They have some pretty decent pho, really good spring rolls and some fall off the bone ribs. While I wouldn't say it's the best pho in NY, the broth is quite clear and clean tasting. I don't think there is anything better than a pho noodle soup to make you feel at home. If the soup is done right it really puts you in a good place. I think the most telling for the soup is if it makes you drink a full glass of water. If it does, then the broth is not well balanced. Another classic place to enjoy pho. Delivery Review We have been to this place several times to dine in; always delicious food in a comfortable setting with friendly staff Delivery just isn't as good but sometimes it's tied in the fourth quarter and you don't want to get off the couch. I appreciate the great care and thought that was taken in preparing for delivery. The soup is packaged separately from the noodles in plastic quart containers so that the noodles are soggy by the time it arrives. They are individually bagged as to protect the other food if it spills. The fresh veggies are also individually packaged to retain a freshness and a crispness to the bean sprouts; the bag also has a lovely aroma when you open it up. The meat is left rare so that it finishes cooking as you add the broth. Even with such effort in packaging, the flavors are still not the same as when you get it straight from the kitchen in a giant bowl. Flavor is loss in the transport. It's subtle, but it's there. Keeping all that in mind, if there's a craving and you aren't ready to get out of your PJs, this will suffice. The summer rolls are boxed up in a waxed paper box. Just as delicious as when dining it. Warning - the peanut sauce had hot sauce mixed in it; not sure why they did it but if you're not a fan of spicy, you may want to include instructs to leave it out. read more

I came here the other night with my bf and we had a wonderful experience! The interior is bright and open, with ample seating. The menu had many different options that I'm not used to seeing at other restaurants so I was excited to try something new. We started off with some shrimp and pork spring rolls. They were fresh, and soft, with the right amount of filling. The peanut sauce was the perfect consistency for topping but it heavy on the hoisin flavor, which I didn't mind. For the main course, we ordered bun bo hue which was a welcomed change from my usual beef pho. The noodles were soft and bouncy, which offered a nice bite. There was a generous portion of beef and pork that was very tender. I really enjoyed the spicy and savory flavor of the broth. I could've used a bit more heat but we were offered both chili oil and chili sauce to add to the broth. The bo kho was good also and reminded me a lot of my mother's braised beef brisket. It was tasty and gave me a feeling of home. We also ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee which was our favorite one yet! It was strong and rich in flavor, yet not too bitter and not too sweet. Banana pudding was interesting - a lot more tense than typical bread puddings. I thought it was a good pairing with the gelato, though I would've preferred a bit softer. I also have to point out the exceptional service we received that night. Our server, Darwin was extremely welcoming and attentive. He stopped by our table often to check in on us and give us water and napkins. We really appreciated the extra care that was given during our meal. The only negative I have to say is that they close pretty early, 8/8:30 everyday and then closed twice a week. This is our go-to place for Vietnamese food in Queens and absolutely the best! We have been coming here for several years and wish we had discovered it sooner. They have great food, best service (especially Darwin ) and is clean, roomy and plenty of parking. Our usual dishes include the spring roll, signature Pho, grill pork banhmi and the pork chop over rice. Their ribs appetizer and papaya salad are also great. Most pho soup base in other places are either too bland or too much MSG. However, I find Metro's pho soup base to be perfect. It's flavorful yet not overly artificially flavored. The service is also always impeccable! Darwin is always so considered and takes great care of us. They are always very clean as well. I felt safe even during the pandemic eating there. This was my first time at Pho Metro. To start we received a warm welcome from the gentleman (Darwin) at the front. He smiled, and greeted us. Clearly my friend had been here before and he recognized her immediately. He took our temperature and we were seated right away. We both ordered the #20 Bun Dac Biet , Rice vermicelli salad with grilled shrimp, spring roll and Barbeque pork. The decor is simple yet inviting. The seating is comfortable and tables are able to accommodate 2-6 people depending on your size. The staff here is so nice. We were given time to review the menu and then assisted in making our choices. We were offered appetizers, and chilled water. Our food came out fairly quick. The presentation was really nice. The portions was just right. The vermicelli was cooked just right, nice plump grilled shrimp and the bbq pork spring rolls were nice with a crispy crunch and flavorful filling. The former Pathmark shopping center off the Whitestone Expressway was not where I expected to find the best Vietnamese eatery in Queens. A Viet buddy of mine raves about this place so on good authority, I had to give it a try. He was right. The menu has pho, rice dishes and vermicelli bowls as well as your standard appetizers. The pho ga was really good - clean chicken broth and noodles cooked to perfection. The grilled pork vermicelli was also so good - grilled with just the right amount of smoky flavor and the fish sauce was the perfect foil. Prices are really good and service fast and friendly. The restaurant is also really clean and has a nice modern look to boot. It's far more impressive on the inside than from the outside. They've reopened for takeout! Always my go-to Viet joint in Flushing. I am addicted to their summer rolls (especially that peanut sauce), and Viet iced coffee. I also judge a Viet place by their grilled pork and pho soup base. Pho Metro gets those 2 items down pat. Only one other restaurant rivals Pho Metro (and the other one is located in Brooklyn). Located in the old Pathmark shopping center (I think its a Stop and Shop now) is Pho Metro. Its an unassuming small no frills Vietnamese restaurant run by some young looking people. The brothy pho really hits the spot, although it has noticeably less meat than Pho Bang. The Beef Stew was hearty and the spring rolls were fresh. We had mistakenly ordered the springs rolls thinking they were fried. The waiter took it off the bill, even though it was really our fault. The only downside was that the hot tea tasted a bit off. I came here last night with 2 of my friends. We were greeted and seated right away. I LOVE that this restaurant has a huge parking lot, no fighting to get a spot here. My friend was running late so we order the prawn spring roll in rice wrapper that came with a delicious peanut sauce to start, I really liked this. Then my friend came and she wanted the veggie spring roll so we ordered that, it was good but I preferred the prawn one. For the main course I ordered the chicken pho. This chicken pho was pretty good, the broth which in many places is salty is not so salty here. Also the chicken and vegetables were very good here. I enjoyed it a lot. For dessert we tried both the banh flan and the banana bread pudding with pistachio ice cream. Both were very good but I favored the banana pudding dessert. I will be back! read more

I have been here about 5 times. Recently, I have been coming here every Friday soon as it opens with my coworker. Darwin as been our server the last two times and he has been nothing but exceptional. He even let us in 5-10 minutes before opening which we appreciated because we had to get back to work on time. This past Friday, we tried the 3 specials which was the wings, Bahn xeo (crepe), and goi ga (chicken salad). I've had their wings a year ago and I do think they tasted much better back then. It's mainly a fish sauce flavor so id say it's an acquired taste. The bahn xeo on its own without the lettuce and fish sauce dip is quite bland. I did feel that there was way more bean sprouts than mushrooms. I wouldn't get this again. Goi ga was great. Perfect amount of acidity and felt that this dish complimented the rest. You're supposed to take of piece of the cracker and place the salad on top. I love how they played with the textures in this dish. Would recommend! As for their pho, it is good. Been here once before. It's in a small strip mall and has a parking lot which is a big plus! We were greeted and seated quickly. When we first arrived there was only one other table but within 30 minutes the restaurant was packed! We order the pho and a order of the summer rolls. Unlike other Vietnamese restaurants they grill their shrimp which I liked a lot! The wait staff were all very attentive and asked questions so that we knew and were okay with the ingredients, that's something I rarely experience (huge plus). Honestly I am going to divert my review to Eric Y's excellent one (Also ROTD for 2/18/2019) since he describes in fantastic detail of what goes into making a great bowl of Pho and why so many other places in NYC get it wrong. Here is a bit from my experience: I came in early after work needing a good bowl of soup to help me fight a sinus infection that was screwing up my week. The Pho Dac Biet was the exact prescription I required. When my soup was served I could have done without the server asking me if I needed a fork which I found slightly insulting (I'm not even sure how I would approach Pho with a fork?) Although in my altered state I couldn't pick up on the exact subtleties of the beef and herbs, I could certainly feel the effects of this well made soup. The broth was silky with tiny beads a fat floating on the surface making for the perfect consistency to soothe my irritated throat and help improve my breathing. The noodles were perfect and all the ingredients very fresh. I enjoyed the Goi Chon Tom (Grilled Jumbo Shrimp Rolls in rice paper) and the peanut sauce that was served was not overly sweet as I find elsewhere and had a fantastic consistency almost like a pudding making it thick and clingy to the roll. Cafe (Coffee with Condensed Milk) over ice had a nice caramel flavor that went perfectly with the food. I look forward to coming back when I can fully enjoy all the food served here. I found the service overall very good and friendly. They have a parking lot, but as most places when it comes to cars and Flushing it is a crapfest - tight spots and confused traffic. read more

This place is really great. It's kinda tucked away within a small strip mall near the Whitestone Expressway, so parking can be a little tough during busier times. But there's a pretty big parking lot across the street too. We got here about an hour before closing, so unfortunately they ran out of beef broth. My wife got the chicken pho and she really enjoyed it. I got the beef stew. I think I could've gone for just a little more liquid (the stew is not thick but just not soupy enough with the noodles). However the taste and quantity was very good. The brisket was really tender and the stew itself had great flavor. We started off with their garlic chicken wing appetizer and that also was terrific. Nice crunch, good quality chicken. We asked for spicy and it wasn't very spicy at all but could still taste a little pepper. Again, the flavor wins out. Lastly our server was super nice, confirmed our orders, checked on us a few times to make sure everything was good. The decor is very clean; about 15 tables or so. They check vaccination status . As for prices, not the cheapest you'll find, but I'd say it's worth it. Definitely want this place to do well, as they do so many things exceptionally well. read more

He recommended a lot of things including the ice cream at the end which was absolutely delicious. We got their wings, pho and pork chops over rice. Everything was spectacular. They o lay give you half the amount of everything and the store hours on yelp need to be updated they close @9pm don't go close to closing they will turn you away and say take out only when they just seated people. I find that there aren't too many places that serve a decent bowl of pho in Flushing. The broth would either taste too bland, be missing some key components/spices, or be too rich and oily. Thankfully, the broth here is just right. It is a bit more pricier than the other places I've been to, but I'm glad I found this place as their bowl of pho can warm you up during the cold winter months. This restaurant is located right next to Stop & Shop and has a small parking lot right up front. If there's no room there, the big parking lot is also accessible nearby. I ordered the Pho Dac Biet which consists of a variety of meat such as brisket, rare beef, tendon, and meatballs. As soon as your pho comes out, add some jalapeno peppers, spritz the lime, and add the herbs. Then, dump the bean sprouts and meat underneath the noodles and take a sip of the broth. One of my favorite things to do is to also mix the hoisin sauce and sriracha sauce and mix it in. You honestly can't go wrong with this combination. While the broth is good, the noodles on the other hand can be a hit or miss as they can sometimes be overdone. I also had the crispy spring rolls which was seasoned very well. It was nice and crunchy with every bite that I took. I usually wrap the spring rolls with the lettuce they provide and then dip it into the fish sauce before eating it.
