Came in on a pretty busy Saturday night. There was a party of 20+ and a few other tables with a couple of patrons. I get that the staff prob needed all hands on deck for the big group so the service was lacking a bit in my opinion. We ordered Pho P2 and P3, crab ragoons, and the pork Bahn Mi. Food was good, but I kept feeling like the dishes were missing something. Also, I would recommend the crab ragoons not be served on a bed of cold lettuce. My ragoons were cold when they got to the table. Other than that, my husband and I agreed we would come back and try other dishes. read more

We came in when it was very empty. We were the only customers. Ordered the crab Rangoon, almost $6 for 8 pieces, you can tell they're home made and had a good crisp. Should have had a little more filling tho. But we still enjoyed them. My SO and I both ordered the pho combo in medium, the portion was pretty good, broth was flavorful and not too oily. The only complaint would be we like to eat a lot of bean sprouts and basil leaves and there was not enough. But if you don't eat a lot of them then it won't be a problem. So apparently ordering a large pho is exactly the same as ordering a regular size. You get no more broth?? I was told a large just meant they gave me some extra noodles. I can get an extra order of noodles on the menu for $1.95 but they charge $2 extra for a large pho and that's the only thing different. Seems a little sketchy. Every other pho place I have been to gives you more soup when you order a large. read more

This review is going to cover the online ordering and customer service experience I had tonight. This restaurant does not have an official website but if you look online you can order through the smallneighborhood site. I placed my order through the site and received an email confirmation as well as a text confirmation that my order had been received. When I arrived at the restaurant 30 minutes after the order was placed, the person working the counter looked at me with confusion. She explained to me that they did not receive my order and that the online ordering system was not working.She was a bit rude and gave an attitude as if this was my fault, I thought that was unnecessary. She also did not offer to make up for the inconvenience of me having to wait 35 minutes for an order they did not receive, and then potentially wait another 30 minutes at the restaurant if I had put an order in. It's too bad, I do think this restaurant has good food overall and we've ordered DoorDash from them several times. Delivery was a mixed bag most the time it's OK but I've had better luck with carry out. I will likely order from them again, but I will probably order through Yelp or another service. This is unfortunate as a restaurant likely incurred fees for these orders from third-party services. They would do well to come up with a website that works properly and at the same time likely improves their profitability. If you've made it this far in the review I'll give you some more on the food. Their pho isn't great. If you're looking for a better pho go to 35th and national or 27th and Grange. I do enjoy their spring rolls, lemon grass pork, bánh mì sandwiches though. Do better, develop a website that works properly, keep your loyal customers happy, try to smile at the counter and be accommodating. I missed out on a good meal tonight, but you missed out on a $40 ticket and made me write a bad Yelp review. read more

It was a nice little place. The peanut sauce for the spring rolls was very tasty. The pho was good but the broth was a little week on flavor. I had the boba tea and the boba were a bit over cooked and mushy. The staff was really nice and the place was clean so I would go back and maybe try something else next time. read more

This was the second time I ate at Pho Ever. The first time was wonderful, this time it was pathetic. I ordered a large combination sandwich which was supposed to have pork and sausage on it. So let's start off with the service. He greeted us and was nice but when it was time to order, he kept trying to get us to hurry up and order. I wasn't even half way though our order and he kept trying to yank the menu out of my hands. Then my husband proceeds to try to order a bubble tea and he angrily tells my husband that they don't have any of the stuff to make a bubble tea or a smoothie for him and then walked away. So then for the food we ended up ordering 2 P1's and the huge combo plate of fried rice. My son, who loves fried rice absolutely would not eat it after a few bites. I tried it and the rice was incredibly hard and the meat tasted like it had already gone bad. As for the pho, it was super greasy! I tried this place for the first time recently after moving to the area and am in love! I had never had Vietnamese before because it can be difficult to find a Vietnamese restaurant with vegetarian options. This place worked well for both vegetarians and non vegetarians. I ordered the vegetarian rolls, vegetarian tofu bahn mi sandwich, and the lemongrass vegetarian tofu vermicelli with no fish sauce for take out. Everything was very fresh and the vegetables were crisp. The rolls were just okay. They were very fresh but were mostly filled with filler type ingredients so I would skip those next time. The vegetarian sandwich was on soft delicious bread with wonderful fillings. My four year old, two year old and I all loved it. The vermicellli was also delicious and had a huge serving. If you live nearby and don't want to travel far, this Pho place is for you. However, if you don't mind traveling just ten minutes out of your way, you can find much better Pho places. Went here with my sister and the rice dish she ordered was nothing like the picture shown, and it was coyingly sweet, even though it was supposed to be spicy. The Pho is average. It's good, but I'd rather drive out of my way to another spot. The appetizers were great though! However, the service really lacked each time I've gone. The time I went with my fiancé, we both ordered Pho and it took longer than 20 minutes to be served. Which is odd for Pho because the broth is pre-made and left to simmer. Ordered via door dash; spicy beef salad, pineapple shrimp fried rice, lemongrass pork, and spring rolls. Fried rice was solid, Vietnamese style fried rice. The pork and spring rolls not so much. The lemongrass pork was served on a bed of shredded lettuce, with onions and cucumbers. I can see the onions and cucumbers, but the lettuce? Took away from the flavor and texture. The spring rolls were shrimp and rice noodles (standard in VN spring rolls) and....LETTUCE! No shredded cucumber or basil. What is with the lettuce? Maybe I'm spoiled having access to the Argyle Street Vietnamese area in Chicago, and having travelled several times to VN, but this place definitely overdoes it with the lettuce. I get it: a cheap filler. Also, the competing Vietnamese cuisine in this area does not lend for people to know what the dishes should be like, unfortunately. read more

Came here on a Saturday and there were a few other tables. Typical Vietnamese pho restaurant atmosphere. Grilled Pork Rolls were all lettuce and very little pork. Rice noodles are listed, but we didn't have any in our rolls. Grand Father Spicy Chicken Wings were bad. They are better plain than with the horrible sweet & sour sauce or the sambal. Either grandpa needs to learn how to cook or they need to make them properly. The pho combo was underwhelming and you could get better pho pretty much anywhere. The large bowl isn't as big as other pho restaurants. No small dishes to squeeze your sriracha or hoisin sauce. Overall, we came here to try out a different pho place and the rating was misleading. This place was fantastic! We started with the crispy egg rolls at the suggestion of our server, and they were delicious. Not too greasy and served with a plum ginger dipping sauce. We both got the pho entree for soup and it was great! This is one of the only broths that I actually preferred without adding anything.
