    Beef with egg on rice
    Hazel P.

Food 5/5 Service 5/5 Ambiance 4/5 Food We came here to meet friends for a holiday lunch. We love this place & have been here many times. I ordered the beef vermicelli with spring roll, hubby ordered chicken we shared a plate of spring rolls, our friends ordered the Beef with egg on rice & stir fried crispy egg noodle with seafood. Our friends really enjoyed their dishes but couldn't finish them. So they wrapped it up to take home. I also couldn't finish my beef vermicelli but it was so yummy I also took it home. Hubby enjoyed his food too. Service They are friendly here. Servers were youngsters this time. Teenagers & 20somethings. I'm not 100% sure but I think this is a family business. It's a pretty casual restaurant but they have always been great with us. Most of the people who eat here are vietnamese so I feel that the food is authentic. The food comes to our table pretty quickly after we order & everything tastes so good. This is one of our favourite restaurants. Ambiance The decor is yellow with wooden upholstered chairs & booths. It's a no frills place but I don't mind. The food is good! The prices are great as well considering the proportions of the dishes. The washrooms are always clean. This restaurant is in a plaza so there is plenty of free parking. We will continue to come back here to eat. Love this place.

Food is a decent value for the area, but noodles were clumped at the bottom of the bowl into a ball and came with cilantro even with a "no cilantro" request. Sent the first bowl back and the second still came back with cilantro (but less). Had to pick out the pieces due to sensitivity to the herb and ended up with a napkin full of them. I didn't bother to send it back a second time. Probably wouldn't visit again. Food: Mid Service (front of house): Acceptable Atmosphere: Casual with average level of noise

This is one of the better phos in the gta. Our go to order is the large pho tai nam and a chicken and grilled pork rice with a steamed egg. I think if you get the large pho here, you will leave full and happy. If you come as a pair, then this meal pairing with the pho plus rice dish is great. Something a bit wet and something more dry. Decor and washrooms can use some updating but I didn't count these in this review.

I came in during lunch hour to get a warm bowl of pho on a cold winter day. Pho Non La is located tucked inside a plaza by the intersection of Steeles Ave W and Dufferin St with a reasonable amount of parking and close to public transit. Pho: The pho broth was hot and tasted delicious. It was really nice on a cold winter day and was exactly what I was looking for. The rare beef portions were quite generous given the reasonable price. The food came out quickly, which I appreciate, especially during lunch hour. The only downside is that they only take cash or debit, but besides that, the pho here is delicious. Overall, I would recommend this spot - tasty pho at an affordable price.

Came back after a long break just because of the location and where we usually are. The spring rolls are so delicious! Probably one of the best Vietnamese spring rolls I've had in Toronto!

An unassuming restaurant tucked in a strip mall that can be easily missed. We were heading for our usual Indian restaurant when we noticed this in the corner. So glad we stopped to try this! Friendly service and many repeat customers by the long chats the staff would get into with some patrons. Food was great with major portions no matter what we ordered. The chicken wings were so hot they almost burned my lips but the flavor was worth it. Great noodles with plenty of ingredients. Will be back!

This place is quite cozy and very open. It has booths and individual tables with chairs available. This place can get a bit busy even when they're closing in an hour. The waitresses are so kind here. Greeted with a smile and would laugh at my dad's jokes. Absolutely a plus. They are very accommodating to ensure you have enough condiments and toppings such as beansprouts, mint leaves and lime. The fresh rolls were rolled well and toppings didn't fall out when I bit into them. The crispy spring rolls were the right crisp, cooked so well. The pho came with a lot of meat compared to other pho restaurants. The broth was flavourful and I actually had some. I typically leave it out and only eat noodles and meat. I would surely come here again. It's the best pho in the area that's well priced.

I'm a repeat visitor to Pho Non La. They do all the varieties of pho, bun bowls and rice dishes reliably well. They also have side sliced garlic, which enhances your pho. On the most recent visit, I had their unique pho special with chicken broth. It comes with BBQ pork, fish balls, quail egg and green onions. A surprise was that it also comes with a side of crispy shrimp chip with literally the shrimp fried in it! Bean sprouts, green onions and cilantro come already in the bowl, so if you don't prefer it, let them know beforehand. Hearty generous size too. Service is always consistent and ambiance is bright with yellow walls and clean, not run down like some other pho joints. Highly recommend this underrated pho place.

Lovely new Viet restaurant! The restaurant vibe is quite lively and very clean! Staff are all polite and speak Vietnamese and English. The prices were a bit higher than expected, but their portions are very large! So I think it sort of evens out. We got the pho dac biet (house pho) and grilled chicken broken rice set. The pho broth was pretty nice. I would consider it more on the savory side of broth vs. sweet. It's got a really nice umami without being salty! The beef slices inside were huge sheets! Very generous but also I sort of wish they were cut smaller so it's easier to eat in mouthfuls haha taste is perfect though. The rare beef (which lots of restaurants have sort of chewy rare beef, which I try to avoid) is actually really nice quality! The grilled chicken was perfection--so tender! And super generous on the chicken portion too! Can't go wrong with a classic chicken and rice dish. Overall, really great Viet restaurant! Tasty food, big portions, fair price point, and quite spacious. Would recommend, and I'll be coming back again!

I want here because it had great reviews, and I can honestly say that it was not disappointing. The food was a large portions and it was one of the better pho places in the toronto/GTA area. It was a bit pricier than expected but so is all food nowadays. So expect to spend $18/dish. It was a very popular spot, and I had a really crowded enjoyable atmosphere balance with comfortable seating and lots of tables available. It is definitely a spot that is a quick eat in your local community and is designed for quick turnover. So the only downside is if you're looking for somewhere to sit and have a very long extended meal this is not the place for you. The service was fast, and there's a variety of English-speaking staff as well so that's not a barrier to service.

Good portions. Simple service. Good flavours. A few vegetarian options. Food comes quickly as well. Pro tip: share dishes because you will not finish your own.

Real Vietnamese food! My mom wanted to try a specific dish here and we came as a family. There were lots of other families here on a Sunday evening, and still lots of tables/chairs and space. I loved the decor, traditional Vietnamese nón lá (straw hats) were hung from the ceiling. There were also skylights which brought natural light to the restaurant. Servers spoke Viet and my parents and uncle and aunt talked to them. We ordered two specials and some traditional dishes. I ordered Bún bò huế and it was good, my cousin ordered pho dac biet and the other 2 cousins ordered vermicelli dishes. They said it was textbook, and because our moms make them often wished they ordered something they don't usually make. Glad this place opened as it's somewhat near my house. I'm on the hunt for a staple Viet place in the city.

Generous portions, delicious flavours. Legit taro chunks in the fried spring roll! Ordered the fresh rolls (shrimp) and the vermicelli with fried spring roll and grilled beef: Will def come back again! Friendly service too. My fav vietnamese restaurant rn

They also have pho, rice, and vermicelli dishes as well. Washrooms are located downstairs which are not accessible. They only accept cash (with a 10% cash discount) or debit. I previously have had Anh Dao for take out before - their pork sausages (nem nuong) are delicious and perfect when you wrap them with vermicelli and fresh herbs. Even when I got take out, the restaurant gives you plenty of fresh ingredients to create your own fresh rolls. I recently went to Anh Dao for lunch to dine in at the restaurant on a Friday around 12:30pm. The place was pretty quiet as it seemed like I was their first customer that day. During my time there, there was another party of 2 that also came in to eat lunch. I opted for the house special soup pho ($19.95). Service was friendly and my food came at a reasonable time after I ordered. The house special pho included slice rare beef, beef brisket, beef balls, and tripe. The soup was slightly sweet with a nuttier flavour. The noodles were unfortunately not the fresh kind but there were ample beef ingredients in the bowl of pho for the price you are paying. I love how in addition to siracha and hoisin sauce, there is also ground up chili sauce as well as a pickled sliced garlic and jalapeno pepper mixture at the table. Moreover, you get bean spouts, a red chili pepper, fresh herbs, and lime that you can add to your pho broth. Overall, a tasty bowl of pho where the quality of the beef was good. Anh Dao is a tasty option for Vietnamese food in the College and Spadina area. Definitely do try their meat platters as they are quite delicious!

I tried to finish the broth because it was so good. I would have given that first bowl 4 stars! Today was terrible! It just felt like a super water-downed broth that I didn't want to drink. Everything was just boiled and dumped in a water-downed soup base. The least they can do is use broth and dump it in the seafood tomato based soup. This was a 9pm dinner. They had their own family visiting to close up shop at 11. I tried asking them what happened to the broth today but they didn't speak English or just decided not to. It was disappointing for a bowl of $21 + tax noodle that was just pretty bland tonight even though it looked the part.... The soup was pretty tasty with a natural sweetness, 2 springy half fishballs & a large, very fresh shrimp. The sauce was basically oyster sauce but pickled garlic, red vinegar, hoi sin & chili sauce were available to add complexity. The noodles weren't wet but were not dry either. Large was a very big bowl it came with minced pork, thin sliced pork beansprouts & greens. The pickled garlic was good. Also got a shrimp fritter on the side for $2.50.
