My friends and I have always enjoyed coming here. The food is delicious definitely better than most places nearby and the service is usually quick and efficient. On our most recent visit, we ordered an appetizer and a Banh Mi sandwich, and both were great. However, I've noticed a few changes lately. The prices have gone up quite a bit, and after our food was served, the staff didn't check back to see if we needed anything or to refill our water. The food comes out at lightning speed!! This is not going to be your fancy sit down restaurant, rather, it's traditional Vietnamese food that's absolutely delicious in a minimalistic setting. I got the pho dac biet, which is their house signature pho with sliced steak, brisket, tendon, and meatballs. Lots of sauces on the side like sriracha and garlic chili sauce to spice up your soup!! This was DELICIOUS - a very hearty feeling, a rich broth, and very fresh ingredients. I've dined here 4 or 5 times over the years. Initially I didn't think the broth in the pho had enough flavor, but over time, the broth grew on me. The beef, meatballs, and noodles were always plentiful and cooked properly. My go-to pho is P1, with sliced beef, meatballs, and tendon. I also tried their A12 Banh Mi once, and it was good, but not one of the best I've had in town, same as the pho. The food is good and service is fast. I expected Pho Viet to be order at the counter. But walking in, someone said hi, asked how, and lead me to a table. Moments later I got menus and a water. They asked us what we wanted twice. The first time we weren't ready, the second either but ordered a boba. We were ready after but after 15 min we realized they weren't going to tables, so we ordered at the counter. The Taro Milk tea was amazing. My friend tried tapioca pearls for the first time and was surprised how they they were gummy and less bursting than the jellies. The shrimp spring rolls (GÓI CUÓN) were good, standard but big 3. The PHO GÀ - Fresh rice noodles with chicken and com TAY CÀM (CLAY POT) with tofu were both very good and large portions. The table does have many extra sauces. At the end still no one was going around. The whole room was full and they had many to go orders. We waited a while but ended up going to the counter. And then waited a while to get the bill and then to pay. The place itself reminded me a bit of a supper club. I have to recommend to go or don't go on a Friday night around dinner time. This restaurant is fantastic. The ambiance is nice, and they have free wi-fi. However, the food is absolutely marvelous!! I ordered Menu Item B22 to go. The order was placed very efficiently and the food was ready very quickly. When I got back to my office to eat the food, I opened the container to shear art!! The food was beautifully laid out, smelled wonderful, and looked very enticing. As I ate this delicious lunch, I could not believe such a wonderful place was so close by. I had been eating Vietnamese food from a pretty good restaurant down the street. However, Pho Viet is my new favorite and go-to Vietnamese restaurant. It's clean...quick and good quality food. I got the pho because trust me it was negative degrees outside. The delicious pho broth hit my stomach and immediately warmed me up. I got the meatball and brisket and I really enjoyed it. It was such a large portion I had to to-go some of mine which isn't the best for reheating but it was still delicious later. The broth didn't much to add to it beyond some spice which is always up to the individual. I really liked it and I will be back to try something else but it will be hard to resist pho during the winter months. read more

We ordered a beef noodle dish and Banh xeo, a Vietnamese crepe. The beef noodle dish for my bf arrived in a reasonable amount of time but not the crepe. We waited maybe 4-5 minutes when we heard the ding of a bell, figured my food was up. Sadly that was not the case. The waitress came to inform me they were out of Banh xeo and would I like to order something else. Large restaurant with lots of seating. I've been on the mission to find a Vietnamese restaurant in the Milwaukee-ish area with good pho and BBH. I asked two waitresses if they have the coagulated blood in their BBH and both of them seem to not know what I was talking about/asking for, so I took the risk and ordered it anyway along with their pho dac biet. Both dishes had a good amount of meat. The BBH did have one piece of coagulated blood and some fish sausages (besides their normal meat) that was very very salty. The broth for BBH was not giving me enough flavor for me to register it as bun bo hue, and was really sweet compared to what I am used to. Pho tasted standard to me but fell on the sweeter end of the spectrum. This place didn't hit it for me, but I am sure they had other great food options! read more

Was in south Milwaukee by the airport for some business. Found this place on Yelp. Nothing special. The pho broth is bland and inconsequential. Got the steak and meatball pho. The broth is just as likely to be used for the chicken pho (sarcasm) as it is bland. The grilled pork ban mi was again just tolerable. Hands down one of the BEST Pho's I have ever had (and I have had Pho in a lot of places!) the flavor of the broth, the texture of the noodles, the amount of meat (I had the beef one) and the toppings were outstanding. The Bubble tea (Milk tea with Boba) was out of this world. The only "downside" is that neither of these had different options for size, that said, we were super hungry so it ended up being fine. Rate 7/10 B42 chicken pad Thai - noodles were cooked perfectly, the chicken is bland but with the sauce everything compliments well, I would prefer a kick and added a lot of chili to mine. Rate 6/10 D1 Vietnamese iced coffee - freshly made, strong coffee that is not too sweet. I'm glad there's not too much sweet condensed milk and ice in this. I was in the mood for a Banh mi sandwich for lunch today so stopped by here to check one out. The restaurant is in the corner of the Pacific Produce building but it's not connected and is it's own space, not to be confused with the restaurants in Pacific Produce. At 1pm on Sunday the dining room was 85% full and people still walking in. A funny thing happened but I'm not going to let it affect my review or stars and is for information only. The woman who was clearly management/owner who took my Banh mi order quickly said she was out while the young server next to her qickly corrected her which put her in an awkward spot so she quickly played it off and said let me check with the kitchen, when she came back she says you get the last one. I personally think she didn't want to make me one. The place itself is ok looking and nothing fancy and no means dumpy or dated with cheap cafeteria tables and chairs. The menu has tons of great food but the A11 grilled pork Banh Mi has my name on it, I'm not explaining the sandwich again so look it up if you don't know what it is. WOW this was a well executed/example of a Banh Mi sandwich which looked over stuffed at first sight and good looking, thank you for not skimping on everything like some places do. They used the correct perfect French bread, fresh with that crunchy crust, some place take liberties with the bread and use anything. The grilled pork had a nice sweet grilled flavor that was tender and moist, nice. The fresh toppings were plentiful which was nice, see my pictures. The textures were great with crunchy vs the tender pork. I love how all the flavors play so well with each other, the sweet pork with hot from the jalapeños and the cilantro and toppings kicking in with that great trench bread. Pho viet is a local shop that my mom and I have been been going to. I have to say that on first impression it might not be a place I would go to. Since I have been coming to this shop I really do like it. The ambiance is pretty peaceful. The service is pretty good. The food quality is good every time I go. The restaurant had quite a few people inside and thought that was a good sign for a monday night. We started with egg rolls. They appeared to be cooked to golden perfection however they were barely warm on the inside. Still a tasty starter. The fresh squeezed limeade was to die for! We ordered the grilled pork chop and grilled beef plates. The pork chop was cooked nicely. I would have loved a little more seasoning or flavor to it but the grill on this was perfect.
