I love, love, love, LOVE this place!!! First off, the staff is so sweet! They know our drink orders, what appetizer we want and know my order every time we come in! They are very friendly and give the place a great atmosphere. My husband and I are here probably every week, usually on Wednesday, if not twice a week. I love the Pho Tai and the dumplings are amazing! My husband likes to try out all the different dishes while I stick with my favorite but I always try a bite of whatever he orders just to get a taste! Everything tastes and smells so good! Honestly, out of most of the Pho places around, this is by far our favorite place to eat at. It's affordable, delicious and everyone is so sweet! read more

The pho was pretty good. plenty of noodles, nice clear broth with a decent amount of chicken. Although the service lacked. When we visited I guess they were having a party for a family/friend there (lunch time). They pretty much forgot about us. It wasn't even busy. Family biz or not, ya customer is a customer. I've been living in Carrollton for 5 years and can not find a good Vietnamese restaurant around. We were skeptical about trying pho bistro but did it anyway. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint!!!! We ordered the shrimp spring rolls and I was sad at first because it didn't have as much shrimp as I would like but it was so delicious!!! The peanut sauce was just right. I had the spicy beef noodle and IT HIT!!! As in it was sooooo freaking good AND it hit me in the back of the throat with spice. it was really good and the boyfriend liked the pho as well. Definitely going to be our regular spot to get our soup fix on. Can't wait to try all of the other extensive menu items. Our server, may be the owners son, was super nice & friendly! I must preface my review by saying up to now I've been on the fence with Pho not having any which I thought was worthy of a return visit...until today! I ordered I believe the #11 which had a super tasty broth the other places I'd tried failed at and tender slices of perfectly cooked Beef (again lacking at the other Pho places I've tried). Not the best pho broth but it sure hits the spot even on a hot 100 degree day in Texas! Quaint restaurant right off of old Denton rd in Carrollton amongst all the KBBQ spots. Nice ambiance, friendly service, and a hot bowl of pho in front of me. What else can you ask for? read more

cute restaurant and reasonably priced. I got the n8 and my sister got the chicken pho. Both were really good, though I wish I had a bit more meat in mine. We got the fried calamari appetizer and those were good as well but could use a bit of extra seasoning. The hot sake here was served in cute little glasses and was super strong. The service was very poor. One of the servers stood there talking to a single family and completely ignored any other tables for 10+ minutes. Server did not once ask to refill an empty glass of water. Had to walk up to the counter to get the check. read more

I can't believe I've lived down the street from this restaurant for so many years and have never tried it. It was cold out so Pho seemed like the obvious dinner choice and this restaurant did not disappoint. The service was fast and courteous and the pho was amazing!!! Great restaurant run by a wonderful family. In a land of a hundred Pho joints, this is by far my favorite - and not just for the Pho. I love all the curry dishes and my favorite thing is their Pad Thai. Everything is fresh and prepared perfectly. Staff is always awesome, friendly and helpful (which is key). Love going on Sunday for game time (even though the owner is a Packers fan). Always a great hangover cure too. read more

Sometimes you just have to order the store's less popular items to get a good look at their freshness and quality. On today's visit, I ordered some shrimp and pork spring rolls. At a wonderful price of two for under four dollars, these spring rolls took me by surprise by the softness of their wrap and Vermicelli noodles inside. Most restaurants keep their spring rolls cold before serving them so by the time they're served, the wraps and vermicelli end up becoming brittle and breaking off. The spring rolls here--from start to finish--were moist and fresh. And the peanut sauce that came with the rolls was delicious, too. Overall a delightful experience with this simple menu item! read more

Very nice. My husband and I patronized Pho bistro after work, service was very good and fast. The waitress and waiter ( which looked like mom and son- it'sa mom and pop business)approached with a smile and very attentive. Our appetizers came in less than 5 minutes. Hot and delicious: my husband had fried eggrolls, and I had steam dumplings. Both were very meaty and with good flavor. Our main course came in less than 10 minutes, my husband had the house special rice. Not only was it delicious but the pieces of meat were big, and so were the shrimp, with also a good amount of egg. The portion was very big. I had the lemongrass chicken. Also very good with nice portion size of meat. The prices were reasonable. I had enough for lunch the next day with our platters. "Excellent Vietnamese and Asian Food With Super-Friendly Service." We have spent a good deal of time traveling and living in S.E. Asia, including Vietnam and Thailand. I can say with all sincerity, this restaurant's food definitely met our standards. Couldn't have been more pleased with the quality and quantity of the delicious food. Although we did not try the Pho on this occasion, we really liked the other dishes we sampled: For Appetizers, we had both the cold Spring Rolls and the fried Dumplings. For Mains, we had the Garlic Fish Filet (#115) served with rice, and the Stir Fried Noodles with combo of Chicken, Shrimp and Beef (#207). Can't wait to try the Pho on our next visit. As for the service, the family members that run the place, are oh-so friendly and helpful. Prices are very reasonable. And, best of all, the place is BYOB (no corkage). Highly Recommended. read more

Well, so here's the deal. It's a standard pho place. All pho places have the same meats, broths, and noodles, basically. So, why 3 stars? Well, 1 star off for the value. It was 8 bucks and the dish honestly felt a bit small. Then again, I guess I'm a big guy? And then... Another star off for the... Water. Yes, the glass of water. It was very mineral tasting -- like iron. I don't drink soda, just water, and I can tell you the water at this place was barely drinkable. I drink plain old tap at home, and if I can tell the water here tastes bad then it must be really bad. Sorry... Probably won't come back here to be honest. read more

I was pretty satisfied with this place. I got the shrimp spring rolls which were okay, I've had better elsewhere. I also had the meatball pho which is my favorite kind of pho. The broth was super yummy but what I didn't like about it was there was a peppercorn in every meatball which I'm not used to. I hate peppercorns so that really took away from the meal for me. Staff was very friendly and fast. But once you're served your food you're pretty much on your own. Which is pretty common at pho restaurants I feel. The atmosphere also was your average pho restaurant. Everyone seemed to know each other which is always good. I would come back. read more

Authentic Vietnamese cuisine prepared by 2 generations of the Ho family. This is their 10th year and the food/service has been consistently excellent the past 8 years that I have been a patron. It's a local spot with a long variety of Asian comfort food (Pho), several spicy wok classics and occasinal chef special recipes. The prices are so low I feel bad tipping 20%. It's a local business and a nice family, so I feel obligated to do a little extra to help a real mom and pop shop. read more

I ordered #39 Bun Tom Thit Nuong & #58 Com Dam Bistro Dac Biet to go. The food was tasty and not salty. The dipping sauce was good and not too fishy or too sweet. I was also pleasantly surprised on how good the egg rolls were. The noodles were a bit cold. They could have heated them up a bit, otherwise very good. Nice staff. Food was delicious. The wings were good but I've had better Vietnamese wings. The pho was also very good. Broth was solid, noodles were a bit too done due to the piping hot soup. The highlight was the summer rolls, this is the first time I enjoyed the summer roll above anything else. It had a unique crunch to it that added a great texture and it also didn't have vermicelli inside which was unique but I didn't miss it! They are franchising to nyc and we'll see if they bring the same menu.

The broth tastes so clean but deep in flavor. The beef I usually eat in pho is dry and pretty fatty but at Ngon it was thick and tender with a lot of it. I forgot what the other dish with the vermicelli noodles is called but sooo good. Fish sauce is delicious and the meat was juicy and grilled to perfection. I can't wait to come back to Texas just for this restaurant

Upon entering it was full at about 11:30 on a Monday to my surprise but just shows the quality. I was seated and instructed to order on my phone or a kiosk at the front. After placing my order they brought me complimentary iced tea which was great and despite it being a place my own order and self service for the cold sides for my pho they came around to ask if everything was a good and refill my tea so good service! I ordered the short rib pho which was FULL of meat and meatballs i would 100% recommend it. It's also huge with a ton of noodles so if you aren't a big eater it's definitely shareable or 2 meals. They have pickled garlic green onion and chilies at the front to add and they are always freshly replaced. One of the best Pho spots in town everyone should try

I thought that was their signature pho which comes with lightly minced rare steak. Their Pho Tai Lan is more bad but it was just too oily for my taste. My taste bud was looking for a traditional Northern style pho (Pho Ha Noi) so I clearly was disappointed by the dish I order. It was my fault then. Will need to come back to try the other dishes next time I'm in the area. I really like the generous portion of the side veggies and also, their hot sauce is just the type that brings me home to VN. Service was great. The place is clean and they sit you when you come in then you go to place your order at the kiosk. Very efficient.
