This is called the Islander. It's spam fired rice with an egg on top, along with Furikake. I great option if you're not a big seafood fan but you are here for some reason.

Freaking fabulous!! Our waitress Mariah was incredible too! We will probably have to eat here every time we're in town.

They had such an upbeat vibe inside! It was nice and fun when just sitting there. Server (can't remember her name) was amazing giving us all the goods favorites popular. Since it was our first time she took care of us well. The Workz had sooooooo much garlic! I LOVED IT!! Got mild to enjoy the taste of the sauce. Wasn't too spicy just a little kick. If you can handle spicy I'd go up a spice! Shrimp wasn't over cooked so it was easy to peel off! These were the first crab legs of the trip and 1000% happy with it! First time having reindeer sausage. Loved it! It did have a different taste obviously so if you give it a try, dip it w the sauce and eat it w your rice!

Sadly, I agree with pretty much everything Daniella A. had to say. Maybe it's because we were at Whisky & Ramen the night before, but the service here was very, VERY underwhelming. This is one of those rare places where I was eager to hear "the spiel". You know what I'm talking about: the little scripted speech places with unique dining situations give you if it's your first time? I needed that here. My family and I studied the website and the menu, and read the Yep reviews beforehand but we still needed some help. How much is typical for 3 people? Should we get an entree? How hot is the xxx level? The is "The Workz!"? Are you out of anything (they were, and didn't say till we tried to order it)? I made reservation on Yelp. I thought we were in great shape when the hostess asked "is it your first time dining with us?" Then our server (who was the same person as the host) was pretty much like "what are you ordering?". Zero explanation, zero chatter, zero recommendations. It was like being grilled on a test. They were then quick to butt in an tell us they were out of things (no AK shrimp), or quick to pop-quiz us on options that were never explained to us. It was a jarring experience. The food was good, not great. The seasoning was wonderful. Unlike most food in Anchorage the (non hot) spices were liberally used. There was BOAT LOADS of garlic. The spice level was really weak though. If you get XX spice level it will be very mild. I recommend XXX spice level if you like hot food. We got an entree: the Fiyah Crab, it was well-seasonabled and tasty. The white rice was useful to help soak up the wonderful lemongrass seasoning that is the Fiyah sauce. (contrary to the sound of the name the fiay sauce, while delicious, is not spicy, nor is it supposed to be) Since the crucial part of the menu, the seafood boil was not explained to us, I'll try to explain it to you, dear reader: You get seafod in a bag. it's in a bag to preserve the copious amount of seasoning. When you get it, you cut it, and dump it into a large metal bowl. You then eat from that bowl and leave the shells on the table, which has a plastic cover on it. You choose from various seafood by the pound. Make sure you ask which ones they are out of, because they are often out of them. We choose: Shrimp Crawfish Snow crab You then choose a seasoning, we chose "The Workz!". None this was explained but I'm assuming it's the "everything" seasoning. For heat level we chose XX, which was barely detectable. You then choose "add ons" which are non-seafood proteins as well as stuff you'd find at a cajun crawfish burl: corn, sausage, potatoes, etc The shrimp was spectacular, some of the best I've ever had! The crawfish was pathetic. Mushy, tiny tail meat. Sucking the heads was great though! The snow crab was somewhere in the middle. The service is really important to a place as conceptual as this. Hopefully this review helps someone out that's trying to order food for their family here!

Best place to get your Alaskan King Crab legs here in Anchorage! This restaurant just opened 3 years ago. Our server was very friendly. The seafood had good pricing and the sauces were great, especially their house sauce which had lots of garlic. I'd say this is my favorite restaurant here.

This place is 100% worth the 1hr wait time!!! Lemme start by saying if you don't like garlic this is not the place for you!!! I'm pretty sure they use about 40 garlic bulbs per order lol. We ordered two seafood boils one with ingenious crab and one with king crab! And both were flawlessly delish!!! When they say spicy tho they mean it! So be prepared to have a snot rag! Everything about this place was fantastic the only complaint is they need a bigger establishment!! We will be back

The food was amazing! I enjoyed dinner with my children, their spouses, and grandchildren. They were able to get us in, feed us delicious food, and get us out effectively. Our server Katelyn, with her southern hospitality was extremely efficient handling our large party of 9 with kindness. Their team supported her in keeping our drinks full and our tables uncluttered. Inferno is Alaska's seafood boil place to be! 5 starts worthy!

Am not supposed to eat crabs but i did lol... u can join the waitlist but still you have to wait in vain. Is it worth it? Yeahhh!! Its the bomb, best seafood boil ever esp with the fiyah sauce! I have wanted to come back & server Mariah is the best!!! Place is clean & spacious, even have an area to wash your claws :-)

We had 2 lbs of snow crab leg,1 lb of shrimp and 1lb of lobster, not in the pic

Since we loved seafoods, and we've been to a lot of seafood boils, this one did not disappoint. Fresh juicy seafoods. Calamari was good and the dip is kinda new twist. Kids loved it! Service is good, although our lobster was forgotten and was served late, our server gave us a discount. We came here during winter time and kinda busy, so I suggest make a reservation, place kinda small but cozy. I've seen big parties and ordered their Denali feast and looks good and huge! We want their the WoRkz sauce and served in a big bowl! ( we wanted ours on the side)

Me and my partner always go here for our special dates. It's always good, waitresses are always kind especially our most previous one Kaitlyn. She's super kind and funny. The environment is amazing and it's clean.

Food was amazing! We went on a Saturday night and waited about 90 minutes before we sat, the wait was worth it. The chicken wings and loaded tator tots was delicious. We ordered shrimp, clams, crab and lobster for our boil. All was great but the lobster and shrimp was the best of them all! Will definitely be back.

Inferno has become our go to seafood restaurant every time we are in Anchorage! This time around we ordered the 4foot seafood trough! It was so much food that 8 men could not finish it

Food was great, would definitely go again. Service was excellent; our waitress was very attentive and explained everything as it was our first time there. Atmosphere and ambiance good.

We ordered several meals between 2 adults and 3 kids in addition to an appetizer and drink. They're are listed in order of favorite to least favorite: Calamari Seafood pasta Fish and chips Kids fried chicken and rice Scallop Risotto House margarita Kids dessert (house made sorbet) The server asked what soup or salad we would like within the meal, and little did we know, it would be an additional $7 up charge for each. In addition, the margarita was all ice, and tasted like your typical Jose Cuervo margarita. The calamari was good and fairly thick, enjoyed by everyone. The seafood pasta had a good flavor and loaded with seafood, truly the one meal I enjoyed. The fish and chips had 3 large portions of halibut, with a heavy fried batter, and average fries. It didn't taste better than your average fish and chips, and I'm glad I didn't personally order this dish. The kids chicken and rice had a surprisingly large amount of chicken with bland rice. The scallop risotto, just simply wasn't very good, it wasn't bland, but the flavor was lacking, and of the 3 that tried it, no one ate much. The kids dessert was called house made sorbet, and my kiddos were so excited to eat it. They tried one bite and almost cried, he said it tasted like broccoli, and I laughed and tried it myself...no kidding, this tasted like broccoli!! It was absolutely awful, like one of those gag jelly beans. I was expecting a high bill, but the hidden charges at the end really added to our disappointment. I regret coming here

I was really hungry so I got there right when they opened at 11 a.m. I was able to be seated immediately and opted to sit upstairs where the tables were lower as compared to downstairs where the tables were high tops. Off the bat the food is phenomenal. For starters I got their popular handmade Bavarian pretzel. It was perfectly seasoned with butter and salt and the pretzel itself was soft and fluffy. It came with a side of cheese which was just as tasty. I was a little nervous it would taste like the melted cheese you eat at an amusement park- but this cheese had fantastic quality. One really neat thing about this brewery is they make their own fountain drinks! I tried the raspberry one and as you can see they aren't shy about the portions! The drink was really good. It had a great flavor to it, and a nice balance. The raspberry wasn't overpowering which I'm grateful for. For my entree I had the Yak burger that came with a side of tater tots. My waiter recommended I get it cooked at medium to keep it juicy. Typically I'm a medium well to well done type of girl, but I decided to trust his judgement and he was right! The burger was huge, messy, and delicious. The medium was definitely a good call. It was juicy but not so red where it would be off putting! Overall, I had a really incredible dining experience at 49th state brewing. And the prices were unbelievably reasonable. My meal came out to about $52 (not including my tip). I would love to come back when it's a bit warmer and sit outside- the views from the restaurant are phenomenal. Also, shout out to my waiter! When we arrived things we a little disorganized when they seated us, but the team was pleasant. But after that, things got weird. Our primary server Alaya had some seriously bad vibes that felt... directed at us. We watched the way she interacted with other people and it was definitely specific to our party. After we placed our order and the meat arrived as she was placing meat on the grill she dumped blood all over my side of the table and into my dipping sauces and I wondered if it was intentional, but I didnt say anything. Then she placed TWO WHOLE TRAYS OF MEAT ON THE GRILL at once which they are not supposed to do due to cross contamination and it takes too long for things to cook. Since you only have your table for 90 minutes, I also wondered if this was intentional. She didn't come back to check on us and I had to push the call bell to ask for help to turn up the heat since 20 minutes later the meat was still raw. Then when it was time to change to chicken they usually change the grill plate because the plate gets very smokey. She completely ignored us when I called for help. And when she finally did come back she let raw meat plates on our table, which I know they are not supposed to do. She kept giving us weird nasty looks- it was so strange. We were nice to her- i have no idea what her issue was. On our way out, we mentioned to the cashier how Alaya had ruined our experience. She asked if it felt "targeted"- so I think they've gotten, other complaints about her. We spent over $2oo on a 3 person meal, but i can assure you we won't be back if we're going to be treated like that. I'll save my business for WonJo.
