I got the pear ginger cocktail which was refreshing and pretty good size - lasted throughout our meal. We got 4 appetizers for two of us to share: sushi tacos, fried chicken, lobster shumai and beef bao. Sushi tacos were my favorite for sure. I love ahi tuna and the texture and spice were perfection. The flavor of the KFC Fried chicken was really tasty as well. We got a little messy and had to wash our hands several times, but overall great experience. Service was excellent. Ambiance was nice. We'll definitely be back to try more things.

It's not often that we find East Asian food in this area, so we had high hopes considering the reviews. Although our food tasted and looked great, the prices seemed a bit too high for the portion size and ingredients. I could see these prices at a fine dining establishment, but the ambiance felt more of a typical local bar/restaurant than fine dining. Perhaps we're too used to the plethora of East Asian food options in the GTA. I will say that the use of Cumbrae's meat stood out in the poutine (super tender!), as well as the rich broth in the shumai.

There are different locations throughout the GTA, serving the exact same menu and concept. Service is fast and efficient. You order on your phone by scanning the QR code on the table. Food comes out within ~5 minutes - very fast! The menu is quite extensive. They have a wide variety of teppanyaki rice sets available, as well as noodles, mini hot pot (including individual servings), and various drinks and Asian desserts. I love that you can customize each dish by adding the add-ons (additional ingredients). You can even "build your own teppanyaki set" by choosing the carbs, sauce, protein(s), and add-ons (including vegetables). We only tried the teppanyaki rice sets this time around. The Sizzling Japanese-Style Assorted Vegetables consisted of cabbage, green pepper, zucchini, mushrooms, and corn. This was listed under "snacks" category, and we thought it would be a good veggie dish accompaniment to the other main dishes. I found it to be very salty and saucy. It had an aftertaste that I didn't really like. The pieces of green pepper, zucchini, and mushrooms were very small, that you could barely taste them. It was mostly white cabbage shreds and corn. The 3 teppanyaki rice sets (including one deluxe set) were good. The Jumbo Unagi Teppanyaki Rice was one of my favourites - the unagi there was "jumbo" indeed (biggest and longest I had ever seen that was served with a rice set in a restaurant). I liked that it wasn't doused with too much unagi sauce wich tends to be sweet and sticky. There was a good amount of meat in the unagi as well. Salmon & Shrimps Teppanyaki Rice Set and Seafood Rice Set (salmon, scallops, shrimps) were also decent. The Seafood Rice Set (considered a deluxe menu item) had a bigger and better salmon compared to the thin salmon slices in the Salmon & Shrimps Teppanyaki Rice Set. The shrimps and scallops were pretty good (there were more shrimps than scallops). All dishes came with corn and green onion, and you can choose to add extra add-ons such as cabbage, green pepper, zucchini, mushrooms, garlic bits, extra protein, etc. As garlic lovers, we added extra garlic bits to every teppanyaki set that we ordered. Overall, good food and fast service. I wish the Sizzling Japanese-Style Assorted Vegetables dish wasn't so salty, and came with more / bigger pieces of the actual vegetables rather than just mostly corn. But the other teppanyaki rice sets were good value.

First, service was excellent and we were seated quickly; the service staff was pleasant. We ordered the lunch specials - Singapore Noodle, Pad Thai Noodle and Chili chicken which came with 2 spring rolls. Presentation of food was good. Unfortunately, after one bite of each dish we quickly knew that the food was not up to the authentic standards we were expecting and accustomed to having eaten a lot of Asian food in the Toronto-Mississauga region. The Singapore noodle was extremely spicy, overpowering and salty (and we are used to spice). The Pad Thai was also extremely salty and coated with a thick sweet/sour sauce. The Chili Chicken had about 6 small slices of chicken on the plate, and the rest were peppers and onions. The waiter kindly offered complimentary mango ice cream to counterbalance the heat from the Singapore noodle. We didn't have the heart to tell the waiter the food was probably one of the worst we've had. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.
