    Bun Bo Hue
    Mike O.

I was very pleased with my visit. We were greeted enthusiastically and kindly by the staff, who promptly came to our table to offer us water and place settings. I was very pleased to see they have bun Bo hue here, the spicy beef noodle soup I've seen many foodies claim is the best item on many pho restaurant's menus, as opposed to the other Vietnamese restaurants my family tends to frequent. It's very relaxing with the music at a nice volume, and the lighting well set to be bright enough to see clearly without being too piercing. It was also cooled well, without being freezing, a nice transition from the hot daytime weather we've been having lately. As for the food, I can see why so many people rave about this dish! I'd be pleased with a good bowl of pho as it is, but bun bo hue is fantastic. I don't have any basis for comparison with other places or authentic spicy beef, but I will definitely be looking for this from now on, or just coming back here more often! Haven't been by since before my dad passed a few years ago, but this was his favorite pho restaurant. I can see why now, and at least for the moment, it's become my favorite now, too.

The food is delicious and very authentic. The service is fast and polite and I like the ambiance with pictures of the items they serve along with the nice Asian music. Prices are reasonable especially for the quality. There is a 3% added fee for use of a credit card. We will be back again and again.

Good service. We came on a Sunday for lunch. Not that many people so we were able to sit right away. They have booths that are walled from other tables from behind. Inside is small however. I think from what I remember there are 6 tables in the side sitting 4 each and a long table in the middle of the restaurant. Food is good. Can't complain. I will make note that there is not a special reason why I'd want to come back here unless I am in the area and craving pho.

Craving satisfied! Before my hubby and I even started dating, we'd get pho with our friends alll the time! Lots of pho places came and went but Pho Five-O has stuck! This place is located at the Waimalu Shopping Center. Hubby and I have not had pho in a LOOONG time! We usually get cold vermicelli bowls because takeout pho is just not the same experience as dining in. We decided to just go and satisfy our craving and Pho Five-O is fairly close to our house. My usual order is beef ball with steak and my hubby is only gets beef ball. There are no options for sizes here, only LARGE and I must say, they give ALOT! It was enough for my hubby but, my daughter and I shared a bowl and still couldn't finish it. At ~$16 per bowl, that's a good deal in my opinion. The waitress made sure to check in on us and gave my daughter a bowl and fork which was nice of her. She was the only waitress and was also doing everything else like cashing people out, doing takeout orders, and answering the phone. It seemed she had lots of regular customers and was asking how they were doing and wishing everyone a happy new year. Overall, I'm so glad I was able to satisfy our pho craving at a Mom & Pop shop. We were so excited and hungry, I barely got any pictures. We'll definitely be back!

First timer here. Great customer service and the food is good, too. I ended up getting the lemon chicken bahn mi. Highly recommend if you don't know what to order. The place is quite small so not ideal for a big party. They are quick with getting your order out to you in a timely manner.

This whole Hawaii trip definitely had a lot of "let's check this place out as soon as they open!" and my last meal for this trip was no exception. I got here a little after 9:00 AM Hawaii Time, but I was meeting with people there at 9:30. I walked around the plaza to get some morning steps in and to build up that morning appetite. Passing Pho Five-O, I honestly wasn't certain if they were open or not. I mean, it's a given that there will likely be no customers, or at least not visible at that hour. They also have the tables divided up with walls (if you aren't a people person, these are great!). I think they have a subtle tint with the whole front glass, so it's a bit tough to tell if they are open. Don't be shy. Grab that door handle, give it a gentle pull, and walk into what will likely be your favorite place for the next 45 minutes or so. There was only one person working at the front of the house. Not sure what the kitchen situation is, but our food came out pretty fast. Before our food came out, 2 other sets of customers came in, so this place seems pretty popular. One guy actually came in, and just sat right down. The person working called out what they normally order, and the guy only says "Extra Jalapeños!" And just chills back on his phone while seated. Def a regular! Lol Anyhoo!! The only thing I personally tried on their Pho. The broth is pretty good. It's nice and light, but not like flavorless lite. My plate was the rice dish with BBQ Pork and some Shredded Pork. Poured the fish sauce right over the shredded pork and bbq pork. There isn't too too much that I can say about this dish, as everything about it was pretty standard with a decent to good Viet restaurant. Rice was solid, shredded pork was good, and bbq pork was excellent. I would definitely come back here again.

Haven't gone here in awhile. Ordered the Spicy Lemongrass Chicken plate. It was good but didn't satisfy my craving. It came with plain greens. Was pricey for the amount. Mediocre service.

Came for a quick late lunch. Ordered the lemon grass chicken bánh mi ($12) It was very flavorful. Savory and the pickled veggies were a perfect crunch. Service is great, came here at 4:15pm and not too busy. Ambiance is relaxing and restaurant is clean.

Owner was kind & food was delicious! My partner and I were walking around the shopping center and spontaneously decided to try out this place. The owner was instantly so kind, welcoming, and quick to take our order! I ordered the special plate and chose bbq beef and kalbi with it, and my partner ordered the vermicelli with bbq beef. Both dishes were delicious! The restaurant has a small dining area, but I enjoyed the atmosphere as it felt very homey. Would definitely visit again!

All the foods we ordered wasn't very flavorful either and they charged 3% for credit cards. His favorite food was rice noodles, and his wife would bring to him daily, but it would get cold. To keep it hot, she brought chicken soup in a fire-heated ceramic pot that she kept piping hot while added more noodles and other ingredients. Her ingenious way of keeping the food hot became known as "crossing the bridge noodle." Opened in Uptown Pearlridge near Ross Dressed for Less in Aug 2023, Ten Seconds to Yunnan Rice Noodle is known for its customizable Yunnan-style rice noodle soups stewed within a hot broth and 10 side dishes of meats, veggies, and toppings for a signature hot pot experience based on this legend. There are various choices of broths, e.g., pork bone, spicy sour, tomato and are served with fatty beef, pork belly, veggies, etc. They also offer: * Additional soup broths in the cauldron with rice noodles, e.g., hot sour, tomato, and Szechuan mala spicy. There are also ready-to-eat noodles soup served separately with chicken thighs, fish fillets, seafood, laksa, tofu, won tons, beef tripe, etc. * Hong Kong style dim sum, e.g., shrimp pork hash, shrimp dumplings/rolls, spareribs, chicken feet, turnip cake, sticky rice, spring roll, tripe, fish cake, xiao long bao. * Appetizers: beef tongue/shank, pig ear, chicken wings, calamari, fried buns/tofu. * Desserts: and their signature Japanese souffle pancake from their sister Cloud 9 Café HI, bubble waffle. * Drinks: milk teas, fruit teas, iced coffee. The restaurant is a China-based franchised chain with 750 locations in the US and 70+ locations in No. America. This restaurant is the 1st and only location in HI at Pearlridge. This restaurant initially caught my interest when it first opened; however, as it is not close to my home, I eventually forgot about it until just recently when I was in the area. So hubby and I had a quick lunch there. We had just wanted to try their most popular menu offering, the original pork bone soup rice with rice noodles and fatty beef. We were told that one order is sharable between two people. Perfect! Our server brings out a black cauldron of the piping hot pork bone soup. She then brings out a tray of 10 little round porcelain dishes of chives, pickled cabbage, quail egg, goji berries, wood ear fungus, white fungus, meat paste, ham, tofu puff, and corn. Slightly larger ceramic servers included cooked fatty beef, fresh lettuce, and cooked rice noodles made with 100% rice flour. We were instructed to add the beef and lettuce to the broth, then add the 10 ingredients s and stir well, and finally add the rice noodles and wait 10 seconds until ready to eat. We enjoyed it, and wondered whether this was a trendy novelty concept, in addition to being an authentic appreciation of Yunnan foods. We used the house chili oil, which gave the soup a good kick in heat! Our server, Janelle, was very friendly and patient, knowing that this was a first time for us. She explained the process, which made it easy to understand. We explained that since this was our first time, we wanted to try the signature soup and then trying others the next time we visit. Hours of operation are daily from 11a to 8p. The restaurant interior is clean, bright, and spacious. Ambiance is casual and welcoming with interior décor of Chinese lanterns. Free parking is available in the Pearlridge Shopping Center that is shared with other businesses of the shopping complex. There are daily discounts: Monday - military 10%; Tuesday - senior 10%; Wed, Thurs, Fri - early bird discount. There is a 3% credit card fee. What interesting concepts in the authentic flavors, fresh ingredients, and unique "crossing the bridge noodles!" We look forward in returning to try different menu offerings of various soup broths, appetizers, dim sum, and desserts! A great introduction to Chinese hotpots!

We also ordered the tofu salad, which was surprisingly large and super flavorful, with a sesame peanut dressing that I really enjoyed. Service was extremely quick, likely because the restaurant was pretty empty (which worked in our favor, especially during spring break). It did feel a bit rushed at times, but honestly, I didn't mind since I tend to prefer a quick in-and-out dining experience. Parking was also very convenient, with plenty of spaces available around the mall on multiple levels. Even though this location doesn't carry all of our favorites from Mililani, we'd still definitely come back. Solid food, fast service, and a great option when you're craving something warm and satisfying.

Wagyu local moco all Rice, no mac Minute chicken cake noodle Garlic fish, mini size one scoop rice, one scoop macsalad Everything tasty I wish I had ordered only rice; forgot that I'm not a fan of their Mac salad... I think the cake noodle was prepared the best that I've had because it was not oily but crispy on the outside tender noodle on the inside made fresh and the texture was better than others. I tried it dry before pouring over the gravy because we ordered it to go and they packed it nicely with the cake noodle and chicken separate container from the gravy. I wish I had a picture of the cake noodle. It was very nice.

Super disappointed with the crazy service tonight…read more I placed an order outside using the kiosk for just a chicken katsu special at 5:52 PM since it was crowded inside and ended up waiting 45 minutes for that one plate. It wasn't just the waiting, it was the service and lack of communication that pushed it over. After placing my order, I entered the restaurant and waited on the side since there wasn't a place to sit and wait. The worker who was stationed at the front soon came back and asked "How can I help you?" and I mentioned that I ordered on the kiosk outside and she walked away without saying anything. Around 10 minutes in I noticed the worker mentioning to every person in line only after they tried to order that the wait would be 30 minutes for anything on the grill since they had a big order. The questions that came to mind every time a person attempted to order was "why wouldn't she tell them that they would have to wait 30 minutes from the beginning before they even tried to order so they could reevaluate if their orders needed the grill?" And "what items are not on the grill?" Every person in line would get frustrated as she wouldn't even show what items didn't need the grill.. They would say "Okay I want to order this instead" and she would keep saying "that's on the grill so you have to wait 30 minutes." Like they were supposed to know.. Who wouldn't get frustrated? Time went on and I found myself still waiting at 6:30 PM. When i heard her mentioning the chicken katsu wouldn't take long since it's not on the grill. No update, just me sitting on those high chairs obviously waiting for my order. It's worse because you don't get a buzzer for using the kiosk. I decided to ask about my order but still had to wait in line to talk to that same worker. When it was eventually my turn, I said "I wanted to check on my order" and showed her a picture of the kiosk with the order number because the kiosk didn't print a receipt for me and rudely responded with "Your order's already ready" and just handed it to me.. Excuse me? No one even bothered to tell me it was ready and she spoke to me like I was supposed to know it was ready. How long was it ready that I was wasting my time waiting there? Also, please fix the option on the kiosk when you select the chicken katsu; it should have the option or be defaulted with "White rice & mac salad" like your app. The kiosk is misleading and doesn't say you don't need to select "all rice" or the other up-charge options. So when she gave it to me and she said all rice I explained to her that I thought it was making me choose an option and she got defensive and said "No it doesn't." She eventually took it to the back to put mac salad then returned and rudely told me "Next time just don't select an option." Wow. It was not my fault that no one called me to tell me my order was ready. It was not my fault there was a flood of orders during dinner time. I like Oh My Grill but please do better with the customer service, especially with the person who's in charge at the front. I understand that it gets overwhelming when it's busy but the communication and customer service was just the worst. No one deserves to be treated like that especially when we come often. This was such a horrible experience.. Maybe won't come back for a while.
