First of all, the service here is phenomenal. The owner of the restaurant, Tran, is going around the restaurant making sure everyone is having a great experience. We ordered three orders of egg rolls because they're one of me and my partners favorite foods. We also were thinking they would be small egg rolls but to our surprise, they were big and the filling inside was so meaty and filled to the brim! Tran let us know they're made fresh every day and they sell out sometimes, so I felt very lucky to be able to try them that day. They also have this pickled garlic that you can grab yourself for free! This is northern style pho, so the noodles are flat and the broth is clearer than the southern style I see more often. I ordered the signature pho while my partner ordered the combo. They came out quickly and boiling hot. Tran informed us that we can add the pickled garlic into our soup to add some tang and umami. She also said they're working with distributers to get the garlic to be sold in grocery stores because everyone loves it so much. The soup and flavors were great and let me tell you, it was almost 100° outside and the line was out the door for hot pho. If that doesn't tell you this place is great, I don't know what to tell you. They also have a "soupless" pho option if you don't feel like having something hot but still want the flavor. I usually don't write reviews for places but I think this place deserves the business and more people need to try their great food! Pho Xom is easily my favorite Pho spot in DFW. This is the only place I've ever seen the dry pho, which tastes like a crossover between pad thai, pho, and vermicelli. I like how it also offers a small side of broth and meatballs so it feels like you get the best of both worlds. The classics are just as good - personally my go to is the signature pho. Great portion and flavor! Restaurant can get busy on the weekends, so expect a wait while standing in the hallway. But its well worth the wait. Only wish it was open on Sundays. read more

I'm happy to have a tried northern style Vietnamese pho because the soup tended to be a little bit more mild and not as sugary but it's salty. I ordered the dry pho and it basically taste like stir fried medium sized thickness rice noodles with a semi buttery sauce. I couldn't make out the sauce at the bottom of the dry pho but it was good. Salty, sweet, a hint of butter which I could be wrong. It has crushed nuts, very tender yummy slices of beef, the beef is marinated in a soy type of sauce so when you mix it together it's a great bowl of noodles and meat. Nice fresh herbs and the side of soup that comes with is a tame taste. Oily is the broth but it has a more aromatic smell. The salty soup is from the bone marrow and egg side dish. To me, it's not worth it. For $3 save your $3, to get 1 small piece of marrow? I mean literally a size of a quarter and 1 egg so the profit margin on this is 1000% pho xom. An egg is maybe .25 and the marrow isn't that expensive. The dish doesn't go well with the dry pho, it's not suppose too but it's too salty. Overall love the sliced garlic on the side. read more

Dropped by on the way home from work. Been here before but forgot to write a review. Their name basically means "neighborhood pho" - fitting given the location. The space is pretty spacious and was quiet on my weekday visit, though I've seen it get packed on weekends too with long lines and 20-30 minute wait times. Service was great -- everyone was friendly and helpful. The menu is small, and some items like the spring rolls can run out, but what they do have, they do really well. The phos here are all really good. My go-to is combination pho since I like getting a little bit of everything, and the meats are all pretty fresh. The short rib pho tastes as good as it looks, though it's definitely a heavy meal so be sure to come hungry. The broth is flavorful, though a little on the salty side. They only do flat rice noodles here (sorry egg noodle fans). They have self-serve garnish - highly recommend the pickled garlic. This was my first time trying northern pho, and I have to say I'd been pretty underwhelmed by pho restaurants in Dallas up until now, which is honestly surprising given how strong the city is for Vietnamese food in general. Pho Xom finally broke that streak. The broth is on the lighter side, but it's still very flavorful, which is a hard balance to strike. I highly recommend getting the egg and the bone marrow -- both are absolutely worth adding. The noodles aren't the traditional thin rice noodles you're probably expecting, but slightly thicker ones, and I really liked them with the meat, which was so good that I wished they'd given me even more of it. The one thing I didn't love was the Vietnamese coffee. For the first time ever, I actually thought it was WAY too strong. I should have asked for some milk, so learn from my mistake. I was also too full to try their eggrolls, but they're first on my list for next time. I have heard great things and seen the lines for Pho Xom and I had to give this place a try. We entered the restaurant and were greeted right away and shown to a table. The service was very good throughout our meal. The restaurant is inviting and well laid out with plenty of tables with comfortable seating. We looked over the menu and decided on the Pho Tai Lan, Pho Tron, Kids Pho Signature, Spring Rolls, and Egg Rolls. The Pho Broth here is outstanding! I accidentally order Pho Tai Lan which is a stir fried beef with light seasoning and lots of garlic chunk in the pho noodle soup bowl. I thought that was their signature pho which comes with lightly minced rare steak. Their Pho Tai Lan is more bad but it was just too oily for my taste. My taste bud was looking for a traditional Northern style pho (Pho Ha Noi) so I clearly was disappointed by the dish I order. It was my fault then. Stopped by around 5:15 on a Friday on our way to a comedy show and we had a delicious and amazing time. I've been hearing about how great Pho Xom is for a while and am glad we finally got a chance to try it. It's a bit more expensive than your local neighborhood pho spot but IMO it's worth the money and the drive. We were seated by staff who were really helpful and came around to check on our complementary jasmine tea multiple times. My husband and I split the egg rolls, dry pho and the pho dac biet (assuming they were out of spring rolls that day?) and our drinks were the egg coffee for him and the viet yogurt for me. I really liked the extras bar in the back too! Dry pho was hands down my favorite dish of the night. Beef was so tender and flavorful and the richness of the dish was really great. The pickled garlic in the back was the perfect accompaniment for each bite as well. Pho dac biet was also great -- they don't skimp on the proteins and the broth was super flavorful. Loved the wide pho noodles in both bowls. Egg rolls were crispy and stuffed full of savory meat filling, and the drinks were great. The viet yogurt basically tasted like a key lime pie shake. We were so full and satisfied at the end of the meal. Just a note that the culantro they use instead of cilantro is basically taste-wise a larger version of the same herb, so if you're a cilantro hater like me ask for them to remove it from your dish. Pho Xom is located in a strip mall on the bottom floor of an apartment complex the parking lot is a covered lot with spots dedicated to retail which is nice. Upon entering it was full at about 11:30 on a Monday to my surprise but just shows the quality. I was seated and instructed to order on my phone or a kiosk at the front. After placing my order they brought me complimentary iced tea which was great and despite it being a place my own order and self service for the cold sides for my pho they came around to ask if everything was a good and refill my tea so good service! I ordered the short rib pho which was FULL of meat and meatballs i would 100% recommend it. It's also huge with a ton of noodles so if you aren't a big eater it's definitely shareable or 2 meals. I will certainly give a few more details supporting this statement, but long story short: Your next bowl of Pho needs to be at this place. It's newer build out in what will be a sprawling apartment complex being built north of GBT and on the east side of Old Denton road. Nestled amongst a slew of Asian foods in the area, this place has the flavor and authenticity to dominate the Vietnamese pho market. It's a storefront right off Old Denton and you have to park behind it in the garage when you enter. They're still building out all around it but once you are inside the place is immaculate and the table are well-spaced. The open design allows for tables to be put together for large groups, and there is no doubt they are proud to be Vietnamese. The menu is very simply done, based around "12-hour pho broth, made with love and Saigon soul". Six different pho combinations (sorry but no chicken here!) and soon to be two more round out the entire entree menu. Spring rolls and egg rolls round out the appetizers and a few different coffee flavors. Sounds light on choices but my gut (literally) tells me this place will be just fine. The owner, Tran, told me she came over as a student and her goal is to have very authentic pho. She was ever polite about other pho places and supportive of their future success, but it is clear her goal is to more accurately define what the "real stuff" is. I've been to many pho places and I would say that the differences are subtle, yet very noticeable. Flat rice noodles instead of the round string type. The thin cut slices of beef rounds melt in your mouth. I did not try it, but Tran recommended the Pho Tai Lan as the meat is garlic-flavored and then wok-fried. The combination was great (meat just perfectly done) and that was great. But at least now I have an excuse to come back for the Tai Lan. My daughter got the pho meatball kid-size. Both have plenty of food $17 and $10 respectively. The egg rolls actually came out after the pho, but it's clear that they were made fresh and at $4 a solid starter. It's pretty evident when you just look at the soup this place is a little different to the good. Heads up, jasmine tea and water are served with meal free of charge. It is clear that the food products are bought from the market fresh every day (they're right down the street from H-Mart so makes sense). Two large groups as well as several individual tables flanked my daughter and I, so the crowd tells a story at 10:15 am in the morning! The ordering is done here at a kiosk (there's two of them) and the menu is so simple it didn't get confusing at all. As long as you stay in the regular recipes it seems a fair deal. If you venture off or try to get extra meat, the prices could add up quickly. But take my word for it, it's not necessary to do that. The tip was added in which I don't mind, but just mentioning it so that you are aware that you pay first here. Further proof was the lack of heaviness and bloated feeling that sometimes accompanies post-pho meals. Food was clean and didn't make me feel drowsy at all. They seem to take into account other small details, like using Chin-su instead of the rooster (sriracha) sauce because it has much less sodium flavor. The staff was very helpful and glad to answer all my questions which makes the place even better when the people are so nice. It reflects in the food as well as the atmosphere. We just came back to Texas that night after being in the middle of nowhere in New Mexico with no good Asian food in sight, and this was the first place we went to. The broth is doable, its a little sweet to me. I don't care too much for sweet broth. I like the meat, I get extra egg with bone marrow. The yoghurt drink is also delicious. I'm going to try more stuff next time. You place an order at the kiosk first before you pick a table. They some how magically know which one is your order and bring it out to you. read more

FOOD Combination Pho - this is the first spot that I've been to that has fresh noodles (AKA the thicker noodles) which were delicious and had good texture. Overall, the fall is a lot on the lighter side with less seasoning, somewhat similar to far that you find in the more northern regions of Vietnam. The portion size is pretty big for the price and the vegetables are huge and fresh. Just a bit not as flavorful for my liking. VIBES This place literally transports you back to the streets of Viet the way it's decorated. There are Vietnamese antique looking decorations throughout. There's also a decent amount of seating mostly with tables and benches. SERVICE Service is great! The food came out quickly. They have a bar with pickled garlic, peppers and green onions so that you can grab as much as you like! read more

I assume this is also "Pho Xom" cause the pics look like it's the same place. You know the Phở is legit when you can smell it before you get to the door and it's 95% Asians dining there. Service was fast, friendly, and attentive. There are two entrances. You order at the kiosk and wait to be seated. Or get on the waitlist and then order a kiosk. Parking is in a garage and retail parking is limited. Not a lot of tables and they only have big party tables- basically for families. I was solo so I felt bad for taking an entire table. The menu is limited which is fine with me...less confusion . I had the Phở Signature, fresh Spring Rolls and Marbled Coffee. By default, you get a cup of fresh unsweetened iced tea-- it's either black or jasmine.. I couldn't quite pinpoint it..I could be wrong either way but it's very refreshing. A basket full of basil and the herb, Ngò gai. I didn't receive any bean sprouts or limes as this is Northern Vietnam style pho. The broth tastes delicious before adding any hoisin or sriracha which is also a southern Vietnamese addition. Ended up requesting limes as it needed a little citrus. Would have loved sliced jalapeños and cilantro but they don't typically serve them with this type of pho either lol. I love the minced rare beef and their meatballs were really good. Would have loved to add pickled garlic or pickled onions but I didn't even inquire if they had any. The Spring Rolls were plentiful and it wasn't a filler of lettuce and noodles like some places. Peanut sauce was also tasty-- not diluted. Coffee was strong yet a good ratio of sweetness to coffee. I highly recommend and will be back! read more

Ordered Pho Signature and spring roll. They did not even have Summer roll on their menue, which was surprising. Meat quality was really bad. Very tough to chew. Most striking part was that instead of regular meat, they added minced meat which tasted like paper. So disappointing. Overpriced for its taste and quality. read more
