In all of my 26 years of all my life, this was the first time I've ever had pho! It was so so soooo good. So much more flavorful than I expected. The chicken was very tender and soft and seasoned very well. The plate was only $8-$9 and ginormous. Service was speedy and efficient. You can tell it's a well loved restaurant because it was packed at 1 pm on a Tuesday. It was extremely clean, and I LOVE that. I also had the coconut drink to drink and it was very very tasty. I've always wanted to test this restaurant out, so a couple of Fridays ago I did. It was a rainy day and I was craving Pho. After reminding myself of the UYE event hosted by Lou--I had good yummy Pho for the first time. The staff here is nice. One of the ladies working here could not understand the English I was speaking, so she referred me to another lady who spoke English well. She was able to assist my needs. I got the Pho with brisket. The wait time was short. I mean, short. I went to sit down and bing..my food was out. Now for the taste. The pho was tasty at first. I necessarily didn't not receive fresh veggies. As I did get sick after eating the noodles and veggies in which I thought was freshly prepared. The noodles was stuck to the Styrofoam and matted together. The brisket didn't look cooked either. The broth was ok, after a few minutes it got cold quick. I mean, I got sick--I felt nauseated, stomach bloating, stomach pains, and major migraines. I always take food to-go from this place. It was good but since the Covid-19. It look like they are trying to sell all there old food. After returning the three Vietnamese sandwich the lady in the cash register didn't want to refund me my money. She said the owner would not allow her too when she is the owner. They where trying to make me new sandwiches with the same meat off the other sandwiches that I returned. After arguing with for a min she gave me my money back and thru the sandwiches at her Hispanic worker cooking at the kitchen. Beware of this place. read more

Pho 21 was my stop since it was open the latest on a week night driving in from out of town. To me, a great bowl of Pho centers in well made broth. The broth at Pho 21 was just average. I got a large bowl of one of the assorted beef options. Noodles were fine, not clumped. Meat was on the scant side, and the overall bowl wasn't huge. Perhaps there was an XL on the menu. There wasn't anything about the food that was particularly great or particularly bad. Just an decent bowl of noodle soup. I did come in pretty late, and the place closed at nine. It was a couple minutes past and I definitely got the feeling that the staff wanted me on my way quickly. Not my favorite, but understandable. read more

Great authentic homemade pho!!! Not many pho restaurants still make the broth without the powder. This restaurant still do it the old traditional way from simmering the bones for countless hours and hours to get the authentic taste. This used to be out go-to Vietnamese place in the Clear lake area. Alas, no more. Prices have been jacked up 30% or more in the last 3 months (used to be under-priced though), so the place across the street near PetCo is actually cheaper and with much better customer service. The heavyset male employee obviously has no interest in service or competence. Out last 3 orders through him have been botched. He gets the order wrong, serves the wrong food, then gives a blank look when he is asked to correct it. We ate in with friends last week, and he got all 6 orders wrong, but managed to charge us for 11 meals! We assume a family member, as no one else this rude and inept would be tolerated. The female employees are all great. The guy we assume is the owner is rarely there, unless he is drinking with his buddies and driving customers away with his screaming and bottle banging. We particularly liked our pork chop orders this week: Charred to a lump of charcoal, then coated with salt and charred some more. No sympathy from the heavyset guy--said we shouldn't order things we don't like. The pho's are still good when they get the order right, but not worth the grief. This has been one of the worst restaurants I have been to. The pho was bland and the hot tea tasted like bad tap water. I know that many restaurants do use tap water and serve this outright and in a few the water is passable for being what it is, however, this place takes the medal for most disgusting. If even tea cannot cover the bad flavor from your tap water then you have a problem. Also, customer service left a lot to be desired. This is my first review in hopes management corrects their issues or for unsuspecting customers to be made aware of this for consideration in their food choices. The thing I hate most is spending 16.34 on food and its not worth it! My daughter and I went here for lunch, purchased a Beef pho, Chicken sandwich with extra veggies, fried egg rolls, and spring rolls. The Pho broth was excellent but too oily. Bread from my sandwich was burnt, no butter was given, had maybe 6 pieces of small raw tasting chicken, cucumber was slimy, carrots were not soaked in vinegar, and I had one jalapeno. Now here's an example of new owners buying a popular place and ruining what originally made it successful. The price of a large combination is now just over ten bucks when before, it was just over seven. Now you get about half the meat and noodles but more broth. Now the place is about half full when before it was much more busy. I now go to the place on the opposite corner behind Bravos Mexican Restaurant. Just as tasty but a much better value. Sometimes theres a language barrier but if it comes to it, well... I just point at the item on the menu.
