I used to like this place for the Banh mi sandwich but they are always skimpy with the jalapeños and cilantro so the last few times I have repeatedly asked for extra jalapeños and cilantro but they F it up all the time and never make my Bahn mi how I want it. Well I walked in instead of a phone order to convey my Bahn mi sandwich preferences and the guy told the kitchen in front of me extra jalapeños and cilantro but when I got home once again no extra jalapeños or cilantro. The temperature dipped in the 50s, which made it the perfect time for a bowl of my favorite soup, bún bò huế. This spot is one of the two we usually visit, and it never disappoints. There's plenty of parking, and the service is quick. The soup is naturally a bit spicy, but you can ask them to skip the jalapeños if you prefer it milder. Felt under the weather and decided to try Pho Ever to help kick my bug. The lady that placed my order was so nice and helpful when I had questions on two items. I had the beef tenderloin pho. The broth, meat, and veggies were all fresh and helped my sore throat a lot. I had their shrimp veggie roll as well, that was fresh and the peanut sauce was a nice addition. It's taken me five years but I have found the best pho in Milwaukee. It's not just Milwaukee excellent, but it's anywhere excellent!! The broth is flavorful, with the perfect savory richness that takes pho from decent to the bee's knees and comes piping hot. The noodles are perfectly cooked to al dente. We got the house special (pho dac biet) which has eye round, brisket, tendon, tripe, and meatballs. Wish I had a couple more meatballs, but I'll take it! We also tried the Grandfather Spicy Chicken Wings (sweet and spicy and perfectly crispy and also piping hot!) and the grilled pork banh mi. I'm not sure it was a rice baguette (more like a bolilo) but it was nicely toasted. Grilled pork was tasty, with a slight sweetness, which paired well with the mayo and pickled vegetables. Foods came relatively quick, the beef broth was tasty, not water down, just as expected. Spring roll had lots lettus, not enough cilantro, basil abd mint, but freshly made, so that was good. The crispy rice noodle was crispy and coated with sauce, vegetables were fresh. We agreed we would return. In the end, they charged egg roll but we did not get that, so we needed to correct that. Bottom line: Good food, great prices! There are several good Vietnamese restaurants in the Milwaukee area but the thing that stands out about Pho Ever is that they have more vegetarian options than other restaurants I've seen. They have a bahn mi sandwich with tofu, spring rolls with tofu, and they have pho with tofu as well. I haven't seen other Vietnamese restaurants with all those tofu vegetarian options. Also the prices here are very fair. Their pho is very flavorful (and large), they have a diverse menu and everything I've tried from there has been very delicious. I have only eaten vegetarian food from here, so I can not speak about the quality of the meat. Maybe I will write an update to this review once I've tried the beef/pork. The bun cha gio (dry vermicelli noodles) are good (they also have a vegetarian tofu option for this). The noodles with the fish sauce only were not that flavorful but the condiments on the table (soy sauce, sriracha, hoisin sauce) made the noodles a bit more flavorful. Their bahn mi sandwich is sooo good. I think about it often and crave it. The bread is delicious and soft, the Mayo they use is perfect, and the pickled carrot/daikon are super delicious and all fit together perfectly in the sandwich. Their milk bubble tea is tasty and their Vietnamese coffee is strong. I think Pho Ever is a great Vietnamese restaurant; I am a regular there and I think you should give it a try... maybe you'll become a regular too! read more

Came in here one evening with my dad and my son. The place was pretty empty but it was staffed. It's nice and open and I didn't feel crammed. Our order did take a while and while we don't mind it did seem a little odd. We were so happy once the food came! I got the vermicelli and my dad got pho. We were both very happy with our orders. I even made a comment that I needed to bring my husband. Our drinks didn't arrive until we were almost done eating. Whenever I go on vacation, I look for a pho restaurant. Pho EVER is the best by miles!! The ingredients are always fresh and their broth is to die for!!! I eat their once a week, every week. 5/21/19. Ordered Pork Rib Noodle Soup and will get a Bahn Mi to go. P1 Pho. Cleaner (less heady, not so saturated spice flavors, not so meaty) tasting broth and fresher tasting meat. $12.95 for medium. I generally like the opposite of this type of broth, but it was tasty and the meat good but it never picked up the broth flavor. Summer Rolls $6.95 for two medium and Spring Rolls $5.95 for two medium. Typical, but over priced for portion and peanut sauce quite thick. Vermicelli bowl with Pork and Shrimp. Hubs says it was half lettuce, no bean sprouts, meat did not have the fresh grilled flavor and was not as flavorful as other restaurants. The Shrimp had a sauce on it, they weren't grilled, more like steamed. Usually it's grilled and no sauce. I asked for chili garlic sauce and they do not offer it. It would have helped to brighten the dishes we tried. We like the clean decor and the fresher approach with the food we tried, but the depth of flavor is missing and prices a bit higher than the old school restaurants we keep going back to. Service was polite, prompt and the atmosphere is calmer/quieter than some of the older places in the area. There are tablecloths! I'm trying to find reasons why we'd return. I think we will stay with our standards. I hope my review is helpful. Maybe people new to Vietnamese cuisine would benefit from starting out at a place like this. Located in a strip mall corner the space is easy to find and has plenty of parking. Waling in the dining area is on the smaller side and generally you just sit where you want. The menu is posted above the counter and you order there. You can also call in an order of course and like so many places these days the take-out service has become standard, but each time I have tried that here I have been told my order would be "ready in 20 minutes" and then it takes twenty minutes when I show up. Have tried the Spicy Hue Style Rice Noodle (S9) aka Bun Bo Hue with rice noodles, sliced pork beef, lettuce, beansprouts, green onion, cilantro and lemongrass. The portion size was very generous and was filled with deeply flavorful broth with a nice kick of spic. Overall very delicious and I can recommend you try this dish. Also have gotten the Grilled Pork Vermicelli (DN1) aka Bun Thit Nuong & Cha Glo with dray noodles, lettuce cucumber, sweet and sour carrot , peanuts and fish sauce. This also came with an egg roll. I do love pho, but the dry dishes have a much more distinct and strong flavor profile as there is nothing to blend them together. If you want a more robust flavor, try a vermicelli and add the fish sauce it's very flavorful and filling. Have never had the Banh Mi at this establishment, but some of my dining companions have and they have all said it's solid, but lacks a bit of filling and I could see there were few jalapenos on the sandwich. I've also always seen that adding an eff to Banh Mi was a thing, but here that's not the case. Pho portions are generous and enough for leftovers especially if you order the large. Yea, you can say that I'm a fan of Pho Ever and Pho Ever I'll​ be going here as long as I am in the area. I often go here with some of my Vietnamese friends as there are limited options in the Milwaukee area besides​ cooking your own authentic Vietnamese food. I think we go here so often where they would ask, P2 Combo, Bun Bo Hue, Porkchop? as they are our go-to meal whatever time of day. In P2, it's​ their combo Pho that has more meat than most places, the only downside​ to this bowl of pho is the tripe, where the tripe is my tripe? But everything else they have is typical of a pho bowl. The Bun Bo Hue? I like the noodles that accompany it, its the softer kind and not so chewy. Though it's missing something that I think is essential to a bowl of BBH, which is the pork blood and pork hock since I like these two. But they have all of the necessary veggies toppings to go with it. The pork chop with rice? I can eat it at least once a week as well, it comes with duh, the pork chop, a fried egg, rice with sauteed​ green onions on top, and pickled veggies. The porkchop is really flavorful! I always have had good service here by Marisol and T and have never had a problem with them or anyone else for that matter, whether it is stopping in for lunch or for dinner. Though once, we were ordering a Bo Banh Mi (Beef sandwich​) on a Wednesday night and it was packed and just took a while to get our sandwich but that okay, the wait was well worth it. I went to this place on a whim because I decided I wanted pho and didn't want to be far from home. I stopped in about 630 in the middle of the week and there was at least 3 groups of people in there already. I took that as a good sign. I was quickly sat and given a menu to look over but pretty much already knew what I was after. I went with the P3 which is Pho with flank and eye round steak. I don't think I waited 5 minutes before the food was out and in front of me. That along with my iced Vietnamese coffee was $14.00 The broth was super good, the steak was ok but not amazing. I've had better but not really worried about it as it was ok. The mood in there was super mellow and quiet so eating my tasty dinner in a super chill environment was lovely. If you're in the area and have not yet tried it here I suggest you do. They have plenty of other Vietnamese choices as well so you don't have to get just Pho. read more
