Garlic chicken wings

Saito and Pho Restaurant is a establishment with Japanese and Vietnamese influence in their menu. The menu has the typical Vietnamese appetizer and entrée along side with Japanese dishes like Katsu, udon, and tempura to name a few. The popular item, The Sizzling Plater, is a crowd favorite and head-turner among the customers. Service is fair and the interior has a darker design that is calming on the eyes. I will come back again for their Japanese menu!

Everything here is soooooo ONO!!! We always come on a weekend when we don't feel like cooking and it never disappoints! Food here is great and comes out fast. Our party of 6 ordered three wafu steaks because that's our go to! It would've been four wafu steaks but I wanted to give the oxtail pho add tendon a try and it was spectacular! I'm not a fan of the pho noodles but the veggies and the broth and the meat were sooo goood!!! My family loves the fried chicken wings here also! They usually run the front of house kind of short so service might not be the fastest or most tentative but they are nice and doing their best. The ambience just gives a homey feel like that restaurant down the road from home surrounded by locals. Ac is ran a lil on the colder side but I don't mind the cold. Overall great experience and value here is great with a vast menu.

Love this place! We were disappointed that the Wagyu was sold out, but it ended up pushing us to try something new. The Banh Mi sandwich was ono, and the BBQ pork over long rice was delicious as well. Definitely still a great experience, and we'll be back!

Hair from the Pho disgusting

DIrty as hell saw filthy hair on my bowl of pho can tell server and employee not even putting hair net for sanitation, bad service, beware if you care about your health, ever again will put my foot on this disgusting place.

6 Piece Crab Rangoon

Saito & Pho might not catch your eye from the outside, but once you're inside and the food hits the table, you'll know you found something special. We weren't sure what to expect, but everything we ordered was seriously ono. This is one of those places that makes you want to tell your friends about it and come back the next week. We started with the crab Rangoon, and it was the perfect appetizer. Crispy, golden, and filled with a creamy crab mix that was full of flavor. It wasn't greasy at all, and the dipping sauce gave it a nice sweet and tangy balance. We could have easily eaten another order. My partner got the pho and could not stop talking about the broth. It was rich, savory, and clearly made with care. You could taste the depth of flavor that comes from hours of simmering. It came with all the classic toppings and fresh herbs, and the chili oil on the side added the perfect level of heat. I went with the wafu steak, and it might be my new favorite dish in Ewa. The steak was tender, sliced thin, and served with a delicious Japanese-style sauce that had just the right amount of umami and sweetness. It came with rice and veggies and was incredibly satisfying. Every bite was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The staff was warm and welcoming, and the service was fast but never rushed. We felt really well taken care of from start to finish. If you are in the area or even just passing through, Saito & Pho is worth the stop. From the appetizers to the main dishes, everything we tried was a hit. This place is a true local gem and we can't wait to come back.

Sizzling steak with onions, sashimi, steamed rice & tempura & dipping sauce.

We come here for their sizzling steak platter as it's plentiful. It's a good portion of food & we normally get it as a set where you get the green salad, sashimi & t shrimp tempura. The prices are very reasonable & they have regular guests that come here for dinner. Service is pleasant. They also have a lot of takeout orders. Parking is conveniently located in front of restaurant.

Sashimi, which came with the Wafu set

This location of Saito & Pho is in the Windward City shopping center right next to KJ,'s. On my radar for years. Happy I finally came. I ordered the combination Pho. Very tasty broth and good size portion. .y wife had the Wafu Beef set. I got to sample her meal. Beef had a good taste and the sashimi the came with the set was of good quality. Atmosphere is clean and spacious. The high ceilings and the hanging plants gives you a relaxing feeling while dinning. Good and friendly service. Enjoy

I found steak and brisket pho
David T.

ordered the eye-round steak and brisket pho along with the wafu steak, plus the tempura and sashimi add-on (which came with two shrimp, a few veggies, and five pieces of sashimi). From the moment we sat down to the moment we left, we kept hearing the sound of sizzling plates coming from the kitchen, that's the wafu steak, and it's absolutely worth the noise. It was tender, flavorful, and easily my favorite dish of the night, honestly even better than their pho, which was still very good. While I probably wouldn't come back specifically for the pho, I'd come back for that wafu steak any day. The restaurant stayed busy the entire time we were there, the staff did a good job keeping our waters full, and the place was decently clean despite the crowd. Overall, great food, lively atmosphere, and that wafu steak alone makes this spot worth visiting.

After growing up in Chinatown for a good majority of my childhood, pho has always been a staple in my household. Whenever I'm feeling sick or hungover, it is usually the first thing I'll reach for when I'm in dire need of healing. This review is purely for my take out experience through Uber eats. I'll admit that I don't know many pho restaurants on this side of the island. I will admit I did have reservations on the name alone and was really fascinated at the fact that they serve a variety of Vietnamese and Japanese dishes. Remember when pho used to be under $15? I miss those days... One of the things I really consider when it comes to ordering through delivery apps is if the increased cost equates the value. This definitely was worth the $20 I spent. The portion was really generous and I love how they don't skimp out on the meatballs. The broth was very flavorful, a touch of saltiness with an underlying sweetness. I also really liked the reddish chili paste they provide with the hoisin, it was very reminiscent of Indonesian sambal, lots of umami and a little bit of spice. The veggies were also fresh and they gave a good amount of basil and mint which I always appreciate. I am very surprised that this place doesn't have higher ratings but maybe it is a little different dining in. It probably also varies on the dishes you order and they have quite a few. I have found a new favorite pho joint and this place will definitely be on my takeout rotation whenever I'm in the area. Yum!

For my friends birthday we chose Saito & Pho for lunch! We ordered spring rolls to share and each of us had a bowl of pho. I ordered with shrimp and the portion of shrimp was so generous!! The broth was also so delicious. My friends ordered brisket and combo pho and both really enjoyed! Our server was so wonderful and helped us to surprise our friend with coconut tapioca and a birthday candle! The restaurant was also really easy to find with lots of parking. The inside was decorated very nicely! Overall we were really happy we came here and we will definitely be back! Thank you so much

Awesome place. Great service. Pho is good but, my go to meal is the Wafu Steak. It does get crowded during peak hours.

Delicious food and pretty reasonable. A variety of options and all Onolicious! Mama's favorite is her Pork Tofu, Wafu Steak was my niece and nephew's favorite. My favorite is the Oyako Donburi. Can't go wrong with their menu. It's great and the owners are very friendly and accommodating.

I'm always hesitant to order Thai iced teas at restaurants bc I never know if it's authentic Thai tea or they just pour it from a can. But this place is hands down the best Thai iced tea I've had - authentic, perfect sweetness while also still getting that tea flavor. Sometimes me and my s/o will go here just to get the Thai iced teas! It doesn't take a lot to please me with panang curry so I loved it. I like that there was a good amount of veggies to chicken. The young man who answered the phone was clear when taking my order, helpful with my questions, and had everything ready right on time when I arrived. What we tried: - Thai Fried Rice w/Sour Pork - Spring Rolls - Fried Chicken Wings - Green Curry w/Chicken Everything looked great and we enjoyed our meal overall. The only thing we wish we had known was to order the fried rice "spicy." I assumed it would come with Thai chilis and a bit of a kick (as shown in their photo), but the version we received was very mild with no spice at all. Whomp, whomp, whomp..... The green curry did have a nice kick tho, so we ended up pairing the two together. Both appetizers were delicious - just a little sweeter than what we're personally used to. All in all, Thai Pho Ewa delivered a good, easy meal. The takeout service was prompt and friendly, so for now we're giving it 4 stars! Oh and btw, they have Military Discount :)

When I got there I remembered I got papaya salad from this place years ago but it sucked and that's why I never went back. Anyways, I walk in and don't get a greeting from anyone. Whatever. I pay for my order and then that's it. No "Thank you", "Have a nice day!" Just silence. So already the customer service is pretty shitty. I get home and open up my container and then I'm like wtf, the shrimp were all cut in half. Why would they even do that. That shit is so weird. You basically put like 4 shrimp in my plate and cut it in half. The salad came with 2 sauces, a sweet chili and a watery one I thought was fish sauce. I put the watery one on and it was so sweet. I was like wtf is this!? Plus the papaya was so tough. That salad was so junk so now they are 2 for 2 for bad papaya salad. I'll remind myself to NEVER go there again. I would give them one star but my son said their pho was alright so they get two. However if you're looking for good papaya salad and good customer service, this place ain't it.

This has always been my go-to spot…read morefor their house garlic chili paste and traditional Vietnamese iced coffee--and thankfully, both are still solid. The garlic chili paste has definitely leveled up in heat since my last visit--noticeably spicier but still packed with that deep, garlicky punch. It's truly one-of-a-kind, and one of the main reasons this place stands out from the many pho restaurants I've tried. No one else does it. They also serve Vietnamese iced coffee the traditional way--with sweetened condensed milk and coffee that you mix yourself. Most places pre-blend it and serve it over ice, but here you get the full experience, exactly how it's meant to be enjoyed. For food, I ordered the chicken pho, while my boyfriend went with the combination pho. Both bowls were very good. The broth leaned on the lighter side flavor-wise, but it was clean, comforting, and generously filled with tender chicken pieces in my bowl. My boyfriend really enjoyed his combination pho, which came loaded with a variety of meats. The side garnishes were plentiful and fresh--lemon wedges, bean sprouts, basil, and even culantro, which is a nice touch you don't see at most pho spots. We also ordered the spring rolls. Two rolls cut in half, crispy on the outside but a bit doughy inside. Flavor-wise they were pretty mild--okay, but not a standout. Service was fast and friendly, which made the experience even better. It was quiet when we arrived around 10:45 AM, but by the time we left, most of the restaurant had filled up--always a good sign. Overall, a comforting, nostalgic visit with some familiar favorites and a few subtle changes. Still worth stopping by, especially for that garlic chili paste and iced coffee. Will definitely be back when I'm in the area.

This location is located in Kapolei Village Center near Gina's and Mattress Firm. The parking lot is tight (IYKYK) but there are plenty of stalls. We went around lunch time on a weekday and only had two other parties. The interior was smaller than we expected, but we didn't mind - I'm not sure how crowded it gets during a weekend or lunch/dinner rush. We ordered: Thai tea, summer rolls with shrimp, medium combo pho, and large chicken pho. The Thai tea is such a generous size with the amount that you pay and it's so refreshing especially to cool your mouth off when you ask for a side of jalapenos for your pho! The summer rolls were thick and fresh but the rice paper could have done a smidge longer soaked in the water. Chicken pho was good - some parts were a little dry but it was in the broth so it wasn't too bad. The combo pho (I ordered medium) was a perfect size for me but didn't have as much tripe or tendon as I wanted. The highlight for us was probably the broth. 95% of the time I love to add hoisin or garlic to my broth, but this is probably the first time I've never had to add anything else to it because it was SUPER flavorful and the perfect amount of sweet already. Our server did not necessarily keep coming up to ask if we were okay but we noticed him keep looking at us and visually checking. Overall, this place is 5/5 and definitely would come back. I ordered the Bun Bo Hue today. So what is Bun Bo Hue? It's a complex and robust noodle soup…read morethat has a varying degree of spiciness, mildly sour and herbaceous. There really is no sweetness to it. Overall I give it a 4/5. I'm comparing it to places I've eaten in Southern California in Little Saigon and Vietnam. Here is my breakdown: Good: 1. Decent amount of meat. Some places skimp out on the meat portion and all they give you is a bunch of noodles. 2. The beef shank was perfectly cooked and melted in your mouth. Good job! 2. Fresh and plenty of herbs. I really like that they also provided shredded banana blossom and morning glory. You don't always find this at most Vietnamese restaurants. 3. I am happy that they DID NOT provide blood cakes. I think for most Americans, blood cakes is not something that is appetizing. Even for me, I tend to take it out if it's provided. Bad: 1. Nothing bad stands out. I think I would suggest providing the noodle soup in a bigger bowl. Neutral: 1. Typically in Bun Bo Hue, thicker round noodles are used. In this case, they used thin vermicelli noodles you find in summer rolls. I kinda like that to be honest with you all..... What I would of wanted more from the broth: 1. The broth overall was good. I think if there was more of a lemon-grass flavor to the broth, it would have added more to the taste. 2. I would have like more of the shrimp paste flavor. I know not everyone likes the fermented and "stinky" smell of fermented shrimp paste, but there are ways to add it to the broth and hide the smell while enhancing the flavor. 3. I personally like pork knuckles or hock, and I would have like bigger and more of it, but it's not a deal breaker. Vietnamese Ice coffee (without the condense milk): 1. I would suggest adding more sugar next time. I could taste the bitterness of the Robusta beans. Not a deal breaker. DOG FRIENDLY - I brought my dog (service dog) with me and had absolutely no issue. I think even if my dog didn't have the service dog vest on, I don't think the staff would have minded. So THANK YOU for being pet friendly. Have I had amazing Bun Bo Hue? Yes....in Vietnam. But you're also in Hawaii and I think the people at this restaurant did a great job. I would order it again.
