I've been seriously craving ca kho to lately, and Pho Midway hit the spot. The dish was rich, flavorful, and had that homey, comforting taste that really took me back. I was greeted right away when I walked in, and the staff were extremely nice and attentive the whole time. My favorite restaurant for Pho. The pho is so consistent. It is the way I prefer, savory and meaty. Great portions of everything. Great price. They have plenty of chili oil, chili garlic sauce, siracha, and hoison. Lots of places only have Sriracha which is weird. You can always get extra veggies or meat. It comes out quick. Perfect temperature too. The staff is attentive and polite. It is also quiet and not to busy all the time. The only thing I'd like is maybe some premium meat options that some other places provide. I was driving through Addison and desperately wanted to some Vietnamese food so I decided to stop here. It was after the lunch crowd so it was very empty, but it was clean and had a hometown vibe to it. As soon as I sat down, I knew I wanted a Bahn Mi. Pho Midway will do. I ordered the Pho Mini with Shrimp and chicken broth. It was a great size for the price. I like that the shrimp tasted real whereas in lots of pho restaurants I've been to, the shrimp can taste rubbery and totally flavorless. I also ordered eggrolls. They were okay. They tasted a little stale or maybe they were just a little harder to chew through than I'm used to. The service wasn't bad. They were not the most attentive but there is a button you can press at each table to get the team's attention so that's nice. It's fairly clean in there. Ambience wise, id feel more comfortable if it were a little brighter in there but like I said, it will do. Pho is what you make it, so after I loaded mine with lots of garnishes and sauces, I enjoyed it. I was considering to give 3 stars, but will leave 4. I have been to Pho Midway 4 times before leaving this review. FOOD I mainly had Bun Bo Hue every visit, but someone that I went with always got their regular pho; so, I tried the broth. The consistency of BBH is excellent and I can see the improvement every visit. My first visit, I definitely thought something was missing and they did forget to add an ingredient... Anyways, everything looked and tasted very fresh. It is not my favorite BBH spot, but location convenience will do just fine. Pho broth was also good, but I would definitely go for longer boil to get richer broth for my personal preference. When you check in, you might get an offer, but one of the latest visit was free Thai Tea and that was delicious! SERVICE Nothing to be applauding, just a casual service. I will say, every time I went, we were the only people in store...but food takes 20-30minutes to come out. My very first visit back in January 2023, 3 food (2 pho and 1 BBH) took 43minutes. Almost every similar concept restaurants I have been to, food came out within 5-10minutes with half-full to full-house. Food taking this long to come out is very concerning to me. ATMOSPHERE Interior gives warm and home-y vibe with wooden tables and warmer lights. This place probably was a bar before since it has bar section on side. Decided on this place since reviews of their pho is decent. I would give this pho place a 3 because the service was great but the broth can use more richness. Maybe because we went there around 7pm and they were running low on broth but I didn't get a really good tasty if beef flavor. Eggrolls were soggy and sauce seems to just be fish sauce, water and sugar. Spring rolls is okay the sauce is nothing but water down peanut butter. I've had plenty of Vietnamese food and this was the first time I can honestly say I did not like it at all. I only ate the sandwich because I was very hungry. I ordered a grilled pork Bahn Mi and I got sandwich with ice cold red meat on it that was full of fat and wet so was it boiled or grilled, either way it was terrible. The service was horrendous and I will never return nor will I recommend to my friends. The girl didn't smile, didn't say welcome, hello or thank you at all. She was visibly bothered by everyone's presence. It took her over 15 minutes just to make a smoothie. Lastly, she just put my sandwiches on the counter and never bothered to say here's your order or anything for that matter,i guess she just wanted me to guess they were mine. When I told her I didn't want Mayo she had the nerve to tell me I was confused. To the owner, if she not your daughter then fire her and if she is your relative then at least talk to her about her lack of customer service skills, she's hurting your business. I have so many wonderful things to say about my experiences with Pho Midway. First, the food here is absolutely AMAZING! It's fresh, elevated and so delicious. I had been going to another Vietnamese chain restaurant for so long, that when I tried Pho Midway, I was like "WOW, so THIS is what fresh Vietnamese cuisine tastes like!" I've ordered to-go three times so far and everything has been great! Their shrimp spring rolls are divine- the accompanying peanut sauce has a glorious zing to it. So far, I'm obsessed with their Rice and Pork Plate. Very simple. But done so well that the flavors sing! Also, hands down- the BEST fish sauce I've ever had anywhere! Also, the portions are so generous that rolls plus the entree is two complete meals for me, so this is definitely an excellent value! This most recent time I got to go, I HAVE to mention the amazing Queen who took my phone order and not only was so thoughtful and on top of her game, when I picked up my food, she went the extra mile and we opened the cartons to get her to ensure the order was right. First, the place is not that clean and the layout is weird. Second, it took more than 20 minutest to get my food towards the end of lunch hour. That's just slow for pho. 3rd, the egg noodle with shrimp, pork, pig heart slice, pig liver slice was literally 1 or maybe 2 slices of each. The name of this pho is to eat the organs, if you are just getting 1 slice of the each meat than there is no point in having this dish on the menu. 4th, there is literally 2 tables in the entire dinning area with Saracha, I had to ask for one and the server had to go to another table to grab one for me. Why is it not on every table? This is a very simple place with absolutely delicious broth. I have been around dallas trying to find a solid pho restaurant for a bit now and while many looked nice and were fine, none of them really had enough flavor. Pho midway is finally the place that I can call home and come back to whenever I have that craving. It is a small joint without a lot of flash but the service is quick and you will get your food in a few minutes. Of all the Vietnamese restaurants I've been to in Dallas, Pho Midway has the best quality vermicelli. I don't know what they do to get it so silky smooth. They've perfected it. Vermicelli bowls used to be quite good here. The recent combination bowl was very disappointing; over cooked rice noodles, tough pork and the sauce on the side no taste at all. What happened? The first time I ordered from this restaurant, my husband picked up the order to go. Given that the food was generous in portion and tasty, my family took my sister when she visited. The dining room is clean, well decorated and the staff were very friendly. I didn't realize it was custom to help yourself to a menu, so we waited for at least 20 minutes before someone brought menus. Service was generally slow because they were obviously short staffed. I saw one woman taking orders, running the cashier machine, handling all the to-go orders and then one woman was apparently was the cook. So I'm not rating them on their service, which while slow, was extremely polite and warm. The food was good, as it had been before, and we treated ourselves to my favorite dessert, che be mau. It was heaven in a cup. Everything tasted good! Then my daughter needed to use the restroom, so we found the hallway to the bathrooms. The hallway smelled of sewer, but we braved it into the bathroom. The bathroom smelled badly enough of sewer to cover our noses with our shirts, but even then, my daughter couldn't stand it long enough to use the bathroom. The room itself was dimly lit and did not look clean, not that we stuck around long enough to really see. My daughter said she'd hold it until we got home. Without the bathroom experience, I'd rate them four stars, but the bathroom was so terrible, I cannot recommend dining at this location. Just order out. read more

DUDES, ULTIMATE! This place is amazing!!! The food was like nothing i have ever had! I got the vegan pho dish; i can't stop thinking about it, truly was one of the best dishes I've ever had! This is my FAR the beat Pho places I've eaten from. Of course, not including home made Pho. I've been eating Pho for over 20 years and I can't express to you how LUCKY I felt when I discovered this place. Actually, my sons girlfriend did and I'm forever indebted to her for it. I've never actually eaten here, we usually order for pick up due to COVID. We've had it about 1 a week for the past handful of months.
