Came in for a quick lunch. Immediately greeted and they suggested the pho. Ordered beef pho, it came out very quickly and was delicious. Massive portion, they packaged the rest up for me. I also ordered a Thai tea that was wonderful. Family owned, fresh food, reasonable prices, highly suggest. read more

The food here is great, seasoned just right !!! A wide selection to choose from, always find something to match your taste or mood. The owner will always ensure that your preference for spice is just right. Shrimp fried rice is awesome !!! The service is quick and always friendly. I'd say the ambiance is relaxed and casual. Definitely one of our favorite places to dine. read more

I wanted pho and my friend suggested Pho Vietnam. I had the chicken pho and liked it! The bowl was huge and the broth was tasty. The chicken was a bit dry but I think that's common since the hot broth can easily overcook it. The service was fast and friendly. The gentleman working there was funny and said, "See you tomorrow!" when we were leaving. He seemed to be joking with everyone which made for a fun atmosphere. I would go back if I was nearby and craving pho. read more

The best pho there is, I always get the pho tai and is always amazing. I mean some ladies can work on their customer service skills or smile a bit more but I get it I guess. It has a chill vibe, you can seat yourself anywhere but when it gets busy is a cluster F... best time is to go during like mid day. But overall the food is amazing read more

Okay let me get this cleared up before anything. I loved this restaurant for a while but a new experience will prevent me from coming here ever again. I visited this store on 12-27-25. Everything was normal and the food was delicious as expected. The service was the usual quick and clean as it's always been. However when I was ready to go I asked for my bill, which came out to a total of $61. I give the normal 15% which is a 9 dollar and some change tip. I leave thinking everything is good. I wake up a couple days later to check what I have in my account, only to see that someone in that restaurant up charged their own tip. Giving themselves a whopping 42% tip, having charged $87 on my card! That's a $26 dollar tip that I DID NOT AUTHORIZE. I contacted my bank to dispute the charge and filed a prompt police report for fraud. I will never visit this place again as they have lost my trust. It's a shame really. read more

My family has been coming here for years and every time it hits the spot. The staff are very kind and welcoming and the food usually comes out no more than 10 minutes after ordering. This place is my go to for a bowl of pho and one of my favorite restaurants in town! read more

Hands down the best pho in town! We've been coming here for years, and it's always consistently delicious. The broth is rich and flavorful, the portions are generous, and the ingredients are always fresh. The staff are warm and welcoming, and it feels like a spot that really cares about its customers. The food is amazing! Let your taste buds be transported to Vietnam as you taste the wonderful food at this local restaurant. Anchorage can be extremely cold during the winter months. No worries, this restaurant will warm you up with some very tasty and delicious Pho as well as other very tasty soups. The menu cover dishes from South East Asia with focus on Vietnamese cuisine. Service is quick and the staff is friendly. Prices are reasonable. Highly recommend this place. Your palate will thank you after. Enjoy and Buon Appetito! read more

My Bánh mì was fantastic. I ate the whole thing before I could take a picture! So I ordered fresh spring rolls just to make sure this place is legit... and badda-boom it is! Ordered pho tai. The broth tasted like chicken broth, not beef. Not very flavorful. Noodles were way over cooked and nothing like typical pho rice noodles which are usually thin and flat. These were rounded and the bite profile was more like a Korean kalguksoo. read more

I came here to have pho because I was in the mood for noddles but I switched to my favorite ribeye and sticky rice. Love dipping both in the rice vinegar fish sauce and eat with shredded carrots and radish. I also love to have their egg rolls with papaya salad. I shared it with my sisters so I couldn't request for the papaya salad to be spicier cause they don't eat spicy like me. It's been about a couple of years since we physically went in to eat and the owner still remembered us lol. He even named off our usual items we order haha. read more

I have been here probably a dozen of times over the years. The ambiance is that of a typical hole in the wall. The food tho is good. I have never had any problems with orders. The last time I was there a week ago and the owner seemed to recognize me when I came to pick up my take out lunch. I always go for the vermicelli combo. Always hits the stop. read more

Always friendly and clean. Best egg rolls over cold vermicelli with cucumber and cilantro in Anchorage!

This place use to have a good pho broth that me and my friends would come and hang out and eat here. But now the portion is quite small for the amount your paying. And the broth in my opinion, has become more water down. The pad see ew, however is still amazing whenever I order it from here. The noodles are amazingly good, with some veggies. Highly recommend with beef! Service is okay. Would come back for the pad see ew but not the pho anymore! read more

I'm new to AK and haven't tried that many pho places yet to compare but I'd come back to this place for the bun bo hue (spicy noodle soup)! Most people get the regular pho tai (sliced raw beef with noodles soup) but I like to try places with bun bo hue to judge and this place didn't disappoint! I'm from Cali so the taste is very similar to Cali (which isn't quite the same as the ones in Saigon, VN...). It's missing some veggies I'm used to seeing but the taste was yummy! Ordered their fresh spring roll... Will pass on that next time. read more

Great vegan options and very nice owners. We go at least once a week and the food is consistently delicious.

Best Vietnamese crepes that are LOADED in Anchorage!! Love the slight heat of the yellow curry, if I'm honest I could even do without all the potatoes, carrots and chicken it's SO good! The rice served with it was nice, moist, and stickkkyy (hehe) The beef was rare when it came out which is perfection as it cooks more in the broth. Food comes out really quick, hot, and fresh. I love all the open lighting with the windows in there as well. Lack of star because of the service our waitress was talking on her AirPods and kept missing questions we were asking or requesting. - & that is a common issue here. Also the lumpia isn't that great at all, and overcooked. Everything else has always been delicious! read more

I'm from Orange County, CA, home of the largest Vietnamese population outside of Vietnam. There's a ton of Vietnamese food, especially pho. I have to say, I'm impressed with the pho here. It's top notch and ranks very high on my list. I'm in Alaska for a business trip and I typically would not go eat pho. However, it's cold outside, snowing, and my hotel doesn't have a restaurant. I looked for all the restaurants within walking distance and I found this one. At first, I was skeptical. How good can it be? I was just hoping it was edible. The restaurant was crowded even though it's past lunch hour. I sat down and he gave me a cup of ice water. I ordered the pho special and it came out within three minutes. I was impressed that the restaurant served mint along with bean sprouts. Wow! When the pho came out, I immediately tasted the broth before I added sriracha and hoisin sauce. It was delicious. I didn't taste any msg. The cost was $17 and the pho had plenty of meats. I was full. Even the noodles were good! The noodles weren't clumped together. I was quite impressed! The owner came by and we struck a conversation. He said that most of the pho restaurants are owned by the family members so the taste is similar. I highly recommend this pho restaurant. read more

Another solid, if unremarkable, pho house in Anhorage. Pho Vietnam has many locations throughout Anchorage, and this seems to be the original. (?) This pho house is unique in that their main specialty seems to be...pho. (some other pho places seem to feature many Thai/Laotian dishes as well. In fact, sometimes the pho can take a back seat) They've got all the classic pho variations you could think of, and you've got all the various accoutrements at your table. Prices are ~$10, standard for Anchorage. Definitely worth the stop if you're in the area and need some tasty soup. read more

Pho Vietnam has one of the tastiest broths I've had in a while. Definitely surprised that Alaska has a decent pho place! But I'm still not used to paying $10+ dollars for a bowl of pho compared to the $6 bowl of pho in Cali. The regular bowl is a decent size. However, the amount of noodles inside the bowl is pretty small. I suggest adding additional noodles if you're hungry! I could probably even get by without adding any extra condiments besides chili oil into the broth! That's how tasty the broth is! read more

I travel the world and try all the foods I can and this place has the best Pho and spring rolls I have found so far. The egg rolls are great too. I an in Anchorage several times a month and have eaten here many times. I have always had great service. this place was "not good". I walk in to order the man rushed me into my order ordered for me before I could look at the menu. I had a ban mi sandwich and it was dry the meat was cold and it had no veggies. while I waited I got extra sauce. the man stopped me he said we have some in your box. he lied. when I hit the road, I noticed he replaced the regular sauce you normally get with the sauces I got. he bold faced lied to me. I paid 45 and 5 for tip. that was disrespectful. it's horrible because I called. he said you want another sauce. it just upset me so much. I work hard to be able to buy for for my girlfriend and son. this is lame. this place is horrible. it was quiet in there. only two tables were eating. I can't believe I was treated like this. $50 dollars later and I got disappointed. On top of that the pho did not come with raw meat. That's is just disrespectful. read more

The food is great but the man helping me was extremely rude. He abruptly hung up on me before I was done ordering and I had to call back. Then when I was picking up my food I was getting spicy chili sauce and hoison sauce from their take out sauce bar and he told me no, that i didn't need those with what I was eating. Uh excuse me? This is my food and I know what I like on it. Don't tell me how to eat my food or what belongs on it. Go to pho vietnam 8 down the road. Their food is better and better service. This place is brilliant! Soulful, tasty food and the portions are GINORMOUS so take care when you order. We ordered WAY too much food for two people and weren't warned about the quantity while ordering either so we ended up doggy bagging most of our food and using it for dinner, too! Special shout out to the Thai Green and Yellow curries- absolutely scrumptious stuff! Worst service with rude people. Pho Tai is $10 on their menu and I got charge for $14! Stay away from these crooks!

Good food but noticed the price at this place has increased a lot, will be thinking twice on returning.

Worst pho place I have ever been to in my entire life. It was expensive and disgusting. The food was less than mediocre. The broth was dirty and oily. We all got pho and the tripe in the soup looked old and handled improperly. The meat had a strange film and color to it. The service was lousy and I was so terribly unimpressed with this place. I eat pho all the time everywhere and this hands down was THEE MOST TERRIBLE PLACE for food. The place was dirty, the food was dirty. It just made me feel ill. They took out their trash through the front door while we were eating and that was disgusting. They should do that after hours or through a service back door. I am Cambodian and hang out with a ton of Vietnamese people and know what amazing pho should look and taste like. This place is garbage. I am ashamed of this place honestly. I don't know how they got so many great reviews, makes me sad. I hope people get a chance to taste better Vietnamese food. Honestly I know there are not a lot of great places to eat in Anchorage, let alone great Asian places, but steer clear of this place. If you want better cleaner tasting/looking food at least head to Phonatik down the way. Just look at the broth difference and the ingredients difference. You will see how poorly Pho Vietnam executes their food. I was sitting with an entire table of Vietnamese and Cambodian people the day I tried this place and everyone left shaking their heads and upset that we would waste our time and money here. read more

Their pho had the weakest beef broth I have ever tasted. I had to ask if they'd accidentally given me the vegetable instead. The level of fat in the broth was incredibly low. At least it was improved with chili oil. The service was so-so. They were really pushy as to whether I knew what I wanted as soon as I sat down. Then, instead of listening to me, the waiter presumed to know what I wanted. He was walking away as I tried to add tofu to my order. I flagged someone down later to get some. I don't know if it was the way I looked/smelled as I had just come back from a a hike, but I was not impressed. read more

OK. I really love this place. I've been here enough times to say the food is consistent, delicious and extremely fast. Definitely one of my favorites in Anchorage. I still still think all their dishes are over priced by a dollar or two, but I won't quibble given how predictably delicious their food is. I've never waited more than 5 minutes for my food, which I find astonishing since they are always extremely busy. I think everyone pretty much loves this place, even though it's small and cramped and cold. The food is so tasty, you'll scarf it down so fast, you'll barely notice the Arctic blast when the door opens. I like this location too, because a lot of other great stores that I frequent are nearby. Try the crispy noodles Me Kopp (sp?)... it's heavenly. read more

I like it... but I don't. While their food is delicious, namely their pho of course, I can't help but always feel extremely rushed. The workers here seem to want to get you in and get you out ASAP. I get that they want to move tables but it's irritating feeling like you have to scarf down a huge bowl of hot soup in just minutes. On a happier note, I recently tried their Tom Yum soup. It's a Thai soup made with lemon grass. I think they use they're pho broth because it had a hint of pho flavor. This was the best Tom Yum I've ever had! Overall it's good. It's popular so be prepared to wait during rush times (lunch and dinner). They do take out! read more

The thing about pho shops is that they're all different and as weird as it sounds, I have different pho moods. Some of the different things I look at when I'm trying a pho spot for the first time are 1) quality of vegetables 2) clarity of broth (vs cloudy or fatty) 3) if meat is raw when it comes to the table or already cooked 4) if there are shallow plates/bowls provided on the table, among other things. I liked the quality of the vegetables when they arrived at the table, but I don't believe any jalapenos were available which was a bummer. Their broth is lighter and very clean, which while not my absolute favorite in town is still a winner in my book. Broths like these I don't add as much to it because I enjoy the fragrance and the flavor thought I personally don't feel it has as much depth as others do. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the steak was still raw when it arrived at the table, because while it can be a preference I feel like it's nice to be able to see the quality of the meat that goes into my soup! And it was cut super thin like I like, cooking well in the broth and tender to chew. We also noticed that the shallow plates were provided, which we are always surprised to find NOT provided at other pho spots and we normally have to ask for so we can mix condiments on the side and dip into it. Other than pho we also got extra spicy papaya salad which actually had decent cook. "Extra spicy" to a lot of places usually isn't as spicy as we like, so I'm glad I got a kick out of this one! Overall this place isn't my first pick for pho but I'd definitely consider it when I'm in the mood for what it has to offer and I'm nearby. I'm not looking for fancy decor or an anticipating waitstaff, I just want a good bowl of pho and this place has it. read more

I've always chased good Pho in any city that I've lived. Anchorage has such an unexpectedly large established Vietnamese population that there are an abundance of Pho places in town. pricier than what I'm used to in California. But the pho(~$12) was good. I guess it's normal here for that average price. I got the combination pho which came with lots of goodies. they are not shy with their ingredients and lots of basil and bean sprouts too. took a bit longer than expected but they were busy. The best pho place in Anchorage, in my opinion. My go-to order is pho beef extra meat, an order of egg rolls (fried rolls) and either a lemonade (lime juice, sugar, ice, delicious) or a Thai tea. The pho beef broth is clean and beefy, perfectly simple and soul satisfying. Everything is always fresh yet quick to come out. The staff are friendly and if you're a regular, they'll quickly learn what you consistently order. I go here all the time and it feels like family. They know my entire family, know what everybody eats! The atmosphere is relaxed, usually fairly busy to slammed. That being said, Pho Vietnam is a well oiled machine and every one moves smoothly so customers ebb and flow with ease. To top it off, they have multiple locations all over Anchorage and each one provides the same familiar consistency of their delicious food! read more
