Came for dinner after seeing 10% discount for the month. Got a large house special. Came with a good amount of meat and noodles, and the broth had a nice subtle flavour. Definitely one of the better pho places in the neighbourhood.

A welcome addition to the neighbourhood for sure. We did need a good Vietnamese restaurant and this just made a lot of sense. I live right beside the restaurant (like, right beside) so this will likely be a regular spot for me going forward. We tried the Special Pho and a chicken dish that I cannot remember the name of anymore. I thought the pho was very good, I definitely recommend - the broth was very tasty and the portion was a good and reasonable size that I completely finished as one person. The chicken was good but I probably would get a grilled meat dish next time instead. The one qualm I have is that the prices are pretty high. I think my small pho was $17 or so. In my opinion, that is a steep price point for the size. Either I would expect a lower price point or a larger portion. I know they have a larger size but $17 is already pretty expensive compared to other restaurants that serve pho. I know I have my minor complaints but the restaurant seems to be absolutely thriving on evenings when I walk by - so maybe it's just me! And I will be back regardless, since the taste and quality is better than other places in the area.

I enjoyed their extensive menu and the fact that they had options not easily found in other Vietnamese restaurants. We had the grilled pork wraps and a fish noodle soup, both of which were very delicious. Glad that there is an authentic Viet option on Yonge Street. Just a heads up, when we were there in early summer they did not have a working AC. It gets a little stuffy, but they have industrial fans on full blast to keep the air circulating which makes it bearable.

I'm so glad they're finally open! They have my recent favourite vermicelli soup with fried fish (Bún chả Hải Phòng) and they make it so good here! So fresh with the dill & herbs! I also love their pork vermicelli bowl. Not many options for drinks and appetizer#5 (Steamed Rice Rolled Cake - Banh Cuon) is always not available, but many alternatives to choose from their menu. I'm sure this location is just as good as their Markham Location but if you're looking for pho noods off Yonge Street around the Willowdale area, then this is the place to go!

Came here to order takeout for a weekday lunch. The restaurant was surprisingly full at around 11:45am on a weekday. There were 4-5 parties dining in the restaurant and another couple waiting for take out. I got the grilled pork banh mi. Once I ordered, they told me it would take 15 to 20 mins, which I was a bit surprised since it was just a Vietnamese sandwich. I was hoping it took less time to prepare, but it did take the full 20 mins, so order ahead if you are planning to do take-out. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since they newly open. They are offering a 10% grand opening discount until 11th June. The banh mi tasted great, relatively crispy baguette (I didn't eat it until 20 min later, so it held up nicely!) and had lots of pate. They also gave a side of a brown peppercorn sauce. I'll definitely be back to try their vermicelli and pho!

Very glad that Pho Dac Biet North York location is now open close by where I live so I don't have to go all the way to the Markham location! One of my go to is the no. 59 the noodle with fish, I don't like the round noodle so I ask for the flat pho. The crab noodle is super tasty too. I had it at the other location, they didn't have it today at this new location. Service was nice and friendly. The 10% grand opening special runs from May 24th 2025 to June 11. You can pay by credit card even with this discount! I will be back!

Came here for a quick lunch. Easy to find. There are green P street parking. I ordered the chicken spring roll vermicelli , along with the hot viet drip coffee. It was the best meal ever for me. Viet coffee I was craving for, wonderful with some condensed milk. The vermicelli was great and flavourful, service was awesome too. Decor inside was like the other pho dac biet. Will return!

Food was excellent and service was accommodating. I had beef rib pho and complimentary warm tea. The sauce to go with the beef rib was quite good. I got the rest of the pho to go, as it was a huge serving. It was a bit of a challenge trying to put the contents of the huge bowl into the takeout containers and I imagine other people have this same issue. Will definitely be back. Next time I'd like to try their banh xeo and com sườn bì chả.

They specialize in meat platters where you can create DIY fresh rolls. The platters come with lettuce, mints, vermicelli, rice paper and house special sauce. They also have pho, rice, and vermicelli dishes as well. Washrooms are located downstairs which are not accessible. They only accept cash (with a 10% cash discount) or debit. I previously have had Anh Dao for take out before - their pork sausages (nem nuong) are delicious and perfect when you wrap them with vermicelli and fresh herbs. Even when I got take out, the restaurant gives you plenty of fresh ingredients to create your own fresh rolls. I recently went to Anh Dao for lunch to dine in at the restaurant on a Friday around 12:30pm. The place was pretty quiet as it seemed like I was their first customer that day. During my time there, there was another party of 2 that also came in to eat lunch. I opted for the house special soup pho ($19.95). Service was friendly and my food came at a reasonable time after I ordered. The house special pho included slice rare beef, beef brisket, beef balls, and tripe. The soup was slightly sweet with a nuttier flavour. The noodles were unfortunately not the fresh kind but there were ample beef ingredients in the bowl of pho for the price you are paying. I love how in addition to siracha and hoisin sauce, there is also ground up chili sauce as well as a pickled sliced garlic and jalapeno pepper mixture at the table. Moreover, you get bean spouts, a red chili pepper, fresh herbs, and lime that you can add to your pho broth. Overall, a tasty bowl of pho where the quality of the beef was good. Anh Dao is a tasty option for Vietnamese food in the College and Spadina area. Definitely do try their meat platters as they are quite delicious!

I tried to finish the broth because it was so good. I would have given that first bowl 4 stars! Today was terrible! It just felt like a super water-downed broth that I didn't want to drink. Everything was just boiled and dumped in a water-downed soup base. The least they can do is use broth and dump it in the seafood tomato based soup. This was a 9pm dinner. They had their own family visiting to close up shop at 11. I tried asking them what happened to the broth today but they didn't speak English or just decided not to. It was disappointing for a bowl of $21 + tax noodle that was just pretty bland tonight even though it looked the part.... Sigh 2 stars today but couldn't average it out to 3 because now I remembered the spring rolls from the first visit were soggy Yes they are friendly but don't know if it's a place you should come before 7pm to catch the good broth?

The dry noodle dishes under the green column use egg noodles & those under the brown use rice noodles but the toppings & sauce are the same. The most pricey rice noodles are Japanese but otherwise the difference is width. Got the thin egg noodle version in large. It's recommended to add pickled garlic & red vinegar. The soup was pretty tasty with a natural sweetness, 2 springy half fishballs & a large, very fresh shrimp. The sauce was basically oyster sauce but pickled garlic, red vinegar, hoi sin & chili sauce were available to add complexity. The noodles weren't wet but were not dry either. Large was a very big bowl it came with minced pork, thin sliced pork beansprouts & greens. The pickled garlic was good. Also got a shrimp fritter on the side for $2.50. It was big with one tiny shrimp. The juxtaposition was comical but it was cheap. It was not warm but the fritter was crispy & tasty. Unfortunately the shrimp itself was dry & brittle. Service was good, especially for an Asian place.

The Dry Pho with Spiced Beef was definitely a standout, the beef was super tender, and I liked that it came with a bowl of clear broth on the side, though it was a little salty for me. The Pho Poutine with Fries was so satisfying, loaded with beef, rich sauce, and cheese. We also tried the Betal Leaf Wrapped Beef, and having it wrapped like a taco was surprisingly delicious. My favorite might have been the Fried Spring Rolls though, so crispy on the outside, with a generous and tasty filling.
