Tofu banh mi

There are so many things I want to say about Pho Barr but not enough time, space, or words that could encapsulate my emotions. I used to live right down the street and would make it my Saturday ritual to go here for lunch, usually ordering their meatless pho or their chicken plate with chili oil. The food is always fast and delicious (and I'm craving some now as I write). But beyond just the cuisine, the location had great ambiance - I would oftentimes bring my laptop and then just study there for 4-5 hours. The staff were extremely friendly and almost every single one knew my order the minute I walked in. They hand make their chili oil btw, and they sell containers for you to take home - highly recommend! Their drinks are also amazing; I recommend the Vietnamese coffee and also their peach green tea with boba. Either way, this is a place that has delicious food AND extremely friendly service, and if I could give more than 5 stars I absolutely would!!

Service: amazing! We arrived at the peak of lunch rush but were seated promptly and received food very quickly. All the servers were so kind and polite! Food: 10/10! I have had limited Viet food experience but this is definitely the best Pho I have had! The veggie pho was super flavorful and well spiced. The beef and chicken pho also was well rated at my table. My table also enjoyed mama's special egg rolls. "Nothing like I've ever had before". Lastly our drinks were amazing! I got the passion fruit black tea with crystal boba and it was so light, refreshing, and perfectly sweetened. So glad to have a solid place to get pho from in this area!

Came in on my pho hunt and was pleasantly surprised! Upon walking in I was greeted and seated quickly. There's are lots of windows (so lots of natural lighting) which I really liked as well. So the menu! The menu has RANGE okay. Along with the usuals you will also find unique virtual finds such as grilled shrimp and ribeye. As 2 of my favorite proteins, I was make them excited to see them on the menu. On this day I was actually feeling fried rice so I got the rice platter with grilled ribeye and YUM. everything was so so good. I do wish the ribeye was a bittt more tender (I'm a medium girl) and the fried rice is a very simpleeeee fried rice (I liked it though). I also ordered the spring rolls which were tasty as well. The drink was also so good! I got the taro milk tea but there were so many options for teas, coffees, and even fruit based drinks! Will definitely be back to try some more.

Pho Barr was so amazing! I started with the pork dumplings and they were so good and crispy! My pho was very flavorful an a hearty portion. The servers were great there was 2 of them and they were so attentive and made sure I had everything I needed the whole time . And the restaurant itself was very cute and clean!

Let me start by saying it's def a vibe in here! I ordered the kid size Pho Bo and a brown sugar milk tea for my shopping excursion. The service was great, the pho was delicious and filling! This is my new Pho spot for sure.

When I saw that Pho Barr was at 646 in Dickinson (technically, League City), I assumed that the business moved from its NASA Road 1 location. It wasn't. Just the Vietnamese eatery's third branch. Having eaten at both this and the one a few miles north, I can say that the newest outpost is just as good, if not, better. I liked the grilled pork rice plate. The contents of the meal -- the entree, vegetables, rice, and pho -- were neatly arranged. The freshness was evident. The pork was flavorful albeit it was a bit sweet. It doesn't take from how I can see myself picking this item in future visits.

Such a welcoming location to enjoy the best Pho available. Honestly, the tastiest Pho I've ever had. The owners are some of the friendliest people I've ever met. They really care about their restaurant and it shows. The grilled pork, both in my bahn mi and spring rolls, are juicy and very flavorful. Their fried pork dumplings were perfectly filled with a nice outer crunch. All their sauces are flawlessly paired with their entrees. The lemonade is the ideal combination of sweet and tangy. We hardly ever have to wait to be seated and almost always see about 5-6 to-go orders fulfilled during our visits.

Pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem in a random little shopping center that anyone would normally just drive by and miss. The servers were all so friendly and very knowledgeable on the food, offering recommendations. We tried mamas egg rolls and they were pretty good. The beef pho was good and is great for cold weather. The pork vermicelli bowl was so delicious and so were the ultimate fries with beef and a fried egg. Yummy!

Everything in…read moretheir menu is something great, with some of my personal favorites being the Homestyle Trio with Eggplant, their Mapo Tofu (off menu, no gatekeeping), their Spicy Chicken Noodle Soup (a wee too spicy for me personally, but I love the simplicity of it), and the General Tso's Chicken. The eggplant dish mentioned is very rich and flavorful, with the eggplant cooked to be soft and almost mushy (but in a good way), nicely complimented by particularly the beef. Their lo mein is a little watery on various occasions, but still maintains a great and very nice flavor. Their fried rice is one of my favorites in the area and is always very well made no matter the time of day. The fried chicken wings, crab puffs, and crab bomber appetizers are both just such standouts in what is often an overlooked part of the menu by many restaurants. I have nothing but praise about how this place handles food. The staff is all really nice and welcoming from entrance to walking out the door. They are very good with order additions or food/allergy restrictions and the dishes always come out in a timely (but not rushed) manner, no matter whether it is a weekday morning or a busy dinner crowd. I'd recommend the lunch special for anyone coming around that time, as the deal of egg rolls, soup, and an entree or 2-3 sushi rolls for a low price is a steal. The ambiance nice for sure and the tables are clean, though I do sometimes get disoriented by the wallpaper they use (I think it's just me though). Whenever this place first opened, I was very disappointed in the restaurant. Meals were salt with a side of meat and rice and was just overall underwhelming. But now, it is one of my family's go to places whenever we need quality food in a short distance. Definitely worth a try, even over other restaurants in the area that serve a similar menu.

We started with the Pan‑Fried Pork Dumplings, delicious and surprisingly filling. For mains, we ordered the House Special Lo Mein and a Lunch Special that came with egg drop soup, fried rice, Szechuan shredded beef, and an egg roll. The soup was flavorful, thick, and nicely eggy. The fried rice was good, and the beef was tender and savory. The egg roll was also really good. The House Special Lo Mein, though, wasn't our favorite. The texture felt off, and the meat was colder than the noodles, so we couldn't really eat it. For a Chinese restaurant, the House Lo Mein is an important dish to get right. Overall, some hits and some misses.

My family and I used to live just a few hundred yards away in that subdivision. You'd see my number pop up and I know there was a moment of quiet respect in the kitchen. A pause. A nod. "Ah yes... the big order." You knew my name. The delivery drivers knew my dogs. The dogs knew the delivery drivers. There was harmony. I tipped well--especially considering the short drive. I like to think those tips helped cover gas, morale, and maybe a chapter or two of a kid's college textbook. You were part of our routine. Our tradition. Our emotional support takeout. Then... we moved. Far away. Outside the radius. I know. I know. It must've been hard. I assume there was a brief meeting. Maybe a whiteboard. Someone sighed. Dreams were recalculated. But I'm writing today with good news. We're back. Not as close as before--but close enough to smell the General Tso if the wind is right. Unfortunately, we are now approximately six tragic miles outside your official delivery radius. Which brings me to my proposal. Could we add a special rider to our phone orders? Nothing crazy. Just a small, unofficial, mutually beneficial understanding where: We always over-order We always over-tip No one speaks of this again And happiness returns to the universe I'm asking for a friend. Really. I do not need an intervention. I can stop anytime. But I miss the General Tso. And my lovely wife misses the wontons. And some cravings are bigger than geography. We also ordered the Egg Foo Young, which came out as giant pancake‑style omelets filled with bean sprouts, pork, and shrimp, absolutely delicious. The avocado was peculiar.... it tasted normal until the after taste was a bit fizzy.... indicating the avocado had either been left out for too long and fermented - it definitely went bad and they were still serving it. The avocado wasn't brown but seemed like there was an additive they added to keep it from visually spoiling. It kind of ruined the experience of the bowl, but I just separated it from the rest of my bowl.
