It's been hot lately and I needed something cooler for lunch. I decided on this restaurant as it was convenient to completing rhe rest of my errands in this shopping plaza. First, found the restaurant tooked into the corner next to Buffalo Wild Wings. Upon entering, the restaurant has a great upscale atmosphere with outdoor seating. A few bar seating up front as you wait to be seated. But during this weekday lunch, there was just one other family seated. Service was quick as I already knew what I wanted. Possibly because of its upscale vibe, prices are $6 -$7 more than other places. Food was tasty. Portions are large and so I was able to take home my leftovers. Bathroom is nice and clean. The only thing is that there's a large frosted Pictor window making the restroom really warm and muggy. I would recommend this place, but not for everyday dining due to the higher end price. read more

I tried two items from this location, I placed my order at the counter and it only took about 10 min. I tried the Pad Thai and Mango sticky rice. The positives, both items had a decent flavor and it was quick. The negatives, the sticky rice was gummy and just one big lump which is unfortunate bc the flavor is there. The mango was delicious, tasted like it was fresh off the tree! I was also a little disappointed with the noodles bc they were on the dryer side and were all clumped together. read more

Finally tried Thai Pho Ewa for dinner last night. We had planned to dine in, but ended up feeling a bit lazy and ordered takeout instead. The young man who answered the phone was clear when taking my order, helpful with my questions, and had everything ready right on time when I arrived. What we tried: - Thai Fried Rice w/Sour Pork - Spring Rolls - Fried Chicken Wings - Green Curry w/Chicken Everything looked great and we enjoyed our meal overall. The only thing we wish we had known was to order the fried rice "spicy." I assumed it would come with Thai chilis and a bit of a kick (as shown in their photo), but the version we received was very mild with no spice at all. Whomp, whomp, whomp..... The green curry did have a nice kick tho, so we ended up pairing the two together. Both appetizers were delicious - just a little sweeter than what we're personally used to. Decided to stop in here last minute for lunch and ended up having a really great meal. Located in the Laulani Village Shopping Center next to Buffalo Wild Wings, it was easy to find and a perfect spontaneous choice. We were greeted right away and seated immediately, and the staff were warm, friendly, and welcoming from start to finish. We started with drinks--Thai tea and Thai iced coffee, both with boba--and they were spot on. Refreshing, perfectly balanced in sweetness, and the boba was cooked just right with that soft, chewy bite. For appetizers, we tried the summer rolls. They were good and fresh, though not particularly standout. The papaya salad, however, was the star of the start of the meal--bright, crisp, and refreshing with a squeeze of lime and a sauce that wasn't overly salty. Easily one of the best papaya salads I've had. Our mains were the panang curry with sticky rice, which was rich, creamy, and full of flavor without being heavy. Everything hit the spot and left us very satisfied. If you're craving Thai food in the area, this is definitely a solid choice. I love finding a solid Thai restaurant! Thai Pho Ewa has become one of my newest fav Thai places. The star of the show for me is their THAI ICED TEA! I'm always hesitant to order Thai iced teas at restaurants bc I never know if it's authentic Thai tea or they just pour it from a can. But this place is hands down the best Thai iced tea I've had - authentic, perfect sweetness while also still getting that tea flavor. Sometimes me and my s/o will go here just to get the Thai iced teas! It doesn't take a lot to please me with panang curry so I loved it. I like that there was a good amount of veggies to chicken. It was a weekday, it wasn't crowded as we got there about 7ish. We were greeted and seated immediately (loved that for us, especially with a toddler). My husband has been here before, so he already knew what he wanted. I on the other hand kinda reviewed the menu to see if there was anything I wanted to try before we went. So we were pretty quick to order. I got the oxtail pho and my husband the combo, of course we split our meal with the baby (she enjoyed all the cucumbers on the side). We first tried this place a while back & did take out and it was alright. Broth was meh, could use more flavoring so we always skipped out on dining in. My aunty started to go PT upstairs & by the time she's pau we're starving so we bit the bullet and dined in. I highly recommend dining in instead of takeout! Everything tasted great. My favorite was their mango sticky rice. So so good! Workers were nice and attentive. Although the owner could have an attitude adjustment or at least smile at her customers. This was our first time eating in the restaurant. We have done takeout a few times over the years. We ordered spring rolls, Prik king and green curry chicken. The food was fairly good in comparison to the other local Thai restaurants. I brought my own Thai beer to drink as usual, but they told me there was a $5 charge for me to drink it with my meal. I've never had that happen with beer before. I understand corkage fees for wine, but it is absurd to expect a patron to pay to drink their own beer. I probably won't go back. read more

I added extra jalapeños and chili oil to my rare beef/brisket combo pho for extra spicy. the servers were extremely sweet and attentive even though it was close to closing and we were one of the last tables seated. Catchy restaurant name! Thai Pho Ewa (pho real) here in Ewa Beach. Finally!!! A legit Thai place on this side of the island. Located at Laulani Shopping Center with Safeway, Ross, Starbucks and City Mill as neighboring businesses. You'd think parking would be plentiful here but the lots get full and you end up driving in circles or get "stalk-like" with anyone walking. What's good? Any and all of the soups! Really! My family loves the oxtail pho and we ask for extra cilantro and lime. Rich, light (contradictory I know but it just is), deep with flavor and oh so healing on so many levels! I'm one of those people that eat soup on the hottest day and this pho checks the box for me. Tender, fall off the bone oxtail bathing in that delicious broth. Another favorite here is their brisket pho (same description above, different protein) and their Tom Yum soup. There are other better Thai restaurants! They should have it in bold writing in front of the menu, not at the bottom where you most likely wouldn't look & go straight to the dishes. We've been to Thai Pho Ewa about 15-20 times before, but after our last visit, we don't want to go back. I ordered three dishes, including Pad Kee Mao (a dish we ordered many times in the past). When we tasted it, the Pad Kee Mao was bland and had no flavor. We told our waiter, and he tasted it himself, confirming it had no flavor. He apologized and gave us a container for one leftover dish but not for the Pad Kee Mao. When the bill came, the Pad Kee Mao was still listed, and we were told we would be charged for it anyway. They didn't offer to remake it, and we ended up paying for something poorly prepared. I am not one to make a scene in a restaurant and I paid with a sense of loss. This is a poor business model. If the food is bad you will have to pay for what you get and you won't get another one made for you. I am from Thailand and this is not the Thai good service I am used to seeing. Very disappointing, especially after being loyal customers for so long. Service was good, ambiance was good but if you don't mind paying for something you didn't expect in terms of taste, don't take that chance. read more

Was looking for a new thai spot for dinner and my friend and I stumbled upon this place in ewa beach. We came around 8pm and were sat down immediately. The restaurant has some neat decor and smooth jazz playing in the background. We ordered 3 items, the pad see ew, a smoothie, & a chicken banh mi. All food came out pretty quick and food was hot and fresh. I had the pad see ew, chicken was tender and the noodles were cooked perfectly. My friend had the chicken banh mi which he described as the perfect amount of toppings, the sandwich also came with a delicious sauce. With all the holiday rush shopping, we were famished! This restaurant was close to where we were shopping, so was only right to come this way. My friend highly recommended this place. Been to this same restaurant, when it was a different establishment. Interior is very modern, Asian, chic. Bright, lively, and clean. Staff greeted me a friend and I, as soon as we stepped in. Service was 5 stars. I ordered the combination pho, it was very aromatic, deeply flavorful beef soup. Was so rich in flavorful, it's making me salivate as I think of it now. Was accompanied by fresh herbs, and bean sprouts. So hearty and good. With the thin slices of meat and noodles, it was a very balanced meal that hit the spot! Chicken wings were cooked to perfection, crispy, hot, and oh so flavorful. Thai dumpling shrimp, was also a hit! The shrimp was so good, I could've just ordered that with side rice, and call it a night. They serve alcohol, oh yhea! I don't order, but definitely will next time. I ALMOST CRIED!!!! I haven't had Thai in Ewa because honestly, I'd rather be deprived than disappointed. Today though, we parked in that Keaunui shopping center parking and randomly decided to try it. First off, our server Jay--awesome! Took such good care of us, had such a welcoming and warm aura about him. He rounded out our experience for sure! The place is kinda tucked away in the inner corner of the shopping strip. Looks small from the outside, but it was actually pretty spacious. Ambience was nice. Place was clean and neat. Between the three of us in our party, we had the spring rolls and calamari for our appetizers, Thai green curry (w/jasmine rice), fried garlic pork (w/sticky rice), ox tail soup (w/jasmine rice), and 2 Thai teas. The spring rolls (comes with 4) were the perfect size, tightly wrapped and fresh (and the peanut dipping sauce was BRUHHHHH--SOOO GOOD)!!! I almost cried after that first bite. Calamari was good. The pieces were thick, crunchy, and it might just be me but I think it was imitation calamari. It was still delicious. Can't go wrong with calamari. Thai green curry. Ehrmagherd. Perfect spiciness, veggies tasted fresh, so fragrant, perfect amount of chicken--I had to share just so they could experience my joy. Add the jasmine rice to the curry and break da mouf! Oxtail soup was okay. It had flavor, was kinda on the sweet side, and the meat wasn't as tender as I'm used to. I don't know if it was because I was already obsessed with the curry and didn't really eat too much of it, but I might have to give that one another try. For now, I'll say it was just okay. Thai tea was delicious. Just the right amount of ice and sweetness. Perfect way to round out the meal. Since moving to Ewa Beach, I've been trying out new restaurants and this one might be my new favorite. As a lover of both Thai and Vietnamese food, their menu has it all. The chicken banh mi was smaller than we expected but the sauce and fluffy bread definitely made up for it. I'm still daydreaming about that bread!! Their green curry with tofu was also hands down one of the best I've ever had. Next time, I'll ask to make it a little spicier :) We went on a Sunday for lunch and it wasn't too crowded. The staff was very friendly and checked on us often, even asking if we wanted to change the tv channel. This place is OK. I had very high expectations about this place. I still think Pho King is better. it is a very clean place. I will give it that and the service is actually pretty good. So I will not knock the service. However, let's start with the Vietnamese coffee. It taste as absolutely horrendous. I expected it to be good, because usually Vietnamese coffee has a strong espresso taste with that sweet condensed milk. This one tasted very watery, and it diluted the flavor. it did come in acute Mason glass though. I will give it that. Let's go for the combination pho. It is decently packed. I had a little bit more noodles than meat, which was a slight disappointment, but the flavors were decently there. Usually I take my broth home, but this time I did not. I feel as it had a lot of MSG. What threw me off my soup had a lot of minced garlic. I've eaten a lot of pho my life and I know for a fact it does not have minced garlic. I just wasn't a fan of it. But the other food did look good from what other people were having. I think if I come back here I'm not going to get what I got. I will give this another try and hopefully by the time, I try it, the stars will be higher. read more

My mother in law and I decided to come here at 11 am for an early lunch. This place was fairly new. The lady was nice to open the door for my mother in law because she's in a wheelchair. I pushed her in. We got seated at a bigger table so we had room to eat. I decided to get the Thai iced tea to drink. This was good and came in a cute mason jar. I ordered chicken wings as an appetizer and my mother in law only ate one. It was perfectly cooked and crispy. Then I ordered the pork vermicelli. It came with lots of veggies and the pork was cooked perfectly. So good. The plate was plentiful. After I ate that, I wanted dessert and got the mango sticky rice.bit came with the coconut sauce. Oh so good. The mangos were perfectly sweet. Overall, the service was excellent by our waitress. I definitely want to come back and try other dishes. Plenty of parking around the restaurant. Pork belly plate cane with two scooos of rice and about 8 small pieces of pork belly chopped up (not worth it). Meat was chewy, couldn't eat the fatty parts. Was not crispy at all. 11/9/24 Didn't want to drive too far for pho which was s big mistake ....so we decided to dine here instead.husband and I both ordered their pho. The soup wasn't hot and it kinda lack flavor. Pho and company as well as pho HH will always be the best in my opinion. Also they charge $4.95 for extra basil ! We also got their combo appetizer with fried tofu, fried shrimp roll and spring rolls .... It was flavorless and the sauce tasted off... also they didn't have garlic chili oil. Service was ok.
