I randomly came in after the nearby Country Waffles was packed--not that I need any excuse to enjoy a bowl of Pho! It was my first time trying this spot, and I appreciated the large dining space, and menu choices from appetizers, to different kinds of soup, and of course delicious drinks! Myself and my party were seated rather fast, after waiting (with a couple parties ahead of us) for about 5 minutes. The house was *full*. Could it be a sign of how delicious the food was going to be? I definitely thought so--the smell of Pho broth already told me that though. I ordered combo beef pho and a Thai tea, my favorite combo when eating Pho. Immediately, I noticed how sweet the Pho broth leaned, which I didn't mind. It definitely wasn't as strong in terms of beefiness and aromatics, compared to other Pho places I've tried in the East Bay. Pho, spring rolls, and fried calamari was very good. For an XL Bowl of Pho the price was pretty worth it! They had the perfect meat to noodle ratio and the broth was very rich and no to oily. We also got their banh mi but it had no flavor. Not sure if they forgot to add salt or something but it was very very bland. If they can fix their banh mi then it would be great! We used to come here all the time. I remember the portions being bigger! The prices used to be cheaper. You only get a little bit now foe a big price. I was kind of disappointed. The quality wasn't as good either. I remember the soup coming out steaming hot. It was just lukewarm. I was disappointed. I wanted to cry! Pho Dublin opened in the same space as the former (and highly rated and respected) Pho Saigon. This happened earlier this year. Pho Saigon relocated to Pleasanton. Pho Dublin kept the same basic menu but added Banh Mi, the traditional Vietnamese sandwich, along with some additional appetizers and some special dishes like Shaken Beef. Food: We did a takeout order of 2 Grilled Chicken Vermicelli Bowls @ $13.95, each. It was good but not as good as the same dish from the previous operator. Also, the portions are smaller than previous. The Grilled Chicken was tasty and fresh. The difference, I believe, is the Nuoc Cham Fish Sauce, served on the side. It seems to be a bit watered down or, at least, not as strong in flavor. Price: About the same after the prices went up due to the Pandemic and as a result of the delivery services like Uber Eats, Grub Hub and others adding delivery charges to the restaurant menus. Service: The staff is younger than before and are more friendly and have better English language skills. Ambiance: No change. The interior looks about the same as before except for the addition of a large screen TV mounted on one wall. Bottom Line: We may go back because it is fairly close to our house. However, when Pho Saigon reopens in Pleasanton (they suffered a fire that closed that business down shortly after they opened the new location, we'll likely go there for Beef noodle Soups, Vermicelli Bowl and all the other dishes they had on the menu. This restaurant is located in a plaza with tons of parking. From what I heard, this owner took over the restaurant earlier this year. The service is really good and the servers are very friendly. We ordered the combination pho, grilled chicken rice, and banh mi to-go. Their pho was pretty good and the broth had good flavor and it's not greasy. The pho comes in size LARGE or XL. I was able to finish the LARGE myself so I would say that's equivalent to a small/medium. The grilled chicken rice at Pho Dublin is better than the one at Pho Sam. Food: The broth was delicious, and the steak was lean and flavorful. The steak was delicious, clean, and perfectly prepared. It was a flavorful to eat the broth. The tables and restrooms had been thoroughly cleaned. The food is generously portioned. That XL bowl was gone before I knew it. Calamari crisps and grilled pork rice were also on the menu for us. Both of them are excellent. After placing an order, the food was delivered within 5 to 10 minutes. Super fast! Service: service is adequate, but not exceptional. I saw new people on each of the visits. In the beginning, a new employee kept forgetting about our order, and he kept coming back to ask for it once more (even after he put in the machine). For the children, we requested a few small bowls, but he kept forgetting, so we had to ask a second time. Well I'll keep this brief...teetering between 2.5 stars Came here last minute for a quick dinner out, it was a little under an hour until closing. But we meant to eat quickly so no worries. Parking is minimal near the restaurant because it's in a small plaza with other restaurants. But there is parking you just might have to park slightly farther. Service was mediocre at best we weren't welcomed and were sat away from the rest of the crowd near the bathrooms, there were plenty of other seats and guests that came after us were sat with the rest of the patrons. Yeah, for my meal Ted folks you understand the vibes (unfortunately). The food wasn't that great partially because I already had a bad taste in my mouth from the service. I got the fried chicken over garlic noodles. Honestly, I could have done without it. I will say there was one lady at the end who was friendly and helpful, but that's it. Feeling a little under the weather today, so I was craving soup. Grabbed the phone and turned to Yelp! to find something close to me for quick relief. Found Pho Dublin was right around the corner from my hotel. As I approach Pho Dublin, I realized it was a place I used to go to when I used to live in the area, but the name has changed so I assume the management did also. Walked in, sat right away, took order which was Thai Ice Tea and Seafood combo pho. Drink came out quickly and soup followed soon after. Lots of customers and lots of take away orders coming and going. Ambience was nice and busy. With pho, for me, it's all in the broth. Having grown up in the East Bay Area, CA, I've had some really great Vietnamese food and that's why I feel the broth is the key to pho. Dip the spoon in and take a slurp. It's good! It was a little sweeter than I am used too, it's not super sweet, but had a sweet finish to it. Still delicious. Seafood combo was fish balls, Krab with a "K" as we call it, fish cake, squid chunks and shrimp, you're typical seafood combo ingredients. Just what I wanted. Noodles were good too. Fresh sides included cilantro, sprouts, jalapeño and lime wedge. I added all the ingredients and squeezed the lime over the top, then dug right in. I jumped in so quickly, I forgot to take a picture until I was halfway through the bowl, so forgive the sloppiness of the picture lol. Thai Ice Tea is one of my faves and it hit the spot. Even grabbed one to go since I downed that pretty quickly too. I had the vegetarian pho and my gf had the chicken pho. I love the quality of their noodle, it was perfectly cooked. I hate it when noodles are over cooked. & They gave a good amount of noodles, which I love because I hate it when there's barely any noodles and it just all broth. All the vegetables were nice and fresh! The broth was REALLY flavorful My gf had a lot of chicken in her pho as well as a good amount of noodles. She really liked her pho. The chili oil is FRESH and perfectly spicy! You can tell it is homemade !!
