The ox tail beef pho is to die for! The wait time isn't bad and you could take a walk the market in the mean time. Plenty of seating near by. Spring rolls were yummy. The pho is smaller than most places but it doesn't lack on flavor at all.

Food: 4.5/5 Service: 5/5 Location: 5/5 Price: 3/5 For a city that is not very diverse, it is hard pressed to find good asian cuisine. But I'm happy to report that this Pho is pretty authentic. As a visitor I came back multiple times just because it is good compared anything else. It looks like they are family fun and it shows. Located in the 3rd St market, it has plenty of seating all around. But as a downside of being in downtown is of course the price is pretty expensive. $20 for a medium sized bowl of pho that would be closer to $13 in a diverse location like on the east coast. I tried their signature MKE pho with the ox tail and with the beef rib. I say go for the beef rib. You get more meat. I also tried their wagyu pho. This we eh. It's basically the same price as their signature but with a lot less meat. The wagyu isn't from Japan but the marbling was still good. But I think wagyu is best enjoyed by itself grill and not in soup. I will say that their broth is a bit sweet. So as much as I love to drink the broth, I just couldn't because it felt like aside from the juices from the cow, they added something else. I also tried their thai iced tea. But it was wayyy too sweet. So my recommendation is get their signature MKE pho with the beef rib.

Yum!! This is one of the many food stalls within Milwaukee's Third St Market Hall which is conveniently attached to the Milwaukee Courtyard Downtown! This is not just a food hall, but there's plenty of games like shuffleboard, wii, and more! There's plenty of self serve seating everywhere. You order with the cashier, then they give you a small shaker device that will vibrate when your order is ready. I got the pho dac biet, which includes beef brisket, rare eye of round, beef meatballs, beef tendon, and beef tripe!! Basically their combo pho. For being in a plastic bowl and in a food hall, I actually loved this! Or maybe I was really hungry... The broth was quite flavorful and adding a dash of lime and their spicy chili garlic paste made it even better! It comes with sriracha, hoisin sauce, and spicy chili garlic oil - but I didn't use any of that lol. Apparently the broth is constructed with 10 hours of brewing minimum, so the flavors are rich. I love the generosity with the many different types of beef, and the raw bean sprouts added such a nice crunch.

$20 for a bowl of pho? I guess it's the price you pay if you're traveling and just want something easy on the stomach. We got it to-go and ate in our hotel. The broth stays warm enough as a soup but not hot enough to cook the raw meat if you're serving to a kid. The serving is kinda small to me but it worked out because I wasn't too hungry that night. The broth is on the salty side. I added more water but still left feeling super thirsty the rest of night. It wasn't the greatest broth, but it wasn't the worst, but it was definitely salty. The guy working there is solo but still managed to be friendly to customers though, so can't get too mad about it.

Rib pho was excellent. There were meatballs and brisket as well. The portion size was typical however at $18, it was pricier than other pho places in the Milwaukee area. The location in 3rd St. Market Hall is convenient since there are many other food options available.

Delicious pho, as authentic as you can get from a market. This place deserves more 5stat reviews. It comes with condiments like fresh basil, bean sprouts, sate chili oil, siracha, & hoisin. We got the pho dac biet (special combo pho). Will be back for more when we are in the area. Bottled water is only $1.50!

Very flavorful Bahn Mi. Bread was soft and held up well. The pork and vegetables were flavored perfectly. The service at the counter was fast and friendly. We took our food and found chairs near the self serve beer wall to enjoy this beautiful sandwich.

I eat a lot of Pho and this is some of the best. Oxtail is perfectly cooked. Presentation is spot on. For a food court, this Pho is as good as it gets.

Inside the 3rd st. Market Hall. The staff was friendly, helpful and welcoming. The noodles and broth were amazing. Didn't have to wait a long time to get the food. Very yummy.

Most of those spots only open for dinner, so I was thrilled to find that Bavette La Boucherie now serves lunch. My friend, a local, told me the restaurant originally began as a butcher shop. While that's no longer the case, the space still pays tribute to its roots -- shelves lined with kitchen knick-knacks, butcher-block counters, and a display of local provisions that hint at its past. Chef-owner Karen Bell leads the way here, and you can feel her touch throughout -- from the creative menu to the casual-elegant vibe. The décor blends exposed brick and warm wood with soft light and a friendly hum from the open kitchen. Our server, Matthew R., had only been with Bavette a couple of weeks, but his background in restaurant management showed. He was knowledgeable, attentive, and offered great suggestions. Before our sandwiches arrived, we shared a cup of pork and tomatillo pozole topped with cabbage slaw and a dollop of sour cream. It was piping hot, bright, and deeply flavorful -- the kind of starter that makes you stop talking for a minute just to enjoy the next spoonful. Having read rave reviews of the Korean steak au jus, I nearly ordered it, but Matthew suggested the roast-beef with cheddar since I'm not a big lunch eater. Excellent call. The sandwich was divine -- tender, flavorful beef layered with melted cheddar on a crisp, perfectly toasted roll. The beef-fat fries had great depth of flavor, though I'd love them even more if they were twice-cooked for that extra crunch. Being more of a gin or vodka drinker, I couldn't resist the Gin Old Fashioned on the cocktail list. It was delicious -- smooth, aromatic, and balanced enough that I happily ordered a second. Great food, warm service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Bavette La Boucherie is a gem I can't wait to revisit.

I am still thinking about them and genuinely wish I could figure out how to recreate them at home. TikTok actually delivered on this one. Very happy we ended up going.

We have been to a lot of markets: Cleveland, Detroit, Charleston, Cincinnati, we lived a few blocks away from Reading in Philly for two years. But best market in the US? That's a different league. Ironically it is literally the smallest market of them all. It's almost comforting because there aren't that many things to choose from. But, disappointing at the same time. There was a lovely souvenir spot. Very small but it has some cute shit. I got a shirt. GF got a sweatshirt. We then got coffee. There was a long line. That felt like a good sign. I got the nutty pedestrian which was good. GF got a frosty something. As a whore for anything mint flavored, I was expecting this to knock it out of the park but it wasn't as minty or as sweet as I would have preferred. Next, we went for the candy place and bakery. I was disappointed to not see one Kringle in this place. Oh well. The gigantic cookies would have to suffice. We got regular chocolate chip, oatmeal chocolate chip, and a Wisconsin something or other. The Wisconsin something or other had like walnuts, craisins, and chocolate chips. Delicious. The standard chocolate chip was fantastic as well. The candy was really good too. Finally, we topped everything off with empanadas which were spectacular. I reviewed that separately. Surprisingly small but a lot of value squeezed into the square footage.

I got the grilled pork banh mi with a cup of broth (~1/2 quart, $5) with a Vietnamese iced coffee. Sandwich was good, but it wasn't very big for $10. The broth was pretty sweet instead of savory and likely already pre-seasoned with hoisin. In terms of service, I had placed my order first. Sandwich with the coffee. My partner said he'll have the same thing. I confirmed to make sure that was also including the ice coffee, and the person that took our order said yes.
