I decided to check out Pho Bac since it was close to the hotel and I wanted something low key sland comforting. This place is definitely no frills. You order everything through a qr code, pay and tip at the same time. They pretty much just bring out your food and that's it when it comes to service. As for the pho, I thought it was just okay. The broth tasted watered down and was missing that rich, flavorful taste I usually look for in a pho. The portion size was pretty average as well. Overall, it's a casual spot if you want a quick bowl of pho. Just don't come expecting a gourmet meal or a full dining experience.

It's a small spot in downtown Seattle with plenty of seating. I came here after hearing so many good things, but I left a little underwhelmed. I ordered the pho and it was decent. The broth leaned sweeter than I prefer, the beef was a little dry, and there were a lot more noodles than expected. It wasn't a bad bowl of pho.

I got taken out from pho bac around 12pm on a Monday. The inside of the restaurant seemed pretty busy. I was pleasantly surprised by the banh mi, but it's double the price than what it is in international district. I think for a quick lunch in downtown it's a decent deal, but I think the banh mi's in international district are better.

Decent banh mi, but not the

Location is the best thing about this place if you happen to live or work downtown. Menu is somewhat limited. Rice dishes are conspicuously absent. I had a craving for pork chop w/ broken rice and sunny egg. But nope, not on the menu. They are famous for their beef rib pho. Good but a little fatty according to one of my dining companions (but that has more to do with the choice of meat, not flawed preparation). Banh mi was good, but nothing to rave about.

Not sure why there's so many raving reviews of this place but I thought it was mid. Perhaps, it's because I didn't get the beef rib pho but my qualm is with the broth itself. It was $20USD for a bowl of pho with some sliced beef and beef balls. Not exactly cheap but the bowl was big and filling. There wasn't a lot of topping but you got a lot of noodles. The broth was good but it was missing something that gave pho the rich beef flavour. Plenty of seating and not busy on a Monday evening. QR code service made the whole ordering experience quick and easy.

Pho is decent but most of the menu isn't available compared to the ID location. Not a lot of seating. Pho itself was good, pretty normal. Service is also fast.

Bahn Mi Pork tasted good but the bread was hard. I thought the beef broth was a little on the salty side and kind of pricey for a bowl of soup but still good. Great combo for cold weather. Plenty of room on Wednesday at 1930.

Terrible customer service. The menu was a QR code. And you tip before the service over the phone. The wait staff were so cold and distant they didn't check up on us. They just stared at me when I was curious about their drinks. One of them was eating in the back where the food was being prepared. We refilled our own waters. The music was so loud and obnoxious ruined the whole experience. Yeah I get it's Vietnam but can the servers please work on attitude

Great Pho especially for a rainy Seattle day. The broth was great and had great depths of flavor, which shows that it's been simmering with great care. Quite affordable and their special dish is the beef rib pho, which comes with 3 big beef ribs. Service was nothing crazy but not bad at all. Lots of open space, high ceilings, and great food!

I love pho, and I'll usually eat all of my pho, but not when the broth lacks salt, herbs, and depth. I'm not sure where the pho hype for Seattle came from, but it might be a quantity over quality issue. I got a bowl of the combo pho and it was a lot of noodle, protein and broth so you're bound to leave feeling full. But the magic of pho is the broth and the broth seemed to tease the star anise and not much else. They also skimped on the scallion and cilantro which didn't help either. No amount of sriracha/chili oil was saving this broth. And the service was pretty much non-existent outside of people bringing food to your table, which I wouldn't have minded so much if the food was actually good. Ambiance is casual, very much self service type of vibe. If you're looking for a real bowl of pho in the US, look to Minneapolis, Texas, hell there are even great bowls in nyc if you know where to look. Don't settle for bland broth.

Big tasty portions of delicious pho! This place was busy! I got beef pho and spring rolls. Everything was so flavorful and fresh! It really hit the spot on a cold evening. The vibes are very chill and everyone was very friendly.

We went on a Monday evening. I ordered the beef rib Pho and I can tell that the ribs were made yesterday. It was dry and not moist. I also think they use MSG in their broth bc I woke up with a puffy face. We were also served sprouts that were withered and not fresh. The taste of the pho broth was decent. Average pho at best and service was dismal. They didn't even check in on us after we got our food. Not worth a second visit.

    Spilled food on bench :'(

Ate here pretty late, around 8pm on a Monday, and about 2/3 of the tables were occupied. There wasn't much interfacing with the servers, as you order via QR code, but they bring your food out to you - ours came out super fast. There was, however, a ton of spilled food all over the bench at our table from before we were sat there, and when we pointed it out, the server asked if we wanted to sit on the bench, and when we said no, she just said she'd clean it up later and left :/ We got the chicken pho and the short rib pho, and both were decent: the broth was on the richer side, and the bowls were huge, though the chicken in the chicken pho was quite tough to chew, and I felt like there were way too many noodles. Personally didn't have a good enough experience that I'd want to return, though I hear that the other location is better. Apologies for the horrendous photo quality, I think it was the steam from the pho!

It hit the spot after a humid day and was a refreshing start to my evening. Well balanced, bright, and cucumbery! The arepas tasted great but were pretty heavy, I think probably because of the sauce. But there wasn't really any way to avoid the sauce.
