I can't believe I never wrote a review for Pho Che after dining here multiple times over the years. I have been a huge fan of their pho broth and their grilled pork chops. They are both always seasoned very well and make a delicious meal. However, the price seems to have increased tremendously for the side of pork chop (almost doubled since they first opened). We opted to try their spicy pho and BBQ pork banh mi on a Saturday. The entire restaurant was packed with plenty of diners waiting for a table. Our food came out quickly and we were able to share our pho with an extra bowl. The spicy broth was indeed spicy and pretty flavorful. There was plenty of meat and aromatics to accompany the dish. I really enjoyed the dish but towards the end, it was just a bit too spicy. The large bowl also had plenty of noodles for two people. The bbq pork banh mi was not as great as other shops that specialize in freshly made banh mi. The pork was seasoned well but the sandwich felt a bit bare and lacking. The broth of the pho was very delicious which made it become one of my favorite pho spots!! We got the bigger bowl which was very filling since there was so much broth. While I did like the bahn mi I do wish it had a bit more meat in it as I mostly tasted bread. The service was great! We got attended immediately and they were attentive at filling our waters. One of the best phos in town. Came here because I had a craving. I was seated right away. I ordered the shrimp rolls and a small chicken pho. The small is really a medium bowl and it was delicious. Came in on New Year's Day with a party of 7 (including 2 babies) at around 1 PM. Thankfully, my friend was able to make a reservation because the place is very small. I do appreciate that they were able to hold the table for us, even though we were running 15 minutes late. However, this wasn't the best Vietnamese food. It was more like a fusion spot. The best thing we ordered were the garlic fries. Yes, you heard right - garlic fries at a Vietnamese restaurant. But who am I to complain - they were the battered kind and came out perfectly crispy and garlicky. For my main, I had the vermicelli bowl with spring rolls. The spring rolls are the lazy spring rolls where they don't use rice paper, but just use spring roll paper. Instead of a bowl, the noodles are served in a cold chunk. And instead of a bed of crisp lettuce/cucumber, it's a side salad with a mystery mayo-based dressing. Hubby had the beef with rice dish, which came with the same side salad, and instead of grilled beef, it was more like a bulgogi. Hands down, my favorite pho place in the world! Pho Che is Korean-owned, and, boy, do they know how to make a good bowl of soup! We came here to grab a later lunch and ordered the Spicy (aka, S1), which usually comes with rare steak, brisket, tendon and shrimp - we opted out of the tendon, and had shrimp served on the side. The broth was so flavorful, and this place does not joke around when it comes to spiciness - this was something I was looking for for a while - one of those 'hit-the-back-of-your-throat' heat, but still flavorful. This was the first time I've ever seen a spicy pho on a pho restaurant menu and had to give it a try. I enjoy spicy food but the spice level was a little too much for me. I could feel my insides burning the entire meal but it was still tasty. Generous portions of meat and the couple pieces of shrimp it came with were so flavorful. Food delivery and more, one after the other. We ordered two large phos, a Thai iced tea, and the provenzal fries. The Thai iced tea, while $6, is basically a large. This gem has been my GO-TOO spot for YEARS. I absolutely love this place. SJ is the best server, he's super friendly, he's quick and just a great person! Thank you for always making the experience better SJ. The food is always a 10/10. Pho broth is always flavorful, establishment is always clean and tables are usually always readily available. The ambiance is a cute little pop & mom location, but it just feels like home in there. The spring rolls and gyozas are always fresh, tasty and hot. I used to come here often, but lately, I feel like the service and quality have been declining. Even if things don't improve, I believe they should at least be consistent--but unfortunately, that hasn't been the case. For example, I was given cilantro even though I had clearly indicated I didn't want it. Instead of asking if I wanted it, they should have just left it out. After I complained, they brought the dish back, but I couldn't tell if they just picked it off or actually remade it--the strong cilantro flavor was still there. Also, the beef fried rice was extremely salty, so I ended up only eating the side salad. What upset me even more was that not a single staff member asked why I wasn't eating my food or if I wanted to pack it to go. Vietnamese food with somewhat of a Korean twist. While their menu isn't as stacked as a normal Vietnamese restaurant they do have a Vietnamese sandwiches, Pho and Vermicelli bowls. We had the Large House special combo and the Small Brisket and Tendon pho. Along with the Shrimp summer rolls. The restaurant is always somewhat packed and once you walk in you get that broth smell and mannn does it smell good! There are a few differences with regular Vietnamese spots, you don't get cilantro, basil or mint with your sprouts and lime but you do get jalapeño peppers and raw onions upon request. Pho Che is a casual Vietnamese restaurant located on Northern Blvd. Parking is limited in front of the store, so you may need to look on the side streets or pay at the meter. The three dishes I often order are French Fries Provenzal, House Special Combo Pho Noodle Soup, and Spring Rolls. The fries are absolutely divine with all the garlic they put. The spring rolls are on the smaller side and expensive for 4 pieces, but it gets the job done. The spring rolls come with fish sauce on the side. I haven't tried the Summer Rolls yet, but it is on my list. Last but not least is the House Special Combo Pho. This dish comes with rice noodles, brisket, tendon, and meatballs. It is garnished with onion, scallion, and cilantro and comes with a side of beansprouts, basil (requested), and lime. Sometimes, they give you lemon, which isn't the same as a lime. The flavor of the pho is consistent each time and can warm you up on a cold winter day. As for services, the staff here are pretty friendly, and the service is decent. Sometimes, they do forget about you, so make sure to flag them down. When it was very busy, I was able to put my order in before being seated. This made the food come out pretty quickly. I frequently come here with my friends and family, and although it is run by Koreans, I would say that the dishes I tried are pretty delicious. I came by with my fiance recently & was pretty disappointed by the pho. The broth is not as beefy or flavorful as it used to be, and the topping portions are stingy. I ordered the brisket & tendon, and the tendon here had a strange taste to it. Service is not great - it's almost impossible to flag anyone down. I get that they're busy, but there was really no service whatsoever - we didn't even get water until halfway through our meal! Brought my daughter to have pho for the first time this would be my second time. I really wanted the shrimp summer roll which is what really made me want to come here. We ordered it and it came with a delicious peanut sauce this was a really good appetizer I would come back just for this. It was fresh made well we both enjoyed it! While looking at the menu I also wanted to try the vegetable dumplings. They were fried very hard and did not taste good to me at all, my daughter didn't mind them but I sat pass. For drinks my daughter ordered a coconut milk with brown sugar boba and I got a peach soju which I did enjoy. For our main my daughter got the chicken pho with beef broth and I got the shrimp with vegetable broth for myself. They gave us a plate of bean sprouts and cut up Jalapeños to add to our soup. Pho is average. Its not the best but not the worst I have taken. Its a Viet restaurant owned and operated by Korean so everything has a slight Korean feel to it. If you are looking for just pho I would not go but it you are looking for pho and say their fries then this is for you. Gotten take out here a couple of times too cause of just there fries. We ordered the beef pho (all the trimmings), 2 banh mi sandwiches (beef & pork), and a taro bubble tea to share. My sister recommended this place for our lunch because she loves the food here compared to other Vietnamese eateries she has tried locally. My top dishes for take out is banh mi sandwich and their garlic parlays fries. Sooo good. Their pho is also good but recommend to eat in. The noodle bowl is good but also different than what I'm used to. The salad is on the side with light mayo dressing. It's a dish you would try once and it's good but not my fave.
