I am going to say right off the bat, the regular sized bowl of pho is more than enough for one person. They're massive portions. I can only assume what size the large was. Called ahead to order 4 different kinds of bánh mì to go( just to try their menus) asked for extra pate and butter inside all 4 just because my fiancé love that style, the lady pick up the phone confirmed that weird and we affirm that is correct order and the place could charge extra for it, we would love to pay for those pate and butter extra, and the lady said yes they could do that. Not many restaurants around here give pig feet in their bun Bo hue. Spring rolls and egg rolls have the perfect ratio of ingredients. We were here on a Sunday around noon time so it was really busy. We were greeted and seated right away which was nice. The male server took our order in a rush. He left before I finished ordering. So I tried to wave him down as he was bringing drinks out to other tables but he purposely avoided me by walking around the other side so he doesn't have to pass by me. So, I've asked two different times, 2 different servers for some extra raw beef on the side and extra beef balls for my pho and I never got it which was disappointing. Nut allergy friendly for soups, I didn't even ask. This place was packed on a Sunday! Thankfully, in a parking plaza with plenty of parking. Service here may be slower, as there are only so many wait staff if it gets busy. It took us a while to even get menus. The Vietnamese Coffee came out about 15 minutes after ordering (already dripped though, which others were served as it was dripping) and the soups about 21 minutes after ordering. Where the service is slow, the food is packing in flavor and size! I ordered extra large of the pho and the bun bo hue and it did not disappoint. The prices are extremely reasonable for what you get. The pho broth was oily but flavorful and rich. The bun bo hue was the perfect balance of spice and flavor. My only critique is that the eye of round steak in my pho tai was a bit tough, but they gave so much of it that I can't complain. Would definitely visit again if I'm in Dallas. First off, it's a little bit off the beaten path from the Carrolton that people may typically associate with and also located in a small strip mall. It's a large restaurant that gets their food out FAST. Like, order your food, use the restroom, and walk back to your food on the table fast. We got the large pho dac biet (aka the combination pho) and it had great pieces of meat, plenty of flavor in the broth, and a solid amount of noodles. I have been to Pho Pasteur in Richardson and the taste was an exact match which is great. I think this place serves quality food at a reasonable (borderline cheap) price. The restaurant is clean and well lit. Tidy with lots of seating and free condiments for your food. I have tried a lot of their menu in Richardson so I will have to compare this location fully but what I got tonight was the pho combination XL and it did not disappoint. I had to tap out and there was PLENTY of pho left. The food amount was big enough for two people to share...or one starving person on a really cold day. I took it to go and had to stop a few places and it was piping hot when I got home still. I love the consistency of this place and to find a new location so close to my new home makes me happy! I have been going to this place for over a decade! In my opinion, it's the best pho restaurant outside of the Richardson/Garland area and it doesn't even have a number in the name! I usually start with an order of spring rolls or egg rolls. The spring rolls is a mix of lettuce, rice noodles and shrimp that's delicately wrapped in rice paper. It's paired with creamy peanut sauce. So flavorful and refreshing! The egg rolls are fried perfectly with a tender pork filling. The fish sauce for dipping is a little bland so I recommend adding a bit if hot sauce. Tip: Make sure you tell them you want individual egg rolls otherwise they will bring you an order that includes rice noodles and lettuce. Great as a meal, but a bit much as an appetizer. For my main entree, I either go for Dac Biet Pasteur (Combination Pho) or Com Tam Bi Suon Cha Hot Ga (Broken Rice with Pork Chop, Egg Cake and Fried Egg). On cooler days (or after a night of heavy drinking), a bowl of pho is perfect! The beef bone broth is smooth and flavorful. The combination of chewy rice noodles, tender meat, crisp bean sprouts and fragrant herbs harmonize in the bowl to provide comfort and happiness. The rice plate contains a well seasoned pork chop, crisp pickled vegetables, cooling sliced cucumbers and tomatoes that's sitting lightly on a bed of crushed rice. And there's a crispy fried egg on top. You also get a bowl of broth on the side to wash everything down. It's an explosion of flavor and texture. The prices are reasonable, even through the pandemic.
