Great service, great food, great price! I will be back as a regular anytime I am anywhere near Carrollton. We had the lemongrass chicken which was perfectly spiced and succulent and just to die for! Vietnamese egg rolls were addictive, and the fried calamari entree with onions and jalapeños was fresh, perfectly spiced and a delicious compliment to our chicken dish. Overall a perfect meal in a laid back, clean setting in a very welcoming, family-owned, friendly restaurant. We will be back often. read more

I eat outside a lot and random restaurants bc i like try put new places but if there's a zero star to pick i will give them zero . Boyfriend and I came in there were only two tables , each table have one customer there were two waiters. But lack of customer service .. everyone gather to one table chit chat with other customer I guessed its their friend or regular . We came in no water .. they took my ordered came out wrong .. i ordered Grilled pork with rice .. pork was super over cooked that so dried .. if i throw it on the table maybe it will bounce up .. my boyfriend ordered Pho .. broth super salty..owner keep giving us a look that is not friendly.. Small yet old fashioned. Pho bistro is not your classic run off the mill family restaurant. It is true to its Vietnamese food culture and it's family. In love everything about it from the food to the employees. Once you go to this pho restaurant, you can't go back to any ordinary Vietnamese restaurant. I've been going there since high school with my dad. Every time I go there and sit myself down, the family that works there cheerfully greets me and asks if I want my usual immediately. I always say yes. My usual is crab Rangoons and a pork cutlet dish with a fried egg and an egg roll btw. I also love how my dad has been going there longer than me and the restaurant still doesn't know his usual. I'm in college now and don't visit as frequent, but when I do I can always count on them to give me a warm dish and a welcome back as if I were supposed to be family. read more

The spring rolls are awesome. The number 54 is great. The chicken curry is great too. The best thing about this place may be the staff itself, but the food and atmosphere are really awesome. Smoothie drinks are awesome too. They also will make substitutions on anything or serve only entrees, whatever you ask for. Comfortable and very friendly. When it comes to pho, there is a long list to rummage through to search for that one spot that serves your tummy well and at the same time getting good service by some of the nicest people, and this my friend is the place to go to! I know I promised this review to my fellow employees at bistro but I just have no excuse or reason why this review never came sooner so here goes my recommendation to my friends!! Egg rolls are always fresh and good and if you want to choose from the other parts of the menu they do serve rice plates and other things that might excite or give you another reason to come back for some more or maybe to just visit the nice hospitality that the girls give you, either way why don't you just stop by to try this place out for yourself!! ps. Their pho does not have all that mess of grease inside their pho so you might not be used to it but later after a couple of visits you will understand that this place of business does care for your health and it actually tastes better without all of the unnecessary grease! read more

We'll be back. I think I've had Vietnamese pho or bún a total of about 5 times ever and this was one of the best. My partner is still unsure about the whole cuisine, but found something on the menu that pleased him enough to warrant wanting to come back. I got the bún with grilled pork and egg roll. If you've never had bún, it's basically a hybrid of a green salad and noodles with whatever protein you like. The ingredients were all fresh and the flavors were light and crisp. While the size of the bowl seems intimidating when delivered, it's really just right once you dig in. My partner got a beef stir fry from the "signature items" section that was delivered on a sizzling hot plate making it seem more like fajitas with the ingredients cut and seasoned differently. They serve bubble tea in about a dozen flavors. I tried the lychee and it was pleasant, although I wasn't able to get many bubbles before finishing the tea. One thing that caught my eye was that all the serving dishes were personalized for "Pho Bistro." I thought it was a nice touch that they weren't using ordinary china. I saw business cards at the register with the restaurant's URL, but when I tried to go check it today, it appears they've lost control of the domain. It's turned into a parking spot for keywords. Exterior : Simple design and overhead is the name in white letters in an interesting font. Parking space is small unless you take up other stores parking space. Convenient location in the front and has its name on the sign. Interior : Very simple and traditional, added with several tv's. Menu : Menu had vietnamese and english words. Plenty of choices to make, didnt have an overwhelming list. (+1 for indecisive people like myself) Ordering : I got noodles with seafood special and waited for about 2-3mins before my food came out. Taste test: The soup was tasty, I ordered half noodles and half glass noodles, well proportioned out, my only problem was the condiments were way too soft, like soggy, it broke off easily. Went there today after church because we didnt feel like driving out to Richardson for viet food or dim sum, so we went down the street to Pho Bistro. Our server was friendly, the food came out super fast. I tasted the pho and it was good, however I ordered cha gio and the grilled beef lemongrass. Was very disappointed because it was not grilled and the egg rolls were so greasy, and I mean greasy. Please dont tell me that Im to expect that it's suppose to be greasy because it's fried spring rolls but this was just greasy to the point where the inside was soggy. Not crispy spring rolls but soggy spring rolls. They accept credit cards and cash, parking is in the shopping lot, groups and family with kids friendly. This is a decent vietnamese place for the north Dallas suburbs. The staff appear to be vietnamese. I'd say that Pho is NOT their strong point. The broth tastes kinda "fake" to me.....more like chicken bouillon or chicken flavored Ramen broth (the cheap kind you get at walmart for like 10 cents a pack, not the good kind of Ramen you get at Asian grocery stores/restaurants). Large portions, good prices, very filling. Other vietnamese dishes, like vermacelli bowls were better. They have bubble tea, but I was too full to try one. I'd say this is good if you are in the area and are looking for Vietnamese food, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come to this place. There are better options not too far away. read more

Pho Bistro has been one of my favorite Pho restaurants! Lately, I have been disappointed with their quality of food and especially with their service. Like many Asian establishments, the service attempts to rush you through the ordering process without being willing to explain their menu or listen fully to your order. In addition, the quality of the vegetables and meat has diminished as of late. The meat that they have been including with their soups especially the well done flank is grainy and tough and the vegetables that are included have been wilted and on the verge of spoiling. Every time I come in to the restaurant to pick up an order, all I see at the center table is the owner and his family eating and drinking alcohol which I feel is not good for the reputation of any business. That aside, the most important part of any restaurant is quality food and quality service. These areas need serious improvement or I feel they will continue to receive negative comments.... and ultimately decline! Please take heed and make the necessary changes soon! read more

Dear owner, Nice try. Yeah you can definitely eat, but you were eating a FEAST next to customers when you are supposed to be serving customers. That goes against Basic Restaurant etiquette. I was a server before so I know that ish isn't right. Question: Who is serving the customers if you are all eating as a family? Answer: NO ONE! It's one thing to eat and then attend to the restaurant, but you did not even do that. You have to add GREASE to your Pho to make it taste good? Gross. read more

This is mediocre pho, but it is IMO the best in [this part of] Carrollton so you take what you can get. There are at least 4 pho spots in Carrollton that I tried and they are all substandard compared to areas with larger VN populations (looking at you, Richardson!). The staff is attentive and fun; I understand it is a family business and they have opened another one in Lewisville or somewhere like that. Stopped here when we were on Dallas. Had the vermicelli noodles and sliced pork. Food was not great. The noodles were cold and the pork was fatty. I didn't like the way they put the noodles on top of the salad. Maybe it was meant for putting into hot broth. Come to Houston if you want good pho. read more

This has to be the absolutely worst Vietnamese restaurant in the Metroplex!!! I was served spoiled squid today at Pho Bistro. It was so bad I had to spit it out!!!! When I asked the woman how old was the squid, she stated it was new. Another guy chimes in that he's been serving it all day and no complaints. I asked for the check and left. I really like this spot. I have to say though, i have had Vietnamese food in other locations that was really good, this place is my favorite. I think what makes this a four-star joint is the combination of location, staff, atmosphere, food and drinks. Some being 3 stars and some being 5 stars. One thing that is hands down 5 stars is the service! I never run out of water, their smiles are genuine, and they've always gotten my order right. We're talking more then 50 times here people. I do think that this is a little bit of an Americanized version of Vietnamese food, although by the menu you would think it's very classic Vietnamese. So with that out of the way, I've eaten a ton of dishes here and i haven't ever been disappointed with what's been on my plate. I love the Pho Tai and it's particularly satisfying on a cold day. In Texas there's not many of those but luckily they still have great ice t and bubble t! Their spring rolls are a must. Almost all of their dishes with steamed white rice are awesome as well. It's been apart of our "visiting parents in Carrollton" routine to go to Pho Bistro. It's a must stop place, and in my opinion some of the best Pho in North Dallas. read more

This was not my first pho experience; however, it was the experience that finally made me understand what all the hoopla around pho is about. The first few times I'd had pho with friends who were huge pho fans, I was like "I don't get it. It's fine and all, but what's the big deal?" Still as stubborn as I am, I'm never one to write off any dish or cuisine that offers relatively healthy vegetarian options with substantial protein. I've never tried pho before but was feeling adventurous and decided to give this place a shot. I'm certainly glad I did. I ordered the pho with meatballs and pieces of flank. Also ordered some lychee bubble tea. The pho was delicious, good broth and tasty meat. The bubble tea was excellent as well, however the container was a little smallish. But it was only like 2.50 and maybe that's just more reason to savor the flavor. Probably will return here sometime. read more

They smile and say "hi" when you come in, but unlike many other restaurants, it feels like they are genuinely really happy to see you!
