Impromptu lunch with the hubby! We usually pick up to eat at home but decided we had time for a bite there. The owner is the chef and has always been very friendly. We actually had a moment to chat after our food was all served and it was very pleasant. Instead of the usual Hi, Thank you, See you soon. Everything is made from scratch and of course you can tell if you've had real Vietnamese food...not a restaurant where they are Chinese owned trying to sell Viet food. Forgot to take pictures as we were in the moment. Summer roll Spring rolls Pork bahn mi Beef bahn me 2 iced Vietnamese coffee The only complaint is the iced coffee is usually hit or miss depending on who makes it.

Best pho spot in Long Island! They have summer rolls, bánh mì sandwiches, pho, etc. It's located towards the back of the Boston Market off Hempstead Turnpike. You may not be able to see it from the road but if you pull in, you'll see it on the corner. I highly recommend their hot Vietnamese coffee and pho. It really hits the spot on a cold rainy day and you can actually see the coffee being made in a phin filter. It can be on the sweeter side due to the condensed milk but you can ask them to give you less if you prefer.

I was excited to try this place. It's down the road from one of my work yards. The reviews sounded promising...... and I truly hate to leave a bad review. Buuuut I'm not sure who has had other Pho as a reference but my Pho tasted nothing like pho. Very bland. And I asked for beef & tendon. I received 3 small pieces of tendon. The beef was ample. Noodles were broken but ok. Neither the hoisin or the sriracha helped. Then I wanted to order a Banh Mi with extra pate. But they informed me they don't have pate. Whaaat?! No pate?! That's like spaghetti & meatballs without the sauce. Who does that?! I understand if you don't want the pate and ask for it without. But to not have it at all?! Stunned! So I only left with Pho hoping it was worth the trip. Yeah, sorry I can't recommend nor will I be returning. 12-2-2021

This Vietnamese place is more like a take out place with a few small tables, not good for big groups. There was only one girl who served as both cashier and waitress. Unlike a traditional pho restaurant, this place has limited pho options. The portion of the pho is very small. We ordered the combination pho, two grilled pork phos and the pick-2, but none of us was full at the time we walked out of the restaurant. There were only a few slices of meat in my pick-2 pho, and they cut the grilled pork very tiny. The overall food quality was okay, just very small portion. Some of the utensils had oily marks on them. Big parking lot in the front.

Pho 34 is an appropriate name because I wanted to give it between 3 and 4 stars. We ordered summer rolls and spring rolls as apps and I had pho with meatballs and rib eye while my wife had pho with meatballs and brisket. The rolls were pretty good although the shrimp in the summer rolls were grilled, which is unusual but still tasted good and the peanut sauce was very good. The spring rolls were also very good but they need to give more of the fish sauce. We had to ration, which is never good. Note that they give you 4 spring rolls even though the picture on the window showed 3. The pho was ok although there is a strange and powerful minty flavor that is unusual. Some complained about the amount of meat and while it is far from generous, it was not ridiculous. Overall, there were small issues with all of the dishes but still solid.

I can't put into words how happy I am to have found this authentic little Vietnamese restaurant on Long Island, thanks to it being mentioned in Newsday. We were so excited to have Vietnamese food that we ordered a lot - Beef Banh Mi Sandwich, House Special Fried Rice, Pho Special Combination soup, Pho soup with meatballs. It is 4% cheaper if you pay cash/debit instead of credit card. Thanks to other reviewers I knew to ask for tendon and tripe to be added in the pho soup (they didn't have tripe but did have the tendon). For takeout the broth is in its own container, the noodles and meats are in a separate container, the sprouts/jalapeno etc are in a plastic bag, and then sriracha and hoisin sauce packets are included with the plastic spoons. The broth is phenomenal! The grilled pork with broken rice was cooked perfectly, marinated well and very tender. The fried spring rolls were also perfect. They come 2 or 4 per order - we ordered 6 pieces. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Place is nice and clean and excellent customer service from the girl working there. On a chilly night this Pho hit the spot!! Excellent pho with flank meat. Tasty and good size. There is hot sauce and hosin sauce to add if you like. Definitely come try it out.

PHO night! Good broth, good noodles, good meat! I added basil and lime. The husband added bean sprouts AND #sriracha like usual! What a disappointment; went in hoping to find a good Vietnamese place, left still hungry and with a much lighter wallet. The grilled pork and egg roll over vermicelli had about 1.5 oz. of pork and one tiny (and chewy) fried spring roll. No mint, no pickled vegetables, just a lot of bean sprouts, lettuce and noodles in a bowl, for $17.00. My partner's marinated tofu over rice was just pre-fried tofu from the supermarket marinated and laid over rice next to a slice of tomato and a couple of lettuce leaves - that was like $16.00. The summer rolls were terrible, again no mint or usual vegetables. Hard pass for the future, especially since really overpriced for the quality and portions.

We had two tasty bowls of Pho (one beef brisket one combo), one bun (vermicelli) with pork, and one pork banh mi. Everything was delicious! I ordered pickup and when I got there they asked if I wanted any extra sauces or fresh veggies/herbs for the soup. I was super excited to try this new vietnamese restaurant since we were really missing a good vietnamese restaurant nearby. First, the customer sevice was amazing! The girl who was out waitress last night took our temperature and made us sanitize our hands before sitting which i thought was a great idea and no other restaurant has done that yet. It makes me feel safer dining in since now i know the that atleast someone with a fever wasn't dining in and that their hands were sanitized! The tables are also very clean and you can choose indoor or outdoor seating. Decor wise you could really see how much effort they put into making the eating area aesthetic and relaxing. As for the food, we got pho and thai iced tea. Both were delicious! The thai iced tea isn't very sweet, which made it a bit more enjoyable (usually they are overly sweet in my opinion). The pho broth was perfectly seasoned and honestly we didn't have to add hoisin sauce or sriracha to make it tastier, but since we do like our food spicy we did add some sriracha. The noodles weren't soggy either. Throughout the whole dinner our waitress was attentive which was appreciated. Overall, i would definitely come back here again, I recommend everyone to try this place! read more

I don't live terribly nearby, but I found myself here for a bowl of pho just a few days after their opening. The broth was as flavorful as I had in Vietnam and the toppings were well-appointed. They were generous in offering me anything extra I asked for. What's more, the people were absolutely delightful to chat with. They even helped me in my search for the coconut candy I fell in love with in Vietnam. You people who live nearby need to do your part to support this business, and I know I will when I'm around! read more

It's always great to see a new Viet restaurant open on Long Island as I do frequent Viet restaurants often. The place was clean and is more of a takeout Chinese style place they have a few tables . We order Coffee and seltzer water, vegan summer roll, vegan banh mi and two vegan dinners. It was great that they had vegan options and wish more restaurants would start offering it Cons Summer rolls only contained lettuce, noodle been sprouts n tofu , it was definitely missing herbal such as mint, or Viet chives and was loosely rolled The coffee was not authentic (cafe Du munde) and sweetened condensed milk We waited 20 minutes for the drinks as it seemed like they where waiting for everything to be done, To the point that I asked for the drinks as we waited Staff disappeared and I had to request the check Although they list Pho fried tofu is not vegan friendly as listed as the broth is beef based Pro Vegan option Clean and friendly Dinners where good, portion average They accept Venmo but service charge for credit card Good place for take out read more

So happy to find this little gem. I was looking for something to eat for lunch and I was in the mood for some pho. I am so glad to find this place. The place was very clean and bright. I ordered the Pho with meatballs and tendon. I was surprised that they had tendon, since not too many pho place around the area would have it. I always judge a Pho first by the broth and it was perfect. It was the perfect bowl soup eventhough the temperature was 90 degrees. read more

I don't think I'll be ordering from this place anymore in the future. I ordered 2 pho dishes today and have to say they were very CHEAP with the amount of meat they give in each orider, especially when you're being charge $15 each order. I expected to get more than 6 slices of beef, and these are not large slices either. To make matters worse, they add 4%to your bill if you use credit card to charge the food. read more

Portions size a little small but I get it with inflation and the prices of produce going up. Still giving this spot 5 stars cause the flavor of the broth is amazing and the food came out relatively hot. I tried other viet spots around here and they weren't that good. Additionally now I don't have to travel to flushing cause the pho here is just as good! Def worth going to, but if you have a big appetite like me order a couple of apps or a banh mi. They look pretty good too. read more

This is our second visit and well worth it, all the way from Glen Cove where we live. The food is fantastic and Moon the owner is a joy to spend time with. My wife and I look for places that serve up hospitality along with good food and Pho 34 doesn't disappoint. If you're into ambiance, there is not much to it, but aside from that, if you're looking for a good hot meal, this is the place. We'll be bringing our friends here who live in the area. Never have I ever been so ecstatic to have a new restaurant open up near me. I'm so accustomed to having to travel to Queens or NYC for quality Vietnamese food, which I'll no longer have to do! The service was wonderful - I believe it's run by a family, and they're all very kind and attentive. My parents and I were pleasantly surprised by all of the food, the pho in particular. Everything was fresh and tasty, though I would say a little bit pricey for the serving size. Despite that, I'm certain I'll be coming back many, many times, and I'm eager to see how they'll improve in the future. read more

The waiting is over! Finally an authentic Vietnamese restaurant in the neighborhood. I tried the spring rolls and they were the best I have had since my trip to Vietnam. I also ordered the combo Pho and all the meat was delicious and sooooo tender.. The broth was so flavorful and authentic as well... My first time coming here and they had tables forand they asked me if i was staying or taking out i said staying then the lady says that we have to pay a percentage to eat here. Then they saw me ordering and my son asked for the bathroom she said only for customer mean while i was ordering. Horrible customer service first and last time i come here don't recommend this place to no one. read more

Went for lunch today and the food was not good. The chicken wings were your everyday fried wings covered in salt And we're overcooked. The spring rolls I could have made at home from frozen. Definitely not my idea of Vietnamese. Would not go back. read more

I think Johnsonville has way more flavor and a better texture. Speaking of texture.... the chopped brisket was tougher than beef jerky. Both sides were good, if small. I had mac and cheese and cajun corn. Will we be back? Honestly not sure.

We had a big group of twenty and Marie handled it with ease. Our drinks were served quickly and always with a smile. We were in a semi-private room in the back of the restaurant and it worked as we had some speeches and lots of well wishing to our retiring employee. The room was comfortable and reminded me of an English pub. We had a buffet of strip steak with gravy, salmon in cream sauce, pasta in a cheese sauce, roasted potatoes, mixed veggies and toasted rolls. The food was so good, I went back for seconds! This a great place to throw a party and/or have lunch or dinner. Some of the party goers told me Sal's hamburgers are the best they have ever had. I can't wait to go back there with my wife and our friends for dinner. If you're in North Massapequa, this is a definite restaurant you need to eat at and you won't be disappointed! You should get there early because parking fills up fast. It's a popular place! It's a definite place to watch sports (e.g., football, basketball, soccer, hockey and baseball). I checked this new restaurant out as per recommendation from friends. I'm glad I did. Friendly staffs, great service, excellent foods. I tried fried spring rolls, fish sauce fried chicken wings, pho combination X-Large, grilled pork banh mi and Vietnamese iced coffee. All were delicious beyond my expectations. The place is clean, nice atmosphere. The owners were super delightful and cool. I definitely will return soon and can't wait to try different foods on their menu. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Please do your part to support their new business during this difficult time. read more

This is my favorite place to get pho in Long Island. I've been to Vietnam and had pho a lot during the trip. Pho 34 matches the description of traditional AUTHENTIC Vietnamese cuisine. Noodles is solid, beef broth is flavorful, not salty. The owner and staff are super sweet and friendly. I'm very happy to support this small family business. read more
