Pho is the best in Houston, I've tried many pho places but this has the best fried egg rolls and chicken pho. I definitely recommend giving this place a try if looking for a pho place to regular!

Soooooo GOODD! Best Phó place hands DOWN!! The chicken phó is good! (Not pictured this time) The 43 chicken with rice is BOMB! So flavorful!! The egg roles are AMAZING with the fish sauce! The spring roles are well made! We have been going here for 10+ years and we have never had a problem

I've always wanted to test this restaurant out, so a couple of Fridays ago I did. It was a rainy day and I was craving Pho. After reminding myself of the UYE event hosted by Lou--I had good yummy Pho for the first time. The staff here is nice. One of the ladies working here could not understand the English I was speaking, so she referred me to another lady who spoke English well. She was able to assist my needs. I got the Pho with brisket. The wait time was short. I mean, short. I went to sit down and bing..my food was out. Now for the taste. The pho was tasty at first. I necessarily didn't not receive fresh veggies. As I did get sick after eating the noodles and veggies in which I thought was freshly prepared. The noodles was stuck to the Styrofoam and matted together. The brisket didn't look cooked either. The broth was ok, after a few minutes it got cold quick. I mean, I got sick--I felt nauseated, stomach bloating, stomach pains, and major migraines. Migraines that lasted for a total of 2 weeks straight...yes it was horrible. I am not sure if these people washed their hands. I won't eat here again.

The pho is very lean and delicious! And the best part is that is homemade style. Recommended.

This is the second restaurant that I tried that I had the beef pho at. I don't really taste a difference so I guess it is ok.

Some of the best I've had on this side of town. Spring rolls were really good and fresh also.

Since the new owner took over, the food is overpriced and Pho seem very bland....taste like the rest really.

This place use to be good. Now the pho is super bland and the meat tasted bad. I took one bite and we paid and left.

Lots of seating, great wait staff, and the sandwiches are gigantic--as they should be for the price. $30 for a sandwich on average. We split an open face pastrami (which they brought an extra plate) and we are glad we did. The potato salad is tiny. Too much sandwich for one but not enough potato salad for two! The pickles they provide before your sandwich arrives are yummy- not like a traditional out of the bar pickle. These are what I remember from NYC. Garlic and not sweet. We also had the apple pie alamode. Also pricey and gigantic. It was warm and delicious. Glad we tried this icon. We went at lunch and they get quite the crowd. You are not rushed at all. You can even take some bakery items to go--if you are too full to eat there. Amazing selection of cookies, rugala, black and white cookies and more.

A big part of the decades long success at Local Foods has been their commitment to consistency…read more Their casual setting with excellent service is one thing, but quality executed food that is simple and seasonal will always go a long way. Before their recent expansions to Austin, it all began here in Rice Village exactly 15 years ago. The vibes are contemporary and casual, with the kind of space that fits for just about any scenario. Whether it's a solo meal, a lunch date, or a group led affair, the experience is almost always an excellent one. Start by ordering at the counter and find a seat where the food will brought directly to the table. So much of their variety caters to all sorts of dietary restrictions from vegan to gluten free to nut free. Their spicy crispy brussels sprouts ($10) are a nice starter, as is the squash "onion" rings ($12). The local power bowl ($16) is a classic and I've always enjoyed the brown rice and quinoa combo. Their chicken "posolé" is solid, and I love the large hominy bits along with the clear but green tint of a broth. The chicken shawarma bowl ($20) is an interesting mix that includes pickled beets and strawberries, along with their market cheddar burger ($17) and fabulous twice cooked fries. The carrot cupcake is strangely addicting, and I think their gluten free brownie is a bit of a sleeper. Some of their items didn't jive with me previously, such as an underwhelming cashew queso ($9), a semi-laughable Vietnamese steak bowl ($22), and their semi-gringo version of a banh mi ($15). It's not that these items are bad per se, but they definitely don't live up to the same standard that I feel their other dishes do best. Where they hit the biggest home run is their customer service. Everyone working behind the counter does their best to deliver and they almost always do by staying on top of refills, cleanups, and customer greets. I've always enjoyed my experiences here and look forward to every visit.

After meetings we met and had a long lunch sitting outside on one of the two lovely patios. It was comfortable on a beautiful day. One friend had the Thai steak salad and I had the veggie burger made with quinoa, beets and other vegetables. Wow...is what I will say!!! It was so flavorful and the focaccia bun (not gluten free) was incredible! Plus the double cooked fries were delicious! Oh, the side potato salad and kale salad were also delicious! I look forward to being back there next time I'm in Houston!!
