Bhan Mi ( A little skimpy on the chicken but the bread was fresh. )
    Winfred S.

We came here on a Friday evening after a recommendation from a friend about their Pho. It is located in a strip mall in Carrollton. The atmosphere is fast casual. We were promptly seated and placed our orders. Everyone loved their pho. We did feel like they did skimp on the amount of chicken in The Spring Rolls and Ban Mi. However, the flavors were good. We will come back again to give it another try. We did travel all the way from Irving since the Vietnamese food seems to be better in Carrollton.

Food is standard, but service lacked due to improper handling of a service dog for a disability. Every time I visit my friend, he always takes me to this pho spot since it's right next to his place. The food here is fine-pretty standard Vietnamese food, nothing unique. What I do appreciate is the service from one of the staff members, the boy with the glasses. He's always so sweet and helpful. My friend and his mom told me he used to be super shy, but you can really tell he's come out of his shell. He's genuinely kind and always makes the experience better. However, our most recent visit was off. We came in with my friend's mom, who brought her service dog. The moment we walked in, we saw two young girls working at the front, they were not welcoming and would keep walking past us as if we didn't exist. It took a long time for anyone to come assist us, and finally one of the young girls finally did, but it was only to ask us if that was a service dog (the harness said service dog in big hooded letters) and after she replied yes, she asked to see the service dog's card and that it was was mandatory for her to ask every time. It really wasn't an issue for us, but I just wanted to make it aware that it's actually against federal law to ask for documentation for service animals under the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Texas Workforce Commission. As someone who's worked in restaurants for years and dealt with service animals before, I think all staff should be trained properly on what they legally can and can't ask when it comes to service dogs. This felt like an improper handling of a situation involving a disability, and it made my friend's mom, a loyal regular, feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. She even mentioned that the owner didn't come up to greet them like usual, which she found saddening. The only different thing about this visit was that she brought her service dog. Thankfully, the young boy with the glasses ended up stepping in to help us. He brought drinks and took our order in a timely manner. After he was already at our table, I noticed one of the girls came over, fixing her to note pad and getting ready to take our order, but quickly turned around when she saw he was already doing it. I wished I could've just only tipped him. Overall, I felt it was important to bring this up. The food is standard, but customer service matters and it wasn't right this time. That being said, I still appreciate the kindness of the young man who helped us. He's great and deserves recognition.

Don't see 4.5 stars often as I was looking forward to it. Came here last Friday night around730p. The place was about 40% full, so we were seated right away. Took about 5 min for someone to take the order as many staff members just stood near the kitchen. Once ordered, it was another 5 or 10 min, which was reasonable. But my go to place at Pho One always have it out within 3 or 4 min each time, so maybe we were spoiled. We ordered the large pho combination and pork over rice for my wife. Taste was average and I couldn't taste anything unique about for a 4.5 rated restaurant. For me wife, which I tasted the bbq pork, it was a bit dry and very sweet. If it was cook shorter time with less sugar, it would've been better. Overall, it was just an OK experience, but since it's a bit out of the way compared to my go to place in Lewisville, I'll likely not return.

Pho Pasture is usually my go to pho place but I was in the area and was craving pho so I decided to check this spot out. The restaurant is pretty big and spacious and has lots of tables available. I also went on Easter Sunday and they were open, which I appreciated. I ordered the beef pho with steak and lean brisket. The pho was so good!! It definitely hit the spot. I also got a Thai tea to go and that was pretty good as well. The customer service was great too! I will definitely be back to try more items.

Casual no-frills spot for great pho! The service was great, and our server Kelly was very friendly and helpful! The value was great too, with good portions of meat and super flavorful broth. I also thought adding meatballs was definitely worth it, and they have their own chili oil that really elevated the dish. Overall, Pho Big Bowl is a perfect restaurant for hitting that pho craving!!

Food is fine. Good ingredients, but lack of flavor of authentic BBH. Friendly service. Nice and clean restaurant.

Delicious food, I ordered a banh mi and crab wontons. Everything was really good. But the service was the best part - Katherine is so wonderfully sweet and knowledgeable about the menu. Make sure you sit in her section.

#1 spot and I LOVED dining here for the first time. The portions are plenty this was my first time ever having Leftovers and I enjoyed it. I highly recommend visiting this Restaurant. 10/10

The Bun Bo Hue lacked flavor and spice. The kitchen was inefficient and we had to wait about an hour for our food to come out. Note: please prioritize dine in orders over take out when your internet is slow and kitchen is inefficient.

Stopped by today to give this place a try and it was a good choice! I got the regular sized sliced steak and brisket pho and a side of eggroll. This was the perfect meal for a cold day like today. The name does not lie this was a big bowl of pho! I also got a side of crab rangoons to go with a side of their house made chili oil. Their chili oil is very spicy but is also flavorful, I love that they make it in house. My server Jennie was welcoming and attentive. The food comes out fairly quickly and she stopped by to check on how everything was going multiple times. I definitely will have to be back to try their rice plates, I could smell the thit nuong cooking as I walked in!

So if it's value, this place is it as many places have raised their prices since the pandemic. If it's based on price, this would be a 5 star. But, we're talking taste here. It was yesterday that I had a craving, so I got 2 combination and 2 grilled pork. The combination was decent. The meat to bread ratio was about right, but the overall taste was bland, just not much flavor. As to the grilled pork, I was surprised to see they were just pork patties instead of actual pork. These patties were flavor enhanced with some sort of fillers and lots of ginger. But it lacks the grilled pork taste other than it's some sort of meat patty. Overall, it filled the stomach and craving, but it wasn't enough to trigger the thought of going back anytime soon. I'm sure I'll be back as it is great value for December 2025, but the overall flavor was just average at best.

The Midwest doesn't have any good Banh Mi, so I def had to order more to bring back home. And it was still good, days later! The banh bao, absolutely delicious. Otherwise, the best banh mi I've had in such a long time!

It did have a good amount of crab, quail eggs, and meat though. I sense that this is a very traditional Vietnamese kitchen but i was bummed about the way the banh canh cua was served. Especially since they seem to be the only one in the area that serves this dish. Of course service is ehh too because most traditional Vietnamese kitchens aren't known for great service. The dining room is small and it doesn't seem to have a restroom. Lots of fruit flies/gnats though... I think I'll be back to try the canh chua and thit kho and ca kho next time. Give it a 2nd chance. I was really hoping to find a new place that's local to me with the dishes that they serve (very traditional homemade type of dishes) but I would skip this and drive to Garland or even Grand Prairie next time. :/

I've been hearing about how great Pho Xom is for a while and am glad we finally got a chance to try it. It's a bit more expensive than your local neighborhood pho spot but IMO it's worth the money and the drive. We were seated by staff who were really helpful and came around to check on our complementary jasmine tea multiple times. My husband and I split the egg rolls, dry pho and the pho dac biet (assuming they were out of spring rolls that day?) and our drinks were the egg coffee for him and the viet yogurt for me. I really liked the extras bar in the back too! Dry pho was hands down my favorite dish of the night. Beef was so tender and flavorful and the richness of the dish was really great. The pickled garlic in the back was the perfect accompaniment for each bite as well. Pho dac biet was also great -- they don't skimp on the proteins and the broth was super flavorful. Loved the wide pho noodles in both bowls. Egg rolls were crispy and stuffed full of savory meat filling, and the drinks were great. The viet yogurt basically tasted like a key lime pie shake. We were so full and satisfied at the end of the meal. Just a note that the culantro they use instead of cilantro is basically taste-wise a larger version of the same herb, so if you're a cilantro hater like me ask for them to remove it from your dish. We will definitely be back to try some upcoming items and get that dry pho again!

Will need to come back to try the other dishes next time I'm in the area. I really like the generous portion of the side veggies and also, their hot sauce is just the type that brings me home to VN.
