This place is SOOO GOOD. Authentic and delicious Vietnamese food. I have had several of their dishes and can highly recommend the following: - goi tom (shrimp salad) - comes with generous portion of meaty grilled shrimp - bun (vermicelli dishes) with grilled pork and spring roll - their meat is really flavourful - bo kho (beef stew) - banh cuon (soft rice rolls) Their prices are very reasonable and the people who work here are lovely. They also have a display case in the front with takeaway items that are difficult to find, like banh da lon (glutinous sweet green and yellow dessert) and banh bo (like a steamed sweet rice cake) and che (Vietnamese coconut milk-based desserts). Normally I can only find these items downtown at Banh Mi Nguyen Hung. Honestly this place is worth the drive, and I'm happy to have found a new go-to Viet place.

After painfully waiting two hours at the Drive Test Centre a few doors down for Pho Toronto, my friend and I couldn't pass up grabbing lunch. Upon entering the nice brightly decorated venue, you had a choice of either booth or table seating. Here's a restaurant where size matters!...price wise that is, where you can have a choice of small, medium or a large serving. Our lunch consisted of a medium Pho Nam $9.50 - brisket beef rice noodle soup, a small Pho Thai Lan $8.50 - meat ball, rare meat, tendon tripe, brisket, tomyum sauce beef rice noodle soup, and a small appetizer of Rice Vermicelli Noodle $5.99 (...the accompanying peanut sauce was delicious). Service was great but the meal was average. Anyhow, I would still come here again.

MUST TRY!! this is the deep fried chicken spring roll!

Absolutely love this place! Not only the food was good, but the washrooms are extremely clean! For me, regardless of how good the food is at a restaurant, if they have a washroom and it's not clean, I wouldn't go back.

Very clean and flavorful broth. Little to no fat which tells me they skim the fat off and its not loaded with msg like a lot of places. Their other dishes are also good but I highly recommend this place for a good bowl of Pho.

I went to Pho Metro and it was absolutely packed. Decided to give this a try as it's near by and had an enjoyable lunch. Nice decor, super clean and pho was delicious. Will definitely be going here more often.

Small pho with hardly any noodles

Decided to give it a try based on the reviews. The portions were small. I order a small pho and they could of given more noodles. Oh there was also a eyelash I found in my pho. Other places I've been to are more generous. The rolls were okay. The chive wasnt too fresh in the roll. The service wasn't the greatest. Had to ask for tea refill and we asked for bill and it never came. Had to ask for it again. I probably won't return. I rather drive a bit further and go to pho metro. They did give 10% for grand opening special.

The menu is not organise properly for us to understand which Vietnam’s descriptions would go with which English translation...

I noticed a lot of Western restaurants lately are adding Asian elements to their menus. Some places I've liked before, like Joey, have a lot of Asian influence now, which doesn't always work. But at Lee, the combination of tacos and spring rolls actually works really well. The salmon is incredibly tender and flavorful too. Overall, a very pleasant dining experience.

Every table was occupied when I arrived, and I was happy to chill out by the bar and look over the cocktail menu. Cool that they had a drink called Shanghai 75 since my friend was from there, bonus! The menu selections were expertly picked, of course, and gave a good sense of the theme of this Asian fusion food and how the chef thinks. Take a look at my pictures and set your sights on another 'Licious coming up for one of these fun events. Think of 'Licious as much more bold and light hearted way to enjoy some of Toronto's finest restaurants and see how well they work under pressure, which make these so popular and so much fun!

It was hearty and flavorful! The eggs were very runny and I used the English muffins and delicious garlic home fries to soak it all up! I'm most pleasantly surprised that we can order from the brunch menu at dinner. I didn't try the AAA steak but I was told that this was absolutely delicious and he wished it was a bigger portion. The rice underneath is a pilaf :) Service was standard. I mean, I don't come here for the service anyway. It's a slightly upscale atmosphere here, no sweatpants please!

Lobster tasted great and bun was good. Really liked this dish. Then we tried the scallop risotto which I have to say is super rich so need to share this dish. The risotto was good and I liked the flavours but scallop was chewy and overcooked. The biscoff pancake came with three pancakes, plenty of biscoff cream, side of berries and a mountain of whipped cream. It was pretty good, too sweet for my liking but worth a try. We also ordered the GK Burger which came with fries. The burger has a nice Smokey flavour and was very tasty but was too pink in the centre for my liking. Ask for well done if you prefer it that way. Fries were crispy and good. For dessert we got the baked Alaska which is enough for two to share I think. It's a nice balance of sweet and tart. Drinks were tasty as well. Iced latte, matcha coconut, sparkling lemonade, and sangria all were great. Also get the scones if you like scones because theirs are a solid 5/5! We felt prices were reasonable for the quality you get. Great brunch vibes and a solid places to gather with friends. Will be back to try more on the menu!!

This restaurant was recommended to us from Naomi at Strewn Winery…read more We asked if there was a dress code as we were underdressed due to the fact we had just spent the day packing for our camping trip and driving to Canada. She assured us not to worry as the owners are very kind and it was a place you could dress up but accept casual wear as well. So off we went. Pulling in we saw it was a restaurant attached to the Orchid Hotel. And old but beautiful looking home converted to a hotel/restaurant. Once inside I saw white linen table cloths with nice stem ware and crisp white napkins and silverware. I looked at my sister and said I think we are underdressed lol. It was a Thursday around 5 pm, no reservation but it wasn't super busy yet so we were immediately seated. The host was kind, and put two tables together for our party of 5. The menu was simple which I liked. We ordered appetizers to start, the spring rolls and the crab cakes. I apologize for not taking pictures, I was tired and forgot so I'll just say they were delicious. Sidenote: I don't like seafood but one taste of the crab cake and I could have eaten both cakes myself! So very good! For the main course I ordered the Thai chicken coconut curry which had a side of rice. My hubby ordered the salmon with rice and vegetables. From the first bite we both let out yummy noises. We each took a bite of each other's food and I can say the salmon was absolutely delicious as was my curry dish. The portion sizes were great. We were both so full. My brother in law got the lamb-it looked like it was cooked perfectly and he said it was delicious. My sister got the fish and chips-it came with a couple different sauces but all she wanted was tartar sauce and ketchup. She didn't ask if they had any because she didn't want to offend the chef lol. My niece got a beautiful big salad and enjoyed it but neither enjoyed their pics as much as us other 3 did lol. The host was engaging, he explained that it's a family run business for the last 37 yrs and the last 15 years he and his brother and mother have been running it alone. His mom runs the hotel and he and his brother run the restaurant. I recommend eating here if you're ever in the area.

I fully expect this concept to appear at more noodles places across the GTA in the coming year. I've seen some reviews on here complaining about the portion sizes. I would tend to disagree. I can usually eat a lot, 2 foot longs at subway type. The sauce is so creamy and rich that a single portion was perfect to leave me stuffed but not heavy. I personally preferred the spicy seafood cream udon. More complex flavors and a good amount of seafood for a dollar more than the chicken curry. Both were really good though, and we will definitely be back. We also ordered a seared Buta as a side dish which was delicious; sweet and tangy with a beautiful charred flavor. Do be aware there's a 20-40 min line during peak hours! I wouldn't wait again, but I'm happy I waited this time.

The ambiance was nice, typical for a modern japanese/korean restaurant. It took ages for the food to come out, and when it did it was just okay. The fried shrimp dumplings were plain and felt frozen. The curry udon was also meh, didn't have the most flavourful sauce and the chicken that came with it was juicy but tiny. In sum, I would likely not come back again, there are many other places in the city serving similar food that is better in terms of flavour and value.
