My typical meal here consists of Spring rolls (their peanut sauce is excellent), Pho dac biet, or Bun Bo Hue. In my opinion, this pho is one of the best in the area. The broth was very clean-tasting, and there wasn't that underlying taste of msg that's prevalent in other shops' pho. I really could drink the broth alone; that's how good it is. I do admit that it was a little awkward while ordering take out for my food. The employees didn't tell me where to wait. Hands down my favorite Vietnamese restaurant. I have no idea why I waited so long to try this place when almost all of my friends have been recommending it like crazy. I love dining at places like this with at least other person because I always want pho AND a rice plate. Thankfully, my dad accommodated my request for Vietnamese food and even he suggested Pho Pasteur. He ordered the combination pho and I got the com tam bi suon cha (rice plate with a little bit of everything). Both were phenomenal and really big portions even though we accidentally forgot to upgrade the pho to the large size. I ended up taking most of the rice plate home, but that's probably more because I ate the entire egg roll appetizer by myself. The egg roll appetizer gets its own paragraph because I am completely obsessed with how delicious it is! I didn't realize until after I ate two halves of an egg roll that I was supposed to wrap it with the noodles in the lettuce - ugh such a rookie mistake. I just moved to Carrollton and Carrollton seriously lacks a good authentic pho place. I went to Pho Que Huong and it was okay, but a good guide to see if a pho place is authentic is by the amount of Vietnamese people you see there. It isn't the best pho I've ever had and the Pho Pasteur in Arlington is much better but it definitely satisfies my craving. It's comforting to know that there's something nearby that is delicious and hits the spot! The meat is soft and the broth is more fragrant rather than has a strong beef flavor. Restaurant wise, the pho is one of the best in all of Dallas. I usually get Bun Bo Kho with bread, as this is usually my go to. Just great broth and flavor. I used to go to this other pho place in Carrollton to fulfill my pho cravings but after I found this place this has been my new go to. My friend brought me here one day to cure our hangovers and I'm so glad she did. It's located in a sketch area near farmers branch, surrounded by a bunch of Mexican stores. But don't be fooled by the outside. The inside is huge and seat a lot of people. Now let's get to the pho. The bowl is huge!! You get two options to either get a large or extra large and I'm telling you the large is more than enough. I wonder how big the extra large would be. It's also pretty affordable for the amount of food you're getting. I can never finish all of it so I usually take half of it home. But it does the trick and cures and my hangover while tasting amazing. They also have other things on their menu if you aren't in the mood for pho. I will definitely be back soon. read more
