I have been coming here since I moved to Lake City a few years ago and have always loved the pho as well as the staff who serve us with enthusiasm and love for their product. $7 for a small pho is very reasonable. I got the #22 with brisket, steak, and tendon. The broth is very minimalist, which I prefer over some sweeter broths. I've been here a few times, and it's a decent option if you're in the mood. The food is good. Banh mi is a bit dry but cheap. The pho is pretty solid. The common theme with this place is that they couldn't care less about having your business. I went once three minutes before opening and they told me to wait outside, so I went somewhere else. Wouldn't even take my order for three minutes later. If you try to call in a pickup order they'll tell you to use the (kinda broken) website and get you off the phone as fast as possible. He was very angry. We decided to try and give it another go today but apparently you can't call in an order, you have to go to a Google website. It might also be a chinese or thai spot... :D When I asked for an extra minute because the menu was bigger than I expected, the very nice waiter smiled behind his mask and told me that it was already smaller than pre-COVID! I ordered the egg noodles soup with shrimp and pork wonton. The noodles tasted authentic with that alkaline water flavor. The shrimps, or dare I say PRAWNS, were big and I got FOUR of them. The wontons were also legit with its very soft meaty filling. My husband ordered the curry tofu rice plate. The curry had that sweet thai flavor which made us wonder if it might be made with fish sauce, thus non-vegetarian... We enjoyed our dinner very much and felt properly social distance from other diners. I just moved to an apartment 2 minutes from here and have already been here 4 times. It's my favorite ever pho restaurant, and that is saying a lot. It's amazing. The broth has a ton of flavor. The pho is served with a ton of meat. The sautéed veggies are delicious. Same with the spring rolls. Everything I've tried is fantastic. It's also very affordable. We've been going to Pho An since it opened. I'm sorry to say that Saturday was the last time. After ordering takeout for the past three years and being underwhelmed, we decided to eat there.and see if it was better. It felt like a ghost town. There were five other patrons and a couple takeout orders while we were there. After beginning to order from the app, we realized you had to use a credit card, so we ordered from the counter. It was so dead, they could have easily taken our order at our table. The pho was decent but the lemongrass chicken was not. The portion was kid-sized, had almost no vegetables and very little flavor. We were out the door for 40 dollars including the tip for two meals and water. I'd much rather eat at the other restaurants on the same street. I can't imagine Pho An will last much longer anyhow. read more

I am hoping to revise this review to a 5* one, as pre-pandemic this place was my top pho restaurant. However, a couple of tofu vermicelli takeouts, as well as my recent in-person veggie pho experience, make me think that something has changed. On the takeout, the tofu was very limited for being the main protein. In-person, the veggie broth was unusually bland (I previously came here because it was fantastic). I don't like to write a review like this. The service was top notch, the kitchen looked busy and well-staffed. But I wouldn't in good faith take a friend to this place saying the pho is amazing, based on my last experience. Hands down one of my favorite pho spots in the area, so far. It's very clean and comforting inside. I usually drown my broth with sriracha & oyster sauce. Their broth is super yummy on its own & it makes you not want to ruin it. They have add on options & two sizes. Best banh mi bread as well. Crispy, not too crunchy, and yet warm and soft on the inside. Really good deal for the price! Other items I enjoy here are their spring rolls and rangoons. Today I brought my son here for lunch and we left without ordering because of a major change in their business practices. I've been to this restaurant about four times for takeout, three of which I've been wowed by--and the one that I wasn't wowed by, but also wasn't bad by any means! Their pho is delicious and the takeout containers make the pho extremely easy to prepare at home or on the go. They're very diligent about making sure their broth is piping hot, which is ESSENTIAL to having a good take out pho--and if you're saving it for at home, be sure to bring the broth (only right to) a boil before putting the noodles and meat in. This is our "Go To" spot for Pho in the Kenmore/Lake City/ Mountlake Terrace area. They always greet you with a smile here and are very thankful for your business. It is nice to be appreciated as a customer. The service is great and the food is fantastic. We always get the fresh rolls first and they are great including generous on the peanut sauce. The Pho arrives hot and fresh also. Can't recommend higher for a great Pho meal. We did a pick up after a phone in order last week and it went really smooth also. If you're in need of a solid pho place to eat at with quick service, visit this place. My family loves eating here from time to time, and usually, we order pho along with the tasty banh mi and such. If you do take out, you don't have to wait very long. As for dining in, the service is quick and friendly and your bowl of pho will most likely arrive quicker than your appetizer sometimes (depending on what you ordered). I enjoy number 18 a lot, with the variety of meat it offers. For a small size, the portion is great. There's an abundance of meat with the noodles and the broth is quite delicious. As for the spring rolls, these were all right. Nothing above average but the peanut sauce was a nice blend of sweet and salty. Fresh rolls (regular) have vermicelli noodles, basil, lettuce, bean sprouts, shrimp, and pork slices. 2 rolls cut in half. Good but a bit thin in diameter compared to other places. Pho noodles were the perfect consistency! Not so soft that they break when picked up and not chewy to the point that you feel like you're fishing when a noodle is halfway to your stomach on one end while still in your mouth on the other. You know that feeling! Pho beef was good too! Not chewy or overcooked. Chewed effortlessly to satiate my hunger. Pho broth was a bit on the light side (but then again we went around dinner time). This restaurant has continuously been my favorite Vietnamese restaurant! The owners and workers are lovely and super great service. My favorite dishes include their fresh rolls, which are super great and have a nice crunchy aspect inside of them, and the lemongrass tofu vermicelli bowl. The lemongrass tofu is amazing! I'm not a huge fan of pho, but I know my family loves the pho from here, and even without pho this is still one of my favorite restaurants. Highly recommend!! read more

I came here because I was looking for a Vietnamese restaurant that serves banh xeo and the yelp photo here shows the restaurant serving it. They don't have banh xeo at this location, so they'll need to remove the photo off their menu. Despite my discretions, their pho was actually pretty good. I'm a stickler for a clean pho broth and will go as far as to make the pho at home to achieve it and place had a pretty good pho. Spring rolls were great as well. It's not one of those fat rolls that would break after you take the first bite, extra brownie points for that. Being extremely judgy, I appreciate the double wrapping of spring rolls to keep the contents neatly packed inside. The peanut sauce however, was slightly too watery, dripping before I can take a bite. Prices were reasonable, small pho for $7? Wowza, I haven't seen these prices in a lonnnnnnng time. Only part I would say, which has nothing to do with the food is that they don't have any parking, we have to park on the street side and avoid getting hit by the oncoming traffic. I honestly don't understand why this place has 4 stars. I highly don't recommend going here. The pho broth really lacks flavor. Really wanted to add more hoisin sauce and sriracha but they couldn't even hook it up with that. On top of that, I ordered a large and it looked more like a small order. Even the vermicelli dish which only had one size doesn't fill you up. I love avocado shakes but the one they gave me didn't really taste like it. We have been going here for years but the last two times have been subpar. the quality has seemed to have diminished and you can no longer add spice to dishes which seems a little off. They have been cutting back on bean sprouts and other stuff for the pho, our most recent order they only included one packaging for 5 orders of pho and is no where near enough for that many pho's. Everytime I've been in, there have been customers who seem to be well known by the owners, to the point that the customers essentially say "I'll have the usual." I've heard good things about the Pho, though I've yet to try it. I've had the spring rolls and those were pretty darn good. Nicely wrapped and with good flavor. I especially enjoyed the barbecue beef spring rolls. I've had the sandwiches on two occasions and, while the flavor is quite good, I find myself wanting more meat and more of those crispy veggies, with just a touch less sauce. I have been craving the pho for a while and decided to explore more in the neighborhood. I found this place on Yelp with good reviews and hopefully it would be good. The place was warm and nothing too fancy. We ordered a Pho, combo vermicelli noodle bowl and fresh rolls. The service was friendly and efficient. For my combo vermicelli noodle bowl, I appreciated that they cooked the noodle when I placed an order instead making a bunch to sit aside. The food was definitely delicious here. This place is a pretty typical pho place, and I mean this in the best way. The food is inexpensive, it comes out fast, and the pho is piping hot! I am especially impressed with the larger portion sizes, and they are generous with their meat. I have always received very friendly, fast, service, and frequent water refills. The pho broth is not my absolute favorite because it is a little weaker than some places, but it is still pretty dang good. I am very happy that the pho comes out hot so that the meat cooks properly! My least favorite part about coming here is that the small tables on the left side are super closer together. My back of my head has touched the head of the person sitting behind me on a number of occasions. I am a small person, too. I find it uncomfortable to touch heads with strangers unintentionally. Doesn't look like much when you walk past but that's how you know the food will be divine. My partner and I moved in down the street less than a week ago and we've already been 3 times. We are also only white on the outside-I promise this is the AUTHENTIC shit. The workers are kind young boys who seem to be family or friends and cutely play cards behind the counter when they're not busy. I was visiting eye site the other day and decided to try this place as it was right next to the clinic. The pho was great, we got chicken and beef. My husband claimed the beef pho was really nice however chicken pho was good but not the pieces, they were chewy. We got 2 small bowls and each was priced 7.5 each and I have never seen this price anywhere in Seattle. The chicken fried rice was 9$ but I would say not so great and same with the shrimp dumplings. I was expecting a steam dumpling but they were fried and we didn't like it. Overall for the price we payed I would give a 4* not taste wise. read more
