I always forget how good this place is. The food is fresh and the meals are well executed. My wife loves their mango salad. I enjoyed my Pho. Service is very good, the restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. I love the sandwiches. The bread is great. The toppings are tasty. Really good value, way better than a burger. The only thing keeping me from giving 5-stars is the beef on the sandwich does not taste grilled. It's good, but a char-grilled meat flavor would take it to the next level. I love the convenience. Tried Pho L'Amour for the first time and was not disappointed!! Great spot fir lunch and they have awesome Vietnamese options. It wasn't very busy when we arrived so the service was very fast and the food came out piping hot. They also have vegetarian options on there menu. I got the veggie pho and it was great. The one thing I will mention that was a drawback was that the floors were incredibly sticky. Otherwise everything else was great! Would recommend! read more

Was in the area on business and was craving Pho so gave this place a try. The food was good and restaurant was clean. I ordered the spring rolls with shrimp and they were huge! I wish they didn't cut them in half though since it made the contents tend to fall out when dipping. Just my personal preference. I also got an order of their beef special pho - also huge! Always love to visit Pho restaurants wherever I go. Today was a chance to try Pho L'Amour Cafe. It is a nice looking establishment, with plenty of seating. I ordered the P6 with shrimp and the SW2 the BanhMi. It is a good size bowl of Pho, the broth is for my taste a little bit too sweet, but enjoyable. I really liked the BanhMi, great combination with the bacon and the pate. The price is pretty high compared with the prices in Connecticut. But I'm in Wisconsin and I want to enjoy the meal, not complain about prices. Would definitely come back for the BanhMi SW2. read more

Stopped in on a cold winter night in search of a great pho place having just moved to the area. I walk in and the place is large, well lit, clean. Tidy and nicely decorated. The service was great - checked on me regularly, smiled, prompt. Had the pho and some egg rolls. Both great. Broth is lovely - basically what I judge all my pho on. With Covid, I've been working from Waukesha area and looking for Pho closer has been a fun challenge. I think the secret is in the broth. I originally found Pho L'Amour by chance with a fellow friend just as Covid hit but we were able to dine in and at that point they had been open only 5 months. The Pho was flavorful, fresh ingredients, and I had the Pho Tenderloin ($14.95) Tenderloin, well-done brisket, meatball, beef short ribs the first time and most recently the Pho Combo ($13.95) Eye round steak, brisket, meatballs. Accompanied with all the hot sauces, bean sprouts, fresh jalapenos and basil it was good. The second visit we ordered directly from the Yelp app and the order was ready on time. Been here once before, but my last experience was really weird. We needed a high chair, but the busboy didn't know how high chairs worked apparently and tried to place a booster seat on top of the high chair and when I took the booster seat away, they flipped the high chair saying 'it would be more stable this way'. We eventually understood each other and I set up the high chair normally, but that was just the beginning. When the waiter took our orders he didn't ask what we would like to drink and then when we were still working on our spring rolls they took away our peanut sauce, which admittedly was very, very good. I also did call the waiter back to order a Corona. For the main course we had Pho and a vermicelli noodle dish. The pho reeked of cinnamon. I did not ask if this was a regional thing, but I've been to a lot of pho places and never even really smelled cinnamon, but the smell overpowered the flavor of the dish and my wife was not amused. Secondly the vermicelli was all chopped up instead of whole noodles so it was unnecessarily difficult to eat with chopsticks and made it harder to dip the noodles into the hoisin and sriracha like I normally eat Vietnamese vermicelli. Overall the flavor and texture of the meal was acceptable even if a little strange, but my wife was already uninterested in returning. Finally when paying my bill, the waiter/manager made an awkward comment about me having a beer when I was eating with my family. I suggest management that if they have real principles about that kind of thing then they should refuse to serve alcohol instead of being passive aggressive at the register. I give two stars because the food was weird, but not horrible, the ambience is quite nice, and I can't imagine they are so weird with everybody. read more

When this restaurant first opened, my boyfriend and I really enjoyed their pho. After years of not coming here due to distance and other better options, we haven't been there since. Last night we were craving pho and decided to come here since many of our favorite locations were closed Tuesday's. The pho we had last night was HIGHLY disappointing... probably the worse pho I've had, and I don't say that often. I don't know what changed from this location but we definitely will not be coming back. Additionally, the prices here are way overpriced and not worth it ($3.50 charge for an upgrade to a large!). Considering we pay $20 PER bowl of pho, the limes they provided were 1/4 of a slice. It's clear the owners are stingy with their products and greedy with their money. It's quite disappointing to see a restaurant we used to enjoy, alter their food and prices so significantly. read more

Came here thinking it would be great because of the reviews, so wrong! Chicken pho was not tasty at all and needed basic seasoning. Have had way better pho, chicken pieces were big and bulky. Dumplings were great and the crab Rangoon. Peanut sauce not good at all. Service guy was super weird, kept laughing AT us every time we made a request, for example: we asked for pitcher of water, than for some ice for our room temperature tap water (which btw was given to us in a bowl?), chop sticks, and napkins. Each request required a laugh, it was so Weeeeeird! Overall for us, not worth going back for subpar "pho" and weird service. read more

I have had Pho all over the the area and I have a couple go to places but I'm always willing to try new places, it's what I do. This place has been on my radar for a short time because it's 2 months new now so I wanted something different for lunch like a nice Pho and I stopped by. At 12:20 only one car in the lot and one booth in service which can be a bad sign. The place was nice looking and freshly done with decent booths and the cheap cafeteria tables/chairs. The sign out front says grand opening free tea or soda so I would try the tea. I was greeted right away and my order was taken but I was never offered the free soda or tea or even given a glass of water which I had to ask for to get. The Pho combo came pretty quick and looked good but not much good smell coming off of it. The garnish plate looked good also but I wish some cilantro was in it. I tasted the broth before I added anything to it and I thought it was light on flavor which explains the lack of the good smell like my favorite places. The combo Pho has eye of round, brisket and meatballs which was super average I thought and the chili sauce I added didn't help much. This place will definitely not replace my couple of known good places with tasty broths in any way and I will stick to my places. read more

I bought a condo minutes down the road. While moving saw the sign repeatedly and after a few days were able to give it go. My sons and I dined in a warm welcoming atmosphere complemented by a talkative, friendly, first generation server. We ordered the mini crab Rangoon for appetizer with main dishes pho shrimp and pho chicken in massive bowls. One bowl could have fed all three of us. As an aside, the heat- hot chili sauce or Siracha- played well for those of us who love the added spice. We had a pleasant, flavorful dining experience. We popped into the Pho L'Amour Cafe recently to see if it could serve as an alternative to the amazing Pho Saigon in West Allis. The manager/owner was very kind and listened as we navigated through the menu. Because we are vegetarians it proved impossible to pick something without alteration from the menu. Our experience was made great by politely asking what we could order. The food was really good and the experience was exactly what we were looking for. Pho L'Amour has a nice interior atmosphere for being in a strip mall. Please add some more vegetarian options, Pho L'Amour! Pancakes? We can't find those in any Vietnamese restaurants around. read more

DN1 Grilled Pork & Egg Roll was delicious! We also ordered the SW2 Grilled pork sandwich. The bread was super fresh and toasted, all ingredients inside were proportioned accurate and had great taste. Would get again. Last, we had the P4 Pho Well done Brisket. The soup is well made, and deep in flavor yet not over powering. The meat was tender and full of flavor. Often times beef becomes rubbery in the soup, not in this case. This place is a highly recommended.
