My son and I stopped in for a late lunch and sat at the bar. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about everything on the menu. She was able to describe how the various entries are constructed and the ingredients included. She also talked intelligently about the noodles that are made "in house" and what entries fit best with which noodles. We started with hot White tea and the shrimp tempura appetizer. The White Tea was very good, especially on this cold afternoon. (5 stars). The shrimp tempura was just okay. The breading was a bit oily and did not adhere to the shrimp. (2 1/2 Stars). I ordered the seafood Ramen and loved the flavor and the freshness of the ingredients. The Scallops were extremely good, great taste, and cooked just right. (5 Stars). My son ordered the Curry Ramen and thought it was good, but he felt that the jalapeno was a bit overpowering. (4 Stars). The noodles were very very good. Food Service 4/5 Location 4/5 Firstly I'm from the coast where good ramen places are a plenty. This really fell flat. Ramen - I built my own ramen with pork, tonkatsu base, regular ramen noodles. Broth was super bland. Egg was cooked properly but not seasoned at all. Cuts of meat were too thick and overcooked. Random shanghai tips that didn't go well at all with the ramen. And really how this was put together really isn't ramen. Tempura shrimp - super oily, tempura definitely not done traditionally. But overall taste was ok Mochi ice cream - stay away lol. Especially the mango - tasted super artificial. Black sesame was a little better but still too sweet. On top of that they put whipped cream and sprinkles..they did end up giving it to me for free and called it a birthday deal which I appreciated because this was quite a disgrace for mochi ice cream.. Service could have been more attentive. I was waiting around for quite a bit to refill water and get my check. Located downtown so you know parking will be difficult. My office has overlooked this spot for the last five years and I never made it in. FINALLY a co-worker suggested it for lunch, and I'm so glad they did. While the prices felt a little steep at first, especially as it was my first time at a true ramen place, the amount and quality you get makes it more than worth it. Will say the beef did not taste very "beefy" and was a bit reminiscent of ham in terms of looks and sweet flavor. The food and staff were great, so this is something to look forward to when we are craving a nice hot bowl of ramen. For some comments, service kind of took long to take our order and food to come out, but I did overhear something about new hires, so that may be why. Outside of the restaurant, the website seems to be a bit dated, as it does not have the Birria Ramen on the menu, and the reservation feature was not working on my phone. I was in the mood for some ramen one night, and this place wasn't too far away, so my husband and I stopped in. The menu is pretty big featuring a variety of dishes for all appetites, including a couple options of ramen and a build your own option. We also ordered a build your own ramen bowl and a beef ramen with level 2 spice. I am not a big ramen connoisseur but I found my build your own bowl pretty good. I ordered a tofu, miso base, and rice noodle, with the essentials. Though our waitress/bartender was new she was able to go through the menu with us and help us with any questions we had. We did originally come in for a table, but it was a 10 minute wait at the time so we opted for the bar. We were helped right away and all the food came out pretty quick! The TVs had anime and Nightmare Before Christmas playing. There is a lot of fun décor and specials displayed throughout. I loved the aprons/bibs for those that may need it when enjoying their ramen. In Milwaukee for a couple days. Walked and found this gem. I had a very lovely dinner experience. Sat at the bar. The bartender was very friendly and attentive. Had good conversation. I ordered the deviled eggs, mussels , kani salad and had a special roll made for Me that's not on the menu. Now that's service! Either the head chef or maybe owner came out to bar. Not even a minute of sitting there we get fussed at by the server Tyler for sitting there because it's "reserved for a four top" ok whatever you didn't have to be rude nor shout in front of everyone. There's a better way to handle telling a table to get up. Again they were not busy & the whole 30-40 mins we were there it never got busy to the point where all of the tables were filled. In fact there were no four tops ever walking in. He proceeded to then come up pretending to be cheery and greet us, horribly I might add. He then tried to rush us to order apps, we didn't even get to really look at the menu. We were debating on whether or not we should even stay. We decided to stay, finally ordered everything. We got the pork gyoza which were cold by the time we received it. We got the momofuku, the bun was extremely tough, not even chewable. We also ordered the birria bao and beef rice bowl & my boyfriend ordered a Kirin beer which came at the very end & clearly our server Tyler forgot he even ordered it. Shouldn't the drinks come first before the food? Enough said. The food was mediocre, the vibes of the entire staff were off & you can clearly tell that the server Tyler did not care/want us there. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We felt very unwelcomed & uncomfortable the entire time being there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There was not apology on his behalf ever. At the end when we were done, we didn't even complain about the food. We ate & he came over to drop off the bill without asking if we wanted dessert or another drink. Instead he came back with the bill stating "no rush" when obviously it was a rush. We heard him ask other tables around us if they wanted dessert or another drink & clearly interacting with them with kindness. All I gotta say is, treat others how you want to be treated. If you treat us like we're trash, we'll do the same. When we got the bill, we saw there was an automatic 18% gratuity added to the bill. First off he never told us, also we should not have been automagically grated for a two top. That's ridiculous. If you want to guaranteed your tip, maybe learn how to be a better server & treat people with respect instead of acting like you own the place. So good! Because it was so dreary and rainy outside, my partner and I went to Doordash to get something delivered to the hotel, and I'm so happy that Artisan Ramen was our decision. We ordered a LOT just to try everything because it all sounded so good, and we weren't disappointed. (We also appreciate that we had leftovers for a few days!) For appetizers, we got Crunchy Ramen Cheese Sticks, Japanese Popcorn Chicken, Devilish Eggs, Pork Gyoza, and the Momofuko pork buns. The cheese sticks were weird but delicious, cheddar cheese coated and fried in crunchy ramen noodles. I've never had anything like that before, but the salty and the crunchy and the creamy was a perfect medley. The popcorn chicken was tender, and the spicy mayo it came with was addictive. The Devilish eggs were well balanced, with the creaminess, spiciness, and smokiness from the bacon and wasabi blending well. The pork buns had a great flavor, and the pork belly ymelted in the mouth. The gyoza were fine- they tasted pretty standard. We also built our own ramen (miso, tonkatsu, squid ink noodles, egg, mushrooms, & black garlic) and got a salmon poke bowl. The ramen was delicious and flavorful with just a hint of eat, and the salmon poke bowl was really fresh. Came into artisan ramen for dinner last week. There was a long wait to be seated and the waitress was also serving as the hostess so we felt ignored for a while. We ended up waiting 15-20 minutes before we were finally seated. Our waitress was great once we had been seated, I wonder if they were just short staffed that day, but she was busting her butt to serve and seat everyone. The lychee cocktail was delicious, as was the rangoon, karagee chicken, and the udon noodles. The serving size for the apps was a bit small, and the noodles which I got with tofu had three tiny slivers of tofu included with little flavor. The noodles though were terrific. Overall it was good though. As others mentioned they do auto add 18% gratuity regardless of table size. read more

Subtle hints of bacon throughout each bite. Spicy Edamame - I'm unsure what the complaint about these were in other reviews I found this to be really tasty. (Ask how to get it free) Curry Ramen - I ordered this at spice level 3 with their homemade spicy noodles and I am so happy that I did. A little tickle in the back of your throat but nothing too spicy if you enjoy spicy food. Fire Roll - nothing too special, it wasn't bad by any means but it was a fine roll. Serviceable. Tempura Roll - if you've had a tempura roll elsewhere then you've had this one. Again. Not bad but nothing that's going to make it stand out. Service - Tracy was really great. She greeted us promptly, gave us recommendations and was a real joy. I'll be honest reading some of the reviews were very average but I'm glad we took a shot at this. I'd come back. They removed my review, stating I wasn't a customer. However, I've been into this establishment multiple times and the experience in which they treat their community is what I was reviewing on, so I will repost my review. As of recent their pride flag was removed. Assuming that's a political stand point due to the election being so close. However that is a very sad thing to see as that was one of the only reasons I walked into their building in the first place. It's a very sad thing for the community and those who would have choose to walk into an establishment based solely on the fact they felt safe. I won't be supporting a business who lets politics affect how they treat their community. With that being said their food, also isn't that good always tasting super fishy and either cold.
