This restaurant was such a great find for vegan options! All of our food had great flavor and we cleared our plates easily! Tofu had a great texture too. Veggie tempura was perfectly fried and super crunchy!! Our waitress was so great, very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed!! The place is beautifully decorated too, has such a cozy feel, like you're eating at someone's house!! Definitely looking forward to coming back

I stopped by this restaurant for the first time tonight and was able to get a seat right away! It seems like a smaller family-owned restaurant and had that comfortable/casual atmosphere. My server was very attentive and friendly. She was able to fill up my water multiple times throughout the dinner. All the food was delicious, but I especially loved the soup. It was perfect for a chilly day. And if you have room for dessert, the mango sticky rice is such a classic. I look forward to coming back and dining with them again!

I am on a mission to try all of Milwaukee's pad see ewe with tofu to be specific. This pad see ewe is a lil sweeter, saucier but not wet, tofu is cubed and crispy but not fried, wok hei was faint, but just the right amount of vegetables. The Tom yum reminded me of Vietnamese canh chua which is always welcomed. This was a great dinner for 2 with no left overs and so affordable! I'll be back the next time I'm grocery shopping at cermak.

Cute little spot. Liked the long booth seating. Quick and friendly service. Been looking for some good pad Thai and I loved it. Level 3 spice even had my nose running a bit! Also got the fresh spring rolls and they were great. Will come back again!

    Kapoon, great flavor!

Friendly, fast and flavorful! Menu prices are great! Decor and area is nice and clean!

Amazing down to earth mom and pop. You know it's authentic when the decoration is minimalist and only manned by one person. With that said, ambiance is simple and you're here for the food. Service is fast, friendly and great, especially with only one waitress On to the meat of the review, the food is truly great. I would recommend the noodles- got pad see ew, Singapore noodles, basil fried rice. Red curry was not good. Has all the right flavor but it was way too watery. I can't wait to try the other noodles

I decided to close out another bookmark and I stopped here for lunch and to my amazement the dining room is still closed so it's take out only. The menu has a lot of good sounding items but the Thai chicken wings sounded good because I have never had them and I got an order of egg rolls. The egg rolls came in an order of three so I expected tiny egg rolls and they were with a side of orange dipping sauce. The egg rolls were ok with rice noodles and some fine veggies. The Thai chicken wings looked pathetic because a lot of the batter was missing like they were thrown around and they were tiny wings. A peanut dipping sauce came with the wings which was good. The wings were so small and had very little meat on them like Cornish hen size wings, had I known that I never would have ordered them. I came, I saw and I ate but I'm not very impressed with my food so I'm probably one and done at this place.

Some of the best Thai food we have had in a long time. We started eating so quickly that we e forgot take a picture before we stared eating. We had Tim is soup, yumwoonsen and Singapore noodles. The food was perfect with a perfect spice level. The service was excellent as well. Make sure to try this place - it was great!

Siam express thai food is an awesome Thai restaurant. I have frequently gotten lots of comforting Thai food from here and have absolutely loved it. I love the pad thai (chicken is great, tofu is even better) with the bean sprouts. The noodles are tasty and the bean sprouts add an extra crunch to the mouth feel. Adding crab Rangoon as an appetizer is a great idea, I love the soft and crunchy edges. The street noodles are also a great entree. Definitely give this restaurant a try for your Thai food needs.

Great food and service. An underrated small, local place where they work hard to make you feel welcome.

I was shopping in the area and this establishment was only a mile way. My husband ordered the beef laab with sticky rice and I picked chicken green curry. Our server was prompt and took our orders right away. Ten to fifteen minutes later and our orders came out. The beef laab was solid. We picked spice level 2 and it was not too spicy for my taste. My spice level is low. It was flavorful. I could taste the herbs. Especially the lemongrass, mint, and cilantro. It was popping. The sticky rice was still warm; bagged inside a rice basket container. Salty, toasted ground rice powder, and a tad of spice. Chef's kiss. I was excited for my dish after tasting the laab. When it came, I took my spoon into curry and the first sip was super sour. Wait, I've eaten green curry from all around the US and this was the first one that had a really sour note. I took a few sips and offered it to my husband. Same, it was so sour. The sliced chicken pieces were hidden. So was the Thai eggplants. The whole bowl were basically sliced onions and green pepper. So disappointed. Green curry is one of the Thai national dishes and if they can't do it right, I don't think I could give them a second chance.

I ordered the enchiladas, which were cooked through, well prepared, and finished with queso fresco and crema. The presentation was beautiful, and the flavors were exactly what I was hoping for. My husband ordered the pad Thai, and it was the standout of the afternoon. It ran a touch sweeter than we are used to, but it was balanced, well seasoned, and full of flavor. The presentation matched the taste. Service was attentive and efficient. We were seated quickly, and our food arrived without a long wait, which matters when you are dining with a child. The reason I speak to the number of adults is because they were a bit inappropriate: they were very loud and I felt so bad because I have no doubt the group I was with disrupted the experience of other diners. I'm not a prude but even I was slightly embarrassed at times (I didn't know the group well and didn't anticipate the noise/volume). ANYWAY, I bring all that up because our server tolerated us and I was very grateful for him. Aside from being kind, he was very knowledgeable about trying/pairing items and making suggestions for us. We came after visiting one of the nearby breweries. We were seated right away at the bar. I had a glass of the Black River sake and my boyfriend tried the Blossom of Peace. His was much sweeter and I was very happy with mine. They weren't served in traditional sake cups, just in regular wine glasses but this was good with me as they were a normal sized wine pour. They had a special for Bluefin Tuna. We shared the Nigiri trio by cutting each piece in half. My favorites were the two fattier cuts ( otoro, and chutoro ) I remember at this point we wished we had ordered another appetizer since the restaurant was busy and our main sushi rolls took a bit of time to arrive. We decided next time we would at least get the edamame in between plates. The rolls we ordered were the Ponzu Jello and Riverwest. The Riverwest description listed a smoky miso mayo which I did not notice a different from regular flavored mayo on a roll. The Ponzu Jello was unique and worth trying! The rolls were fat and very filling so we did not need to order more than two! I think we both agreed that the Riverwest roll was our favorite of the two. After that we noticed there was a special for some premium sake, so we ordered the G Joy. Very delicious, easy to drink and a perfect size to share.
