Wanted to try some Vietnamese food today. Went to Pho Barr on a Thursday around 3:00pm. Menu was pretty straightforward. Went with a party of 4. Ordered pork and chicken rice plates and Pho Bo soup (refer to pictures). I had the grilled chicken rice plate. Loved the egg and rice, small broth soup and side veggies. Didn't care much for the fish sauce. Also ordered the strawberry lemonade which had a different taste than your normal restaurant strawberry lemonades I have had. The service was top notch! Didn't wait very long for food to arrive. Overall, I would recommend if you are craving Vietnamese food or something different. read more

The food was amazing. Top of the line service. Loved the ambiance. This will be one of my new favorite restaurants. The servers have the best customer service skills I've seen in years. Had a late public talk out in the boondocks, and have to work early the next morning; so couldn't stay for second half of meeting or hospitality. So we went to this Pho place we'd been wanting to check out. In short, it's really good. Wifey says it's her new go to Sunday spot. Vegan options and good meat eater options also. I ordered the Pho Bo. It's a generous .....eh more like massive bowl of pho. It's a brisket and beef meatball pho slow simmered for 24 hours. Very flavorful. My wife ordered the vegetarian pho. She really really liked it. I tasted her veg pho. Something was different about the flavor and spices on the tofu. Different in a good way compared to other pho places. The tofu was slightly sweet and all around yummy. Don't know if that was a slight cinnamon flavor in the tofu spices. Whatever it was, it's was really good. They've got a few other things I want to try next time we go. Also, this restaurant is very clean. You can see into the kitchen. Everything from the dining area to the kitchen looks and feels very clean. That's always nice. We'll be back for sure. read more

We so LOVE the Food and service of the Webster /Clearlake location . It's always fresh and so flavorful. The ambiance of this location is quite relaxing with the perfect music. There's something about the wall murals that's calming. Really a sweet place to enjoy a great refreshing meal. read more

Omgosh Pho Barr is now here in Dickinson/ League City. We always go to the one in Nasa but now it much closer to our house. It's bigger, more spacious but the food is still good. Their pho broth is clean and consistent. Their meats is always tender. I love how they charge regular price for filet as rare steak. Other places would charge $18 for filet. The service is great. Sometime we got wrong food and called them. They even wanted to deliver to our place without hestitaion. Keep it up guys ! And thank you for being here serving the community. read more

But once I opened the bag to get my drinks out I've seen my taro drink... it looked like it hadn't been blended at all there was chunks of the powder in there. We were excited to try this place! My boys got the rice plates (one pork and one chicken) and found the meat to be too sweet, but tasty. Good portion of rice and tasty pickled carrots. Hubby and I got the (one pork and one tofu) bahn mi sandwich...they were super dry. Seemed like the baguettes were a day or two too old. There are other items on the menu that we'd like to try, so we'll give it another try. read more

Parking was great in front stopped in to try out new location and it didn't disappoint loved the atmosphere and the artwork and the food was delicious. Definitely stop in and try it out! I ordered the Grilled Pork Salad $12.75 it was a filling portion and was so tasty. We also had chicken gyoza $5.75 it was crispy and delicious with a sweet and sour sauce. I didn't know what to eat today at lunch and this place came up omg so delicious its definitely going to be on my weekly lunch list lol. Clean, friendly, affordable and fast had a pho and a pork sandwich as soon as I took the first bite and that bread did the crunch I knew it was going to be good everything was flavourful. Love that they serve everything in a very practical way so you can get a pho and take it back to work with out worrying about the basics like a bow and a big enough spoon. Okay, the experience was odd. It was later in the day around 1:30 p.m. and selected to go there instead of fast food. I sat for 20 minutes and no one waited on me. But, wait it has a good ending. It was slow with three tables and in the business we say "service is always slower when a restaurant is slower". I was starving and tried to get the attention of staff all doing things in the back, looking down at phones, etc. To no avail. I left. But, hey I want folks to know they will be getting a bad review and I was HANGRY. I called to tell them and they said, "Please come back, lunch is on us, and we don't want a bad review." I ordered Luc Lac (Vietnamese filet mignon). IT WAS FABULOUSLY GREAT. The rice was amazing (and I am very picky about rice), the fried egg with the sauce from the meat far above any other I have ever had, and well it was so good I wanted to pay for my meal and tip. BUT NOOOOO. They all refused insisting lunch was on all of them and they wanted most of all for me to be happy. And not one person made excuses for the first round of service. They just made up for it and above and beyond. THAT is very telling that they want happy customers and take great pride in serving excellent food. read more

I've never like Pho until we tried this place. now it's the only place we go! the restaurant itself is adorable. we've only ever gotten take-out so next time we're definitely going to sit in! the service is great too! everytime we've gone in they're welcoming and warm! i usually get the meatless pho and shrimp springrolls which are soooo yummy with the peanut sauce! my fiancé loves their dumplings. Ordered pickup and waited for the broth to cook the meat for an hour and this is what it looked like after waiting an hour. I'm 32 weeks pregnant and can't eat meat RAW. Although, was burned by the NASA location before, food was overcooked and eggrolls had no filling. I have been here at least once every two weeks before it opened. I'm a huge fan of Vietnamese food and was so ecstatic this delicious place opened right down from my house and I would no longer have to go to clear lake for some pho or other delicious Vietnamese food. The first time we came the service was phenomenal the food delicious. The second visit and the rest of our visited the food has remained delicious but the customer service is just not up to par. The staff for the most part is wonderful, but there is a certain guy that we keep getting that just always looks like anything you ask for is an inconvenience and acts like it as well. My family and I always tried to ignore it because we believed the food was worth it but we will not be eating here again. A couple days ago we went in at 8:15 (they close at 9). As soon as we came in this guy asked "y'all have a to go order right?" We said no we are fine in and he said their kitchen was closed and that they'd only be doing to go orders. First of all the closing time on a place isn't the time the employees go home, it's the time they close the restaurant to the public. I agree with closing the kitchenette 15-20 minutes before closing but come on seriously? Almost a whole hour? Just make your closing time at 8 then. We still wanted some food so we decided to order to go. As y'all know, the portions are huge and pho is no different. My mom wanted a kids pho to not waste food and the guy said they don't do kids orders to go. We would've understood this if our past visits where congruent but my mom had just ordered 4 kids phos to go last week? So I don't know why we couldn't this time. I think the young staff just thinks they can do whatever they want. Anyway we will NOT be back. read more
