Ordered their House Special Pho (Small), Fresh Rolls with Shrimp and Vietnamese Iced Coffee. Food arrived in a timely manner and made fresh to order. Loved the setup of the Vietnamese Iced Coffee and taste was A-OK! The pho was delicious as expected with a flavourful broth and not overly salty. Overall, I'd like to put this on the list as one of the Vietnamese restaurants I'd like to try again. The restaurant was clean and well stocked at the table with utensils/napkins/chili oil/sauces. Came here this evening with my good friend and I was super excited to try it considering the very high reviews on Google. I got the com tam with the grilled pork and egg loaf. Unlike other Viet restaurants they don't serve their com tam with a broth/soup so I was disappointed about that. The portion of the meat was generous and there was a good amount of rice. I would have preferred more veg and fish sauce to balance out the rest of the dish. I'd say it was good but I had better. I think Madame Saigon is a quite popular restaurant around here as the lines for a table were consistently long. We didn't get a booth seat and they were more uncomfortable especially because I felt people who were waiting for a table staring so I tried to rush my meal(!!) which made me feel super full. Food: 4 Stars Service: 3.5 Stars Ambience: 4 Stars Fill Factor: Filling I am a big fan of Vietnamese cuisine so when I saw this place I just had to stop to try it. The short version is that the food is solid and definitely will satisfy that Vietnamese cuisine craving. I walked in here during a busy afternoon but was promptly seated. Unfortunately this prompt service did not continue once I was seated as they ended up forgetting about giving me a menu and taking my order for quite a long time. Not a big deal but definitely not a great first impression. Aside from that service was good and the food came super quick so a plus on that end. I ordered the rice with grilled pork chop, grilled chicken and steamed egg which is my go to whenever I visit a new Vietnamese restaurant. The grilled chicken was done very well as the meat was tender and juicy. The rest of the dish was also good and the fish sauce (which is important) was flavourful though I wish they gave me more. One thing that was missing from this dish that other places usually have is shredded pork which I missed this time so just a heads up it is not an option. I have also visited a subsequent time and ordered the spicy beef noodle soup (bun bo hue). I am usually not a big fan of soup noodles but man this one was so good. The soup was so flavourful and spicy and there were a ton of meat and noodles so you are not just drinking liquid to fill up (unlike a certain other restaurant I was at). Absolutely recommend this if you are into noodles and spice. The restaurant is big, bright and clean with a rickshaw right at the entrance when you walk in. There is plenty of seating so the wait is not that long even if you happen to come here during peak hours. If you like Vietnamese food and are in the area this is a great choice as the food is good and the service solid. Actually even if you are not into Vietnamese food give it a try still as this place might change your mind. read more

Had to give this place 5 stars... I've been waiting a long time for a really good satay pho spot in central Toronto. When it comes to good spicy (satay) pho in the GTA, I'd say this spot likely makes my top 5. My top 3, in no particular order, is comprised of Pho Metro (Warden & Lawrence), Nam (Leslie & 16th) and Pho Com Tam (Pape & Gerrard)... While I can't say that this spot displaces one of those... I would put it in the league of Pho Linh (Dufferin & College), which I also find vies for one of those top 3 positions in my mind.. I love the ingredients.. very few places give pineapples in the satay broth so it's always a treat when I get that.. (Pho Com Tam also does this). The meat was delicious and abundant, the veggies were plentiful and the noodles were as good as these noodles could get (personally I love them lol). Have already gone twice, will definitely go again when my craving hits to/from downtown, and would easily recommend others to try it at least once. I have only ordered for delivery from this restaurant (through UberEats) but I'm really impressed with the taste and quality of the food here. Gone are the days when you could get really cheap eats but that goes for everywhere, so unless something happens to reduce food costs, we have to pony up more. The spring rolls and fresh rolls here are on the smaller side, but they are delicious. I usually order the house Pho but I'm not a fan of the texture of tripe so lately I've been getting the rare beef and brisket version. Either way, the broth is really flavourful and they give you all the usual accompaniments like bean sprouts, basil, and lime as well as hoisin and hot sauce. I've also ordered combo dishes like the grilled pork and sausage over vermicelli noodles, which is very filling. Great addition to Midtown Yonge (Yonge south of Eglinton). The menu items are pretty well priced (pho for $12-15) considering the pricing of other Vietnamese restaurants in the GTA. Pho broth is very flavourful and the portions are generous. I typically order P5 - pho with rare beef and beef brisket. Have also tried the vermicelli and banh mi here, both solid. Nonetheless, the soup tasted very clean and refreshing, the noodles were delicious, and the portions were generous. I was also rather surprised by the meat in the chicken pho as it was not dry at all and indeed one of the best I've had at a Vietnamese restaurant (which usually focuses mainly on their beef cuts in pho). The area was sorely needing a Vietnamese restaurant, and Pho Madame Saigon has delivered! We got the Madame Saigon Street Platter for 2-4 people and it came with veggies, rice noodles, a variety of meats, spring rolls, and a side of rice paper wraps so you can make your own wraps with all the toppings. There were 8 wraps in total and definitely more meat and fillings than you could fit inside. It was a ton of food and amazing value at only $29.50. Everything tasted great. I finished the entire platter with my very hungry boyfriend, but this could easily feed 3 I think. I can't wait to be back to try the rest of their menu, this will definitely become a regular spot for me. read more

Decorations are planty and cute. It's a comfy setting with mainly booths. The air is aromatic with the smell of pho and it leaves you longing for a taste. It's not very busy around a typically busy lunch hour around 12:30. Server led us to our seat immediately. I ordered coconut juice as my drink and it came with fresh coconut inside. It was DELICIOUS. I hope I can find a drink like this when I go back home to America. It had the perfect amount of light sweetness, not too much or little, and a hint of vanilla ( I think) and there's no after taste lingering in your mouth like usual sweet drinks. Appetizers came around the same time as main food as the food in general didn't really take long to arrive. EVERYTHING was fresh and warm. None of the dishes tasted like it was loaded with oil or msg, so we didn't feel like crap after stuffing ourselves. Also, the flavors weren't strong, yet they shared the perfect amount taste. Flavors were all well balanced. Honorable mentions: We already talked about the coconut juice that came from heaven. Chicken wings and soft shell crab were crispy yet soft inside and melted in your mouth. Beef tenderloin fried rice was also very soft and comforting. Overall, I loved how none of the dishes exploded with overbearing /overwhelming flavors. All I have to say is that the servings are GIGANTIC. Like I'm talking sharing size. Make sure you have a friend or a partner to eat with so you aren't left with a ton of food waste or leftovers. All in all, this is the one of the best- if not, the best restaurant on our trip so far and we are all very satisfied. Madame Saigon hit a 5 star across the board. read more

Spotted this new pho restaurant in midtown toronto in the last few weeks and came by to try lunch today. Wow! I love the small front sidewalk patio option. The restaurant has an expansive spacious interior and nicely decorated front foyer area that tells you we're not in your typical pho restaurant and I'm so glad! Menu has all the favourites and some Saigon style dishes. Service is fast and efficient. Today we tried the chicken pho extra large, spring roll and salad roll with grilled chicken. The pho is delicious and has a lot of toppings. Both the spring rolls and salad roll had the perfect balance of filling to wrapper. Salt and msg level high but as expected. We were here last week for the soft opening, Yonge street location is new. They have a Scarborough location which I don't think I've been. There were some tables, maybe 5? And only one other table was eating at the same time as us. We didn't know about this place until someone posted about passing it in a local group and decided to try it out. We were missing good pho in the area after pho king fabulous left us. All other pho we tried was mediocre. This one was good and tasty. The broth was strongly flavoured, the noodles were the perfect consistency and not too soft. I recommend it! They don't need reservations for under 6 people. I got the bun Bo hue and it was spicy for me but not intolerable. I like that the noodles are the round type but next time I'll try a different dish. We couldn't finish the broth in this one due to how spicy it was. Others in my party enjoyed their food too. We didn't have to wait long for our food to be served. They served us water with a slice of lemon in it. And tea in a bottle to pour. Extra water was in a bottle too. read more

Absolutely amazing viet flavours! Madame Saigon has a full delicious menu of many classic Vietnamese fan favourites, as well as some other incredible dishes. Pictured are the bun bo hue and the Cambodian noodle soup - the beef soup comes with the dry version of the Cambodian noodle soup. The noodles were cooked perfectly, meat was well seasoned, and the soups were full of flavour. The bun bo hue is definitely a bit spicy but very worth the slight pain. The restaurant is quite roomy and comfortable. Coupled with the quick service and fantastic food, Madame Saigon will keep you coming back for more! read more

Every restaurant in our area even Yonge N. of Eglinton just doesn't serve good pho soup, so we weren't expecting much but had hope! We ordered fresh spring rolls, which were ok, a bit on the small size and a large pho soup to share. The soup arrived without side soup dishes to share, we waited to for her to return as she had left the room. We finally catch her attention, asked for side bowl, she returns with these tiny bowls, think 2 sizes larger than a traditional Asia tea cup, good grief. We asked for larger bowl, she muttered under her breath and walked away. Our soup was getting cold so we decided to begin. Good grief!!!! It was like dish water, what the heck! Worse Pho soup or any type of soup anyone could have been served. The amount of noodles was similar to the amount for a small order, the balance ingredients were not much better, very skimpy. We asked for the raw beef on the side, why order raw beef in the soup considering it becomes over cooked and tough...tip for those that genuinely like their beef raw/medium, dip, swirl and enjoy each piece of beef when on the side ;)). Raw beef was into, mmm tough beef with flavours water broth. First time, couldn't wait to learn a restaurant!
