Open seating/dining area that was clean and well lit. Good menu selections, they're expanding and will be offering hot pot soon (not sure exactly when) too! Tried their pho chicken, large bowl with decent flavoring and toppings. The broth is what I aim for and it was meh--good. Nothing new here, not bad either. Service was fast and friendly, greeted immediately. They have a lot of to-go orders! My food came out fast and fresh! **takeout order** I used their easy ordering system on their website to do a pickup order. I purchased the pad Thai, gyoza and Thai tea Everything was delicious - except the chicken. The chicken was tough and seemed well...old. Not spoiled, but a few days in the fridge after being cooked old. Pad Thai was very good otherwise and very generous serving - easily two meals or split with a friend. Next time I will ask for extra peanut sauce on the side. I added my own chili paste at home to help amp up the flavor profile a bit. It really helps bring out the lime in my opinion. I love that they took care to keep the sprouts separate so they can be fresh and crunchy when you get home and it helps complete the meal. Gyoza was good and standard and came with soy sauce. Thai tea was just too delicious I'm sad I drank it down so fast. Inside was nice and bright. They were very friendly. Their parking lot had 6-7 cars so I'm very hopeful PL is here to stay after watching this location struggle in the past. Oh! I also liked the texting about pickup times, updated pickup times and then also when it's ready for you to pickup. I look forward to trying other dishes. read more

Above average pho at above average prices. The Pho here is good, but not great. It's better than many of the Vietnamese restaurants in town that do great Vietnamese food...but their pho is kind of average. It's not as good as some of the better Pho spots in town, though. And the prices are pretty steep though. A few dollars higher than Phonatik, and I don't think it's justified given the difference in quality and the ambiance between the two. This place is often dead though, so if you don't want to wait, this is your spot! I'll re-review when I've had some of the non-Pho items. read more

Pros - if you request "spicy," it's actually spicy for spicy lovers Cons - the curries are oddly and distractingly too creamy. that's the predominant flavor and texture over the spices, and i tried multiple. this must be for the caucasian palette? it's not authentic - quantity is very small and sliced very thin, even if you pay for extra meat. this goes for beef and pork. if there's vegetables in the dish, they consistently overload those over proteins - quality of meat is low and not tender - for the price point (ex: each dish is over $20), the meat portion + vegetable to meat ratio is out of hand Conclusion - if you are unfamiliar with thai food or are seeking a gentle introduction towards authentic thai food, you could start here. but if you're looking for authentic, not overly creamy thai food, avoid - 2 stars bc it wasn't awful. i could see people unfamiliar with thai food liking it. it was just... unusual for someone expecting authentic thai food read more

I've been meaning to go here for quite sometime. I knew it was one of the newer restaurants in town and I LOVE Thai food, so last night I decided to check this place out. Pad Thai is usually one of my go to dishes when I order Thai food, so I decided to order the Seafood Pad Thai. I honestly was not very impressed with the flavor. It was good....but it had way too much tomato sauce. I might as well have been eating spaghetti. Not only that, but because of inflation, the prices here are astronomically high. Too high. It's not a fine dining restaurant, but if you're going to charge $20 plus for a plate of Pad Thai, you should at least add some rice or a spring roll or two. The seats at the booth were sunken in a bit too much and the tables were a tad high. That should probably be looked into. The staff was nice. I liked the service, but the value you're getting for the food isn't worth the price you pay. I understand the cost of some ingredients inflation is out of their hands to some degree, but $20 for a dinner, when a few years ago it was only $13 to $15 is a bit over board. read more

We tried out this place and we were seated once we entered the place. We had four different staff come to our table and at first we were like service seemed fast here as they showed attention to us. This quickly vanished as more customers were seated. Halfway through our dinner we no longer were being attended to. Other tables were getting waters refilled but not our table. A simple water refill was not provided and we had to walk up to find someone for basic service. The lady who dropped our ticket had poor customer service and had noticeable stress or pressure from having a lot of people there. Our first visit was a fail. read more

Had chicken fried rice and fresh spring rolls. Huge portion, which is nice, but was mostly just rice, not much chicken or veggie. The fried rice didn't have much flavor, but it wasn't bad. The spring rolls were ok, not great. Service was good. Edit: bumped to 3 stars because my wife's food was pretty good. Not sure what she ordered- rice noodles and beef of some sort. I am disappointed to say pho lotus was far below average. The interior of the restaurant is very inviting, and the staff were super friendly, which is why I feel they deserve 2 stars. Unfortunately the food is very overpriced and extremely bland. I had ordered the Tom kha soup, and there was a dead bug floating in the broth. When I showed the waitress the bug, they staff were very apologetic and asked if I wanted a new order of soup, and then preceded to say I'd only get charged half price. For the amount they charge for their below average food, and how they still wanted to charge me for soup with a dead bug in it, I will certainly not return. Do yourself a favor and go to pho Lena on Spenard, they have incredible Thai/Vietnamese food and take pride in customer satisfaction. read more

I ordered the Tom kha & it was delicious, absolutely the best tom kha I've tried so far. The house fried rice was super good too. My bf got the beef pad see- Ew and said he loved it. The chef gave us complimentary egg rolls because it was our first time trying the place out. The chef is the owner and it is every bit of owner operated goodness you can imagine. The culinary palate is exceptional. The ingredients are authentic and very very fresh tasting. The Thai tea I really really liked, I thought it was perfect- usually I find it way too sweet. The whole experience was really on point. There was almost a constant stream of take-out orders being pumped out of the kitchen. They were really busy and didn't miss a beat, they stayed on top of everything the entire duration of our meal: Our wait time was minimal for our food after ordering. I really liked our server too she was extra nice and personable and took really good care of us. Also I really liked the tile flooring in the restaurant, it was beautiful. This is my new go-to place for my Thai cravings. I highly recommend! read more
