My party all had Pho for lunch, but the broth didn't have very strong flavor and we found it to be greasy.

Pho Ever is a very solid, casual place to grab some pho and Vietnamese food. The pho is definitely great. I particularly enjoy the P4 (round steak and beef ball). My current favorite dish is the Vermicelli Grilled Pork. It's a rice noodle dish with carrots, pork, lettuce, and cucumber. Their banh mi (again I've chosen the pork) sandwiches are good as well. The also have great bubble tea (I like taro and Thai tea). They could improve the quality of their meat and their service, but otherwise this is a great location for some tasty, comforting Vietnamese food. P.S. Try pho (from here or anywhere good) instead of chicken noodle soup next time you're sick. It's a great healer! read more

The only place that I ever used to go to for pho was Hué in Bayview which is pretty pricey, but I haven't been there in forever since I found this place!!!! Been wanting to stop here for a while and grab a bánh mì sandwich. It's not often I get out in the Hales corners area. I was happy that an errand put me out that way so I could grab a sandwich to go. It's a small cute restaurant inside. The minute I walked in the door I was greeted, which I thought was nice. I actually ordered the house special Bánh mì sandwich however, when I got home I had a different sandwich. I believe the sandwich they gave me was the pork bánh mì sandwich. Either way it was a fantastic sandwich. I definitely plan on going back to try the house special version. I would also like to order in some time and try some of their Pho. I placed an order at 11:30 am for noodles and spring rolls to be picked up at 4 PM. The order was placed through Yelp. When I arrived to pick up my food at 4:30, the food was sitting out beneath a ray of sun on a table. The person who provided me the food indicated that the food was made at the time that the order was placed. So my food was sitting outside for almost 5 hours. No offer was made to understand that the order was to be picked up at 4 PM. The server did not volunteer to remake my food, nor did I ask them to make my food again as I was too tired to deal with the problem. It went straight into the garbage. The food is fresh and served in a timely manner. We ordered the baked chicken rolls with peanut sauce for an appetizer and I personally wasn't a fan. They were mostly lettuce with a tiny strip of chicken. Nothing special. I wouldn't get those again. The side salad was simple but perfectly chilled with a delicious light dressing. For the main course, I ordered the shaken chicken, which included chicken, rice, vegetables and some sauce. There was more than enough for for one person and I had plenty of leftovers. The meal was very good but I can't say that it was something I'd be craving to go back for more. First pho experience outside of California. It was good... for me, the most important part of the bowl is the broth. The broth was fine, rate it a 7 out of 10, not mindblowing, not bad. More noodles than I expected for the regular sized bowl ($10 bucks-ish). Brisket, flank, tendon and meatball rounded out the bowl. Your traditional accoutrement were offered. The standout of the whole set up was the chili sauce that was brought out with the hoisin and sriracha. That chili sauce was bomb. Summer rolls lacked herbs, but it had a decent amount of pork and shrimp. Without the herbs, it lacked the freshness that I'm accustomed to. Peanut sauce that was served with the rolls were fine. Service was abrupt, got what you needed, no frills. For a pho place, it was great service! All in all, it was... fine. "Middle of the Road Food, Blinding Sunlight, Uneven Food Service." Went with 5 other friends and while some of us were happy with our meals, others were not. My vegetarian spring rolls were very, very bland - no flavor at all. Just a strip of tofu placed on top of lettuce, it seemed like. The peanut sauce was ok. Two people in our group said their food was better than average, but two others seemed to indicate it wasn't all that great. So, I'd say middle of the road, average fare, nothing to write home about. Oh, all our entrees came out at nearly the same time, except for one person in our group who had to wait almost 10 minutes for his dish to come out. :( One other thing to mention, if you go at 5:00 p.m. in October and face the windows, you will get blinding sunlight in your eyes even with the window shades pulled down, they are virtually see-through. I live very close but somehow this place wasn't on my radar until a few weeks ago. We went late on a Sunday after a hot day working in the yard, I had the beef combo pho, he had chicken curry. I thought my pho was very good, I only wished they had the dried garlic bits that Thai Lotus (RIP) had on their condiment tray because that is my favorite. I am ordinarily wary of the beef meatball, but I liked this one and the brisket was very good. My partner's chicken curry was also very good. Lots of chicken and veggies in a yellow curry with great flavor. We came back a few days later for takeout, being that I got a cold and I always eat pho when I get a cold. This time I got the veggie pho (yum), an egg bahn mi for my son, and red beef curry for my partner. Great bahn mi, can't wait to try the pork. We also got a mango shrimp salad, which was fresh and delicious.. The menu is large and has a lot of intriguing Vietnamese items that I'm looking forward to trying on future visits. I'd been wanting to try Pho Ever for some time and just got around to doing so last week with my family. It was excellent! We ordered spring rolls, used to the egg roll-sized spring rolls. These were HUGE and amazing. One-half of one of these is equal to about one "normal" sized spring roll. Just the right consistency, lots of vegetable crunch, and delicious peanut sauce on the side. I got the combination pho - large - and was pleased all around. I am a big eater and may have overdone it with a large, but it was worth it. It arrived not spicy, allowing the diner to add the spicy goodness to their dish available at the table. So very good! My daughter was skeptical about going, not having tried pho before. She ended up getting a noodle dish instead, but was sold on the place. If there was any negative about the experience, it is that there was only one server - working hard - so service was a little slow. We will definitely be going back again and again. read more

We stopped by for pho on a cold day. The beef broth was decent, a bit oilier than usual but full of flavor and goodness. I like to add lots of lime juice to the broth. Portion size was good for a regular bowl, but large bowls are available for an additional charge. My hubs didn't care for the beef meatballs as he found them too chewy. I ordered a matcha milk tea with boba and that hit the spot as well. Some of the bobas were undercooked though. There are two tvs available and we watched the last half of a football game. Staff consisted of a two-person team. They were vigilant on water refills and checking in on us. The only issue was being very cold in the restaurant. We and other diners chose to wear coats while eating. It doesn't help that the front of the restaurant is made up of windows, but eating in a warm place wasn't an option that afternoon. read more

My family and I enjoyed lunch at this hidden gem! Fantastic food at decently large portions at a great value. The restaurant was extremely clean compared to a lot of area pho places! It was a nice surprise. The service was also superb. Our waiter was attentive and our water cups never ran dry. My family and I are eager to come back and try their pho! Pho never again. When I walked in I was immediately hit with the rank smell of like dead rats. It was bad. I was really turned off and I was about to walk out when the guy insisted me to sit. Other people were eating and I wondered how they weren't bothered by the smell. I've eaten here before and it wasn't bad a few years ago. But the table was dirty and sticky. They give you the cheapest chop sticks ever. The food was still good but I have to question the sanitation of preparation with the smell in the air and what the kitchen was like. Awesome PHO really close to where we live. Our takeout was ready in less than 15 minutes, which is awesome. The place inside is very cute! Dimly lit and the freshly prepared food being served to the diners looked awesome. We are strict vegetarians, so we ordered the vegetarian "sandwich" (aka, a bahn mi). It was HUGE and laden with strips of peanut infused tofu, carrots, cilantro, sliced chili peppers, and cucumbers on a delicious long baguette. This sandwich was incredible! We would absolutely get it again. We also ordered the vegetarian vermicelli noodle dish with tofu. This is typically plain rice noodles topped with chopped lettuce, cucumbers, carrots, peanuts, and some sort of protein and an egg roll. I asked to omit the egg roll which contained pork, and I also asked several times to omit any fish sauce. The dish looked promising, but I have a feeling that the tofu/vegetable mixture had fish sauce in it :(. I had to eat around all of that. I thoroughly enjoyed the plain noodles, carrots, cucumbers, lettuce and peanuts! We will definitely be going back to try some veggie soup and more sandwiches! read more
