have been there eating several times this winter and obviously homeless people would come to the door and be given water, hot soup, half a sandwich, etc. that just made me love this place more. Now to the food. First of all I had the meatball sub which was not only delicious but super filling. The meat was very well seasoned, and the fresh basil just made the marinara pop even more, add the freshly shaved Parmesan cheese and you've got something special. The homemade bread puts this thing into overdrive! Crispy on the outside, light, delicate but not falling apart and heavy enough to hold together all that deliciousness without being filling like you just ate a large pizza. Now to the ridiculous tomato basil soup. I love the clam chowder but the tomato basil is my favorite. Savory, full of flavor, smooth, creamy and not greasy. This in my opinion is the perfect pairing to the meatball sub. You're welcome! The customer service here is amazing too just like the owners and the food. You will always be greeted by a smiling face, and treated like family. You will not regret stopping here. I've eaten the Meatball sub, The Philly, the lasagna and The Gyro ( lamb and chicken) all have been 10 out of 10. The ambiance is like a neighborhood dinner with a small dining room. You will love it!

This was my first introduction to the Moose's Tooth Pub & Pizzeria, who placed respectably at #24. And I must say, as far as the food, it did not disappoint. We arrived with a large party, and it was extremely busy, but we got seated right away. Due to the volume of customers, the service was a bit slow as expected because of the high demand. However, when the food arrived, it was hot, fresh, and very delicious. I ordered from the veggie pizza section, particularly the Wild Mushroom Pizza, in a 10" and thin crust option. The taste, crispiness, and flavor were in the top 2% of all pizzas I've eaten spanning over five continents. It was portioned into four total slices, but I could only eat two. Most likely, it was because I had a large hummus side order, which was extremely fulfilling but very delicious. I also had a Pipeline Stout from the tap to wash it all down. Overall, these meal combinations priced out to be about $40 before tips. The 10 inch thin crust pizza felt overpriced ($15) for its size but more than made up for it in taste. For clarity: this rating is off the dim sum and dim sum-type dishes alone. Did not try the baked goods (aside from dan tat) or the rice plates/noodle plates, which seem to make up most of the menu. And the dim sum is... hit or miss. The bok choy is a generous portion, properly cooked, not the most interesting, but not bad. Spicy shrimp won tons are on the small side but tasty, although lacking in the umami that their better-known competitors (especially starting with a "D") begin with. Shu mai (shrimp or chicken, I got shrimp) were the most average/solid of the bunch, which to be fair, is entirely adequate. Har gow looked very pretty, but the skins were too thick, both skins and filling decidedly missing in flavor. The bean curd wrap was giant, super-sized vs. what you'd normally see, and while the bean curd wrap was on-point, the pork filling was pretty plain. This extended to the lo mai gai (sticky rice), which was ENORMOUS, like triple the size of what you'd see at normal dim sum, and similarly plain filling. To their credit, the quality of the stick rice itself was quite good, and the amount of filling was ample. Finally, the dan tat. Crust was a bit too crumbly and lacking in richness of the better ones, and the filling was oddly wrinkled, like it'd cooled too fast. However, the filling quality was good enough. They were busy when I walked in for dinner and were completely full a few minutes later, so much kudos to them-- they clearly are appreciated by the community, and it shows. Some diners at the table next to mine got the usual rice/noodle plates and many left quite full, so portions are good. Kitchen, as busy as they are, is both fast enough and a bit uneven. Short version: you're in Alaska, you can't expect what you get in 415 or 626. However, don't get too carried away either.
