I FINALLY FOUND SOME AMAZING PAD THAI! Flavor was amazing, the to-go portion was great, and I got level 3 spice and it had a hell of a kick. Love the actual peanuts, and all the bean sprouts and lime they gave me! Order didn't take very long, and the inside was packed! Very beautiful interior that I would love to dine in next time. Can't wait to try more of their dishes!

Excellent Thai/Lao food! We rolled in with 4 adults and 2 kids and zero reservation a few hours before the Wisconsin State Fair. They were slammed but they still found us a table within a couple minutes after first saying 30 minutes (yay!). Service was slow since they were clearly understaffed, but staff stayed attentive with drinks and water. The food was absolutely worth the wait! The Shumai were huge and filling, loved by both the kids and adults. The Masaman Curry Beef was tasty with just the right spice. But the star was the Pork Larb. It was bright, tangy, perfectly seasoned, and unforgettable. I even had the leftovers for breakfast the next morning. Overall: slower service, but excellent food. The larb alone makes it worth coming back. NOTES/TIPS: **Your choice of protein and spiciness on most of their dishes. **Walkable from Milwaukee's Lower East Side- the historic area by the Milwaukee River. **Easy street parking- not busy. **Online ordering for takeout and delivery on their website.

I really enjoyed the newly remodeled ee sane! The ambiance and vibes were good. Perhaps could have used louder music (or was there no music?) but still enjoyed the space. Service was very kind and attentive. They do air on the side of not bothering you/checking in a Ton and the food does take a bit to come out, which I personally appreciate for a dinner with friends but may bother some people. The food and flavors were amazing! The portions and price were fantastic. I highly recommend the curry, tea, and fresh spring rolls. The presentation of the hot tea was exceptional. Will definitely be back! Sorry the picture is of half eaten food, it was too good!

Stopped by after a museum visit, craving some Thai food, and this spot didn't disappoint! The service was good, and I really enjoyed the open, authentic Thai-inspired decor. The Thai iced tea, served with milk, was exactly what I was craving - delicious! We ordered dishes with different spice levels (3.5 and 4 stars), though I think they might have been switched. Next time, I'd go with the full 4 stars, as it had a nice kick but wasn't too spicy. We tried the Tom Yum soup with chicken, which was packed with flavor - always a favorite of mine at Thai restaurants. We also had the chicken pad thai, shumai appetizer, white rice, and beef. The beef was a bit salty and slightly over-fried, but the chicken pad thai and shumai were really tasty. Overall, a good experience, and I'd definitely return to try more dishes!

Exploring halal restaurant week in Milwaukee and EE San delivered. Everything was excellent from the tum yum soup, to the best egg rolls I've ever had. Seriously I've never seen egg rolls without bubbles before it was special. And for the main course the lava dish with steak, this was really good but the beef a little tough towards the end pieces but still absolute fire. Speaking of fire... I got 5-6 on their heat scale and it had my head sweating I'd say it was on par with habanero so it wasn't too bad perfect for me to still taste all of the flavors

Pros: Best Thai food in Milan, heck in Wisconsin Cons: Sometimes closed, service is usually good but has moments Details: I can't count how many times I've been to this place. They have take out and indoor seating. Service is usually good, but we have had a few moments of inconsistency when busy. It has a good space for a group if it isn't busy. The food is the highlight. Everything is delicious.

Adding this place to my list of top Thai restaurants in the MKE area! I've heard great things about this place but only recently stopped by. I'm always craving Thai so i'm glad that this place is 1) delicious and also 2) close to me! Great portions, delicious food, and awesome staff! We ordered 3 dishes for three people and I had enough leftovers for a couple meals. Everything we ordered was pretty standard, but they did it very well. They're pretty generous on their spice, so definitely be careful! I usually get medium spicy but their 3 was pretty hot already.

    Pork larb

The food was great. Started with the very flavorful pork dumplings. Order of 6 split 3 ways. We all loved them. I tried the pork larb as Lao food is harder to find. You order the level of spiciness. I picked level two. The spice in this dish is more sharp than sweat inducing. The rice that comes in a cute blue and white bowl smooths it out. The cabbage that comes on the side is meant to be used as a roll up which I didn't realize. The service was a bit slow, party of 6. Dishes came out of the kitchen in waves. Some difficulty getting to separate checks. Everyone enjoyed their fare and commented on the fair portions. 5 took home leftovers. One very confusing thing. There is another ee sane 3 blocks away. We went there first and were late joining our party. There is going to be constant confusion about this. Really dopey.

Authentic Thai is hard to find especially in upper Midwest. If you're looking for one , look no more for this is the place in Milwaukee. A must try when visiting Milwaukee. As we have gone to this restaurant twice , we ve learned also about the food and owner. All the food they dish out here is family owned recipe from familiar Thai food to regional Thai food. All the food that we've ordered here so far we're Delicious and enjoyed our dinning experience. Only thing to be cautious is about the level spiciness. Even it's a medium it could be still spicy, but still tolerable. Service staff are also attentive and friendly. They serve the food with pride and care.

It's tough to find a Thai food spot around Milwaukee, but I think EE-Sane Thai Cuisine is a decent compromise for the lack of Thai cuisine. Be prepared to parallel park somewhere around busy downtown Milwaukee streets and keep your eyes peeled for the spot because it's quite hole in the wall. Our table ordered a ton of plates of food, and those that ordered meat-based meals shared the consensus that the meat was well cooked through, but lacked balanced portions of meat + veggies + curry/rice/noodles. Vegetable delight: The meal was a very simple mix of vegetables and noodles. Not sure if it lived up to the "delight." It lacked a clean palette of spices, the vegetables were pretty raw and not super cooked through, so the noodles and vegetables felt incredibly separate from each other to be a hearty meal. When I order a plate of vegetable stir-fried anything, I generally look for a complement of flavors, vegetables, and noodles/rice that blend together in their flavors and how cooked through they are with the spices. This location just missed the mark on that. The service was where I had to cut a couple stars. We arrived and had a party of about 8 to 9 people and with that comes a hustle and bustle of chatter. Our waiter came over to tell us to quiet down which we understandably did, until a few minutes later, we hear a set of two other tables chat quite loudly, a child start screaming, and the combination of the two was as 'loud' as our group had been to which the waiter who was also serving those tables did nothing to quiet them down. When it came to the checks, we were overcharged for our meals, waited an hour for our food to come out, two of us had to ask for extra vegetables because some of our plates were more noodles than vegetables. Maybe this was an off day for the restaurant, but I haven't been back since. Would recommend this place for a Thai food spot if you're looking, but at your own discretion, cheers!

One of the best restaurants in Milwaukee! The yellow curry and the squash curry are my favorites! I just wish there were better parking around here!

I had to go with the One Night in Bangkok again because it's just a really nuanced and complex mix of tangy, spicy and a hint of sweet. The smoke show also is impressive. My cousin tried the Berry-cation from the summer menu and it was perfect for her - very fresh and a little sweeter. Cousin-in-law got the Thai Goddess, with tomato, and it was very interesting - not quite fruity and not overly vegetal - very cool. Our food was amazing. But luckily my husband quickly checked well before we were served and saw there were reservations available online, so he booked us one on the spot. We were then given two excuses, one by the bartender and a different one by the host as to why they couldn't honor the reservation: (1) there were no tables available for us (note the place was half empty, but we supposed maybe there were lots of reservations coming later--nope, the place was still half full by the time we left); (2) we had to make the reservations 30-40 minutes in advance and we didn't do that so even though we did have a reservation, they couldn't honor it because we made it too soon to the reservation time (WOW--complete BS). We were peeved but decided we should just enjoy our dinner. BUT as we were finishing up, about 5 couples came in WITHOUT a reservation and both the host and the bartender gave each couple the option to either sit at the bar or at a table. When I confronted the bartender about it, she claimed "they weren't supposed to do that." WHAT?! She literally just offered a couple a table without a reservation. What do you mean?! It was insulting. Anyway, we will absolutely NEVER come back here. The tip we left was solely for the kitchen staff who were hard at work and doing an honest job. Bartender and hosts are discriminatory and awful. Do NOT recommend if you are looking to be treated with respect. Would give zero stars if that were an option.

I completely agree that this isn't authentic chinese food, but approachable fusion that tries to keep it truthful to the flavors and presentation. The highlight of the meal was the peking duck, which they only have about 2 orders of a night. We snagged it immediately when we sat down and it can easily feed 4 people with the sides. The duck was juicy and cut into thick pieces, so it was more of a steak rather than a bao style that I am used to. Nevertheless, it was delicious and even warmed up well the next day. The green onion wraps were...strange in my opinion. They fell apart easily and didn't have the best flavor that complemented the duck. Overall, I would come back for the duck itself, but everything else was average or extra salty. Service was great and the staff are very attentive. Happy eating!

The vibe: It was packed at 7:15 PM on a Sunday, and they held firmly to our reservation time--which is understandable given the crowd. We took a nice stroll while waiting, so no harm done. Once seated, the service was excellent--attentive, prompt, and professional. The food: This is clearly high-end Americanized Chinese food, not authentic regional cuisine. If you go in expecting that, you'll have a better experience. The menu reads like a "greatest hits" collection--familiar dishes done with nicer ingredients and presentation. What worked well: Smashed Cucumber - A strong start. The cilantro and bean sprouts were exceptionally fresh, and the peanut finish added nice depth, though the sauce leaned a bit salty for my taste. Service and atmosphere - polished and efficient. What fell short for me: Wonton Soup - The wrappers were thicker than I prefer; I like a more delicate, translucent skin. The leek-based broth was pleasant, though. Salt & Pepper Cod - The seasoning was good, but the cod pieces were too thick, so the center remained bland. Halving the thickness would improve the texture. Mongolian Beef - Tender meat, but I wanted thicker cuts and larger onion pieces for more bite. It leaned a bit soggy for my preference. Rice Cake with Pork Belly - Pork belly was well-executed, but too many rice cakes overwhelmed the dish. The flavor leaned Korean (almost kimchi-like), which felt like a departure from the rest of the menu. Beef Chow Fun - Felt repetitive, using the same thin-sliced beef and bean sprouts as other dishes. I'd prefer charred broad rice noodlesthat are thin. These rice sticks were wide and thick,so like the cod, the center of the rice sticks were bland. I also preferred more eggs in this dish for variety. The overall pattern: Many dishes share similar ingredients and sauce profiles, which makes sense for a busy kitchen but does reduce variety across the meal. Bottom line: If you're looking for authentic, nuanced Chinese cooking, this probably isn't your spot. But if you want a polished, upscale version of familiar Chinese-American favorites in a great location, with reliable service, Dan Dan delivers that well. I personally wouldn't return, but I can see why it's popular--especially for the crowd that wants comfort food in a nicer setting.
