Went here with a friend. I love the cute decorations inside. I saw they had a rose tea so I ordered that. My tea was really good and I'd go back again to try something else. Just wish they also served food or atleast more snack options.

Boba Mama is located in a small strip, but it's bigger on the inside. There's a seating area where you can watch TV or play some board games. They have a vast selection of drinks. Boba Mama also have some Asian chips, snacks and soda at the counter. However, they completely lack in sweets. Boba Mama only offers a limited selection of ice cream and only one kind of bubble waffle. No, you cannot get bubble waffle cones here. There's a section in the cafe where you can pick out toppings for your ice cream or waffle. Who knows if it's sanitary, though? Yuck! The bubble waffle was good, but nothing special. There was only two staff members that day. You're better off just getting a drink to go.

Reviews are mixed. People enjoy the fresh boba, friendly staff, and comfortable space. The broad drink selection is also noted.

Ah, Java Owl -- a welcome little refuge in the strip-mall sprawl and chain-coffee sameness of Clear…read moreLake. The kind of place you stumble into expecting caffeine and leave with a small, irrational faith in humanity restored. People like to say Montrose is where Houston keeps its cool, its weird, its pulse. Maybe. But Java Owl makes a strong case that Clear Lake has been hiding a little strange magic of its own. It is bright, clean, odd in the best possible way, and alive with the feeling that something interesting might happen before you finish your cup. Now, the important part: the coffee. I judge a place by the black cup. No sugar, no milk, no whipped cream masquerading as personality. Just coffee, exposed and unprotected. Java Owl passes that test. The roast has character. It tastes like someone cared. It does not taste like the sad, scorched sludge you get from places that treat coffee beans like evidence to be burned. And if you want something more elaborate, they have that too. The specialty drinks rotate, mutate, and show up with a kind of reckless creativity that works more often than it has any right to. Every visit seems to bring some new concoction, some fresh little act of caffeinated imagination. Late nights at the Owl are their own species of entertainment. Beer, wine, conversation, and the grand old human circus of people watching. Someone might break into "Sweet Caroline." Someone else might decide the room needs a guitar solo. You do not so much sit there as get folded into the scene. It is noisy, warm, occasionally ridiculous, and never dull. Somehow, the place manages to be both energetic and peaceful, which should be impossible and yet is not. Good coffee, good people, a little music, a little chaos, and staff who seem genuinely happy to be there. The positivity is not the forced kind. It is not laminated corporate cheer. It is real enough that you can walk in tired and walk out a little lighter. So yes, go. Go to see and be seen, sure. But more than that, go because places like this matter. Java Owl is coffee, community, weirdness, and warmth in a town that could use more of all four.

Was able to get a shaded table outside and chit chat for an hour while her toddler ran around not disturbing anyone! I got the iced lavender matcha latte and the ham & mozzerella danish, my bestie got the vanilla iced latte and banana nut muffin! Everything was good would recommend I think mine was like $15 after tax & tip

Firstly, their green tea blend is just extremely dirty tasting, and it could have just been an issue on that day or something contaminated it, but it was just really unpleasant. The strawberry and mango flavors were really faint and got way overshadowed by the taste of the green tea, which was disappointing for sure. Now I have had some of their coffee, and it is significantly better, so I would just not recommend their green tea. Other than that, though, it was a good experience. Workers were very pleasant we were able to get through their drive through relatively fast. Definitely not an awful location, and I'm glad to see more coffee and drink places pop up around here, even if my initial experience hasn't been too great.

We first discovered Dutch Bros while visiting San Antonio and were totally bummed that there weren't any locations in our area. So when we saw the sign go up that one was coming, we were super excited. This coffee/tea/shake place is super hip and trendy, and the vibe is always fun and upbeat. The staff is consistently friendly and courteous, which really adds to the overall experience. They've got such a great variety of drinks--from shakes and teas to all kinds of coffee--so there's something for everyone. The lemon poppyseed muffins are a big hit with my kids, too. I know some people were frustrated that it took a while for them to open, but it really wasn't Dutch Bros' fault. They had to deal with permits, electricity, and other issues before they could officially open--but now they're finally here, and we couldn't be happier. Great drinks, great people, and a fun addition to the neighborhood. Totally worth the wait!
