Came here on a whim with my sister for lunch and we loved pretty much everything! This place is centrally located right by the freeway and super easy to find. We just googled pho near us and took a chance on this restaurant and we've been back 3 times since! The service is quick and simple, they work fast and maintain a clean environment for everyone! The staff is very friendly and will help you with any questions you may have. Everything is provided at the table, napkins, condiments, utensils etc. we've tried the fresh spring rolls, fried chicken wings rice plates and of course their pho. Everything is absolutely delicious! Not overly sweet, not salty or greasy. It's a lot more hearty than other pho restaurants I've tried! I love the consistency and thickness of the broth, very well done! Everything tastes super fresh and their peanut sauce is delicious! The chicken wings are always on point too!! The only thing is, and I've seen this with a lot of restaurants after COVID, they don't have soy sauce. They offer seasoning sauce which taste completely different and is a sauce my family and I arent too fond of so if you ever need actual soy sauce, we normally ask the staff for some Togo soy sauce packets. I decided to come here because they have Banh Xeo. I've been looking for this dish ever since I had it at a Vietnamese restaurant in San Francisco. I've tried 2 other places in the TriValley area and another place in SF. Pho Saigon was the 4th place I've tried. Wow!!! Probably the best one I've had - even better than the ones in SF. It was crispy and thick filled with pork, tofu (subbed for shrimp) and fresh bean sprouts. They gave me a lot of big lettuce leaves and mint leaves. I was very pleased! Visited this restaurant on a Friday afternoon for lunch and it wasn't busy. They have a lot of menu options to choose from, i opted for the hu tieu seafood pho, bahn xeo, & egg rolls. The sauce they provided for the eggs rolls was delicious it was like a less spicy version of crack sauce. The bahn xeo was crispy and packed with beansprouts and shrimp and pork and it was super delicious I'd recommend this! The seafood pho however the broth was really bland the house made chili oil on the counter made it taste better but was disappointed. Giving back a 5 star now that the ownership has changed and both experience of my recent visits, dining in and take out orders were really good! The last dine in service was excellent. Server were attentive and food was up to par with some of the pho restaurants I tried. My recent take out order was the crab meat tomato base soup w pho and curry chicken pho along with shrimp/pork rice paper roll and tri color drink. Highly recommend all of the above. I ordered takeout from Pho Saigon and had their bun bo hue with short rib along with the fried fish cake. Both were really delicious. The short rib was tender and flavorful. The fried fish cake was a great side that paired well with the meal. My only small note is that I thought the bun bo hue broth could have used a little more shrimp paste for a deeper, more authentic kick of flavor. Still I really enjoyed everything overall. Dined in today as I think I have tried almost every pho restaurant in Pleasanton- but I saw that I haven't tried this place yet! Inside is pretty spacious, and we came in around mid-day so there was only one other table dining as well. Saw the pictures of food on Yelp and they all looked delicious! My boyfriend and I both got the vermicelli noodles and we shared spring rolls and chicken wings. The food was pretty good and I especially liked the spring rolls! Since it wasn't busy the staff were sitting down and chatting to each other. The best thing however was the Vietnamese coffee! Met my friend here for dinner. She loves eating at this spot. Lots of parking in the plaza it's located in and the place has ample seating. Now I've been raised by pho all throughout San Jose and I have yet to come across any spot close to the quality and taste of the ones in San Jose. Maybe one. It's too hot to try their pho so I decided on something else. My friend had a rice plate and I tried their crispy crepe. My friend also had fried egg rolls which I find a bit bland. Of course my friend enjoyed her dish cause it's her usual grilled pork and fried chicken wings. The crepe was okay. I liked it. I really was in the mood for banh cuon but not many pho spots including this one serves it. They have good service as they do check on you occasionally. Just not a fan of feeling rushed to order. After all the holiday eating, my husband and I were in the mood for something Asian. We decided on the crispy Vietnamese savory crepe and the Garlic noodles with pork. In general, I am not a big bean sprouts fan but really enjoyed the crepe. The bean sprouts were fresh and the crepe was really light and crunchy though it could have used a little more shrimp. I took my food to go, so I can't comment on dining in, but the staff I interacted with were all friendly, pleasant, and helpful. For a single person, I think the banh mi ($9.50) is a good size, but to be honest, I'm used to banh mi that are a little larger and this one felt and looked quite small in comparison. Service is TRASH!! The food is good, which is why I gave it 2 stars. Otherwise, I would've given it 1 or none cause the service was soooooo terrible. My family felt so unwelcome and was not acknowledged whatsoever. We walked in and were immediately seated as there were ONLY 5 tables of guest. As I was confused why she sat us, then sat the couple behind us 5-7 minutes after yet decides to ask what they would like to order first -__- Anyways, our order was taken after grabbing her attention so I was hoping that was a 1 off incident so I'd let it go but NOPE... I ordered #18 (BBH with Oxtail) for myself and 4 bites into it, I found a long hair wrapped around an oxtail!! I raised my hand politely for her to let the same young lady know. She took the bowl from my table and says she'll take a look. No apologies at all. She took it to another worker and they began inspecting the hair at the table before she took it back into the kitchen. Strike 2!!! Shortly after, they brought a new bowl out for me but no condiments, no herbs, lime or jalepeno... so again I had to wave my hand to ask her for it. She game back with only cabbage and herb but no lime or jalepeno At this point, I said forget it, I'll just deal with it and eat it as it was my first meal of the day at 2pm and was starving. What ticked me off to proceed with this review was the end, STRIKE 3!!! We were treated SOOOO UNFAIRLY. We sat there after our meal for 5-10 minute and no one acknowledges us.. my mom walks to the front counter to ask for the check, the young lady hands her the check, and my mom goes back to the table with it. We sat there for 5 minutes and no one comes to acknowledge again, so my sister decided to approach the young lady again and says we have the check ready, she then asked my sister to follow her to the front counter to make the payment. The payment was done and my sister leaves to the restroom before we head out. A few minutes later, she walks over to the table next to us with a payment machine, and I allowed the man see it next to us to make the payment at his table! Why was that option not given to us?? Why were we not acknowledged!! SOOOO INFURIATING. This girl need to work on her customer service. This reason, I would never come back and would not recommend to any family or friends. Customer service was wonderful. Appetizers especially the spring roll was delicious it had a crunch in there from crispy egg roll wrapper that made it crunchy and I was pleasantly surprised. My kids love shrimp rolls too and those didn't last. Oxtail pho and rib pho was the reason we chose this place on a cold day after playing sports. Although it's not my favorite spot the oxtail could've been more tender it wasn't fall off the bone tender and the soup lacked flavor, too bland. I felt like I had to add so much spice to doctor it up and I never add seasoning sauce to mine but I did here. Wouldn't come back for the soup but would come back for appetizers and customer service. Decent Vietnamese food in Pleasanton - we were especially impressed by the appetizers. My wife and I stopped by for a quick lunch and were only the second customers there. The décor was nice - I especially liked the giant mural along the wall. We ordered Thai iced tea and Vietnamese iced coffee, then looked at the menu. We ordered the bánh mì (Vietnamese sandwich with chicken) and bì cuôn (fresh spring rolls with shredded pork skin) appetizers as recommended by our knowledgeable server, and decided to share the mì quang lunch special (rice noodle with chicken, shrimp and egg). The food didn't take long. The spring rolls were deliciously fresh and crunchy, and the taste improved when they were dipped in the sauce. An excellent appetizer option for the low-carb customer. At the other end of the carb spectrum, the sandwich was equally satisfying, though I had a couple more jalapeño slices in my half than I wanted! We were quite full by this time, and couldn't do justice to the noodle bowl - most of it was packed to go. Total bill (after tax and tip) was a little over $60, which is a bit expensive for lunch, but justifiable given the food authenticity and quality. Will be back. read more

Well over the past few weeks when I order DoorDash they skimp on everything including the noodles which are cheap as heck. I order a large 27 which is $1.50 more. Lol just look at the pictures!!! Another great visit to Pho Saigon! They recently remodeled so everything is fairly new and they have new menus. I ordered the banh xeo, shrimp rolls, and an ice Vietnamese coffee. Everything was so fresh and delicious! The coffee was strong and not watered down. I've never had banh xeo before and there's not a lot of Vietnamese restaurants that offer it so I was so glad I saw it on the menu. Always had good food here. Service here is excellent, the older lady that always seats me and my wife always is very helpful. My wife likes this place the best and the food flavors reminds her of her childhood in Vietnam. Portion sizes are always filling.
