I'm updating my previous review because today's visit was a genuinely positive experience. I was in and out quickly, and every employee I interacted with was friendly and helpful. One team member stocking the cat food aisle noticed I was coming through and went out of their way to move their cart so I could get by. It wasn't something they had to do, but I appreciated the consideration. When I got to checkout, there was only one register open and a line had started to form. The employee who had just finished helping another customer (who I believe may have been a manager) noticed the bottleneck and immediately opened another register instead of walking away. It kept the line moving, and I was checked out much faster than I expected. They were friendly, efficient, and left me with a really positive impression. It's still a large corporate pet store, so I'm not changing my overall opinion of the company, but this particular visit deserved recognition. Good customer service makes a difference, and the employees I encountered today provided exactly that. Updating my rating from 2 stars to 3 stars based on this experience. read more

I stopped by this store (the Christown Spectrum one) 3 days ago early evening on a Sunday to see if they had a kitty wand toy for my new kitty for a Christmas gift. I found one and unfortunately had a cashier named "Laura" who was immature and rushed and in a poor mood. I walked up to the manager and had to ask him for her name because she did not have a name tag attached to her shirt (I told her she needed to have her tag on and she quickly said to the effect of "I don't need/don't have to have a name tag."). After he mentioned her name, I proceeded to tell him her unprofessional demeanor, when he went to talk to her about it, she evaded him like yeah, I know, whatever". When I decided to turn around and cancel my transaction and told him that I got a refund that I made Laura do, he appeared irritated with his confrontation with her and kindly said to me that he understood why. I mentioned telling corporate about the incident = "fired" and he also understood. I later ordered the toy on Amazon (at a better price and look forward to watching my new kitty playing with her new toy ;) ). In concluding, I will not return = their loss! read more

I highly recommend bringing your dog to Briana for all things grooming, bath, nail trim, etc.!!! My baby girl Honey looks amazing after her haircut! She trimmed her paws carefully and delicately, grinded her nails down (which my dog won't even let me do but let Briana do it), and even brushed my dog's teeth. Briana is so friendly, professional, and made Honey feel safe with her which makes us crazy dog moms feel relieved when dropping them off at the groomer!! read more

Went on my lunch break 30 minutes from where I work got back to work realize they gave me the wrong order it was over $70 order and I only ordered $10 with a bird food call them up. I told I needed my bird for they asked me to bring the order back, came out after I called them, took the items from my trunk came to my vehicle and gave me 10% off my next purchase inside the store, never offered me a gift card for the inconvenience. Maybe another bag of bird food for my hour and 15 minutes riding back-and-forth what a joke! how embarrassing for having such pour customer service! I would never recommend this store read more

Scheduled a grooming visit for my dog, I was there 10 mins early. It was his first time so I brought the verification of shots, even though it said he had the rabies shot they needed a SPECIFIC date that shows. I didn't have it on that form. The women/man try's to call the number to the humane society where I got my dog from and she/he says they are closed. That they are only open mon-thur. She/he then said I had to reschedule, which I didn't. Anyways I called the humane society when I left & they were INDEED open. They just didn't want to service me due to racism. It's literally a can of chicken and carrots what tf do I need a prescription for?! And if I need a prescription, why is it just sitting on the shelf, no signage that a prescription is required? I utilized their veterinarian service at this location and overall they were able to take care of my dogs nail issue. It seemed to me that they had overbooked appointments for the day as the staff wasn't sure when my dog would be ready for pick up. When I checked out they were having issues printing receipts and I was informed that they would email my receipt. I called 3 times since my appointment and was informed that they would email my receipt, however as of this rating I am still waiting. I will most likely have to visit the store to get my receipt for my records. read more

This is a great Petsmart with caring employees. I'm always impressed with how patient and friendly they are. The prices vary but they have great clearance on toys and outfits quite often. The grooming salon is fabulous. I take both my dogs there for hair and nails, theirs get more attention than mine :) read more

I live across the street from this location. However, every time I come in here I'm reminded of the glorious thing that is Amazon Prime, where the pet food is cheaper and you don't have to deal with some of the trainwrecks that shop here. A couple weeks ago, I saw a man shopping with his dog who was pissing all over the store. He had to have noticed. Did he care? Nope. I've seen dog shit in the parking lot right in front of the dog waste station that also has bags. There is always guaranteed to be a line stretched halfway through the store, with only one register open. Usually due to some crazy cat lady who has their cart filled to the brim with tiny individual cans of wet food. And I am saying this as a cat person and animal lover. This store makes me hate pet people. 2 stars are only because the staff is always very nice and helpful. read more

$86 for a basic kennel cut (summer cut) on a 60lb golden doodle (pretty cheap compared to other groomers) but the price reflects the cut. Pads were left almost untouched and nails long. Probably will just pay the extra $20 for a better grooming next time read more

Petsmart has really gone downhill. They don't honor food purchases anymore. I have a picky dog and someone told me to try their food. The food made him vomit for days so I took it back. They refused because it was opened but the bag says satisfaction guaranteed. I asked for a manager and I gave a second star because she did eventually do the return but not before acting line I was being a jerk and returning used products. She acted like o was scamming them. I've been a customer for over 20 years. Recently, I started buying from wag n wash and I highly recommend going there over petsmart. They actually guarantee products. They also have a lot more product knowledge. If you have to return they donate the food to shelter pets. Petsmart needs to get over themselves and remember why they are in business. I don't have a car so I have to pay for a ride to bring my two pugs in to the groomers. I like to have my pugs shaved in the hot summer months as they seem to be much happier & comfortable in addition to getting their nails trimmed, and glands drained - your basic grooming service. About a year ago I had scheduled an appt. online with the PetSmart groomer in Surprise since I would be in the area and have transportation. When I arrived for the appt. the groomer told me that I had scheduled the wrong service and would have to reschedule. A basic groom? She couldn't do it anyway? What gives? I started using the PetSmart groomers in Christown Spectrum Mall so I could shop while they were getting groomed. I scheduled the appt. online, making sure to schedule for a Basic Groom. I hired a rideshare & arrived on time for our appt. We had to stand inside a small little waiting area with other animals being dropped off & picked up forever. Bailey was excited and panting like a Helicopter. Anyone who has been around her at all knows that she's quite a noisy pug & when she's excited she's even noisier. Well the groomer (apparently unfamiliar with pugs) didn't like the sound of her breathing & thought she was in distress. I assured them that once she was inside, away from the other animals she would quiet down (hint, hint), but she INSISTED on having the Vet next door have a look at her to make sure she's OK. They've instituted a new policy of 'wellness' checks before taking animals in to be groomed and didn't feel she would pass, so I let them take her next door to the Vet as long as there was no charge to me and waited. A few minutes later she came back out and said the Vet said she's OK, and that she just needed to calm down (hello!) and then she said, "so you need to reschedule until she's calmer because grooming is stressful"! Huh? No. I won't reschedule. I'll find a place that isn't so stress inducing for my pet that they have to undergo a "wellness check" before each & every grooming session. They probably instituted this policy for Insurance reasons. Maybe they've been sued? Who knows. Good riddance. read more

if i could do 0 stars i would, unfortunately the only option's 1 , they literally had ONE cashier at the front with the longest line of customers and a dog literally took a poop in the store and nobody helped except ANOTHER fellow customer, not even a fellow employee. Instead they said "here i will give u this to clean up" and the last thing they said to me before i left at the register was "sorry about that", i hope they're being sorry for the poor service they were providing with all of their customers and their pets, if they're truly sorry then they'll fix their poor service xoxo read more

The staff is outrageously friendly, and they did such a great job cutting my furball's hair. There was a sale going on too, which definitely adds to the appeal. I came into pet smart to look for a snake, found one I wanted to take home, the kit and extra items. I asked an employee for help and she said she was busy that she will be right with us. We stood waiting for about 30 minutes and she began helping another customer. At this point we decided to just leave. I went in from 3:25 pm to 3:59 pm. If she was so busy why couldn't she have someone else help instead of ignoring us. Horrible customer service. read more

So I've been going to this Petsmart for dog training classes with Brook the dog trainer. She's great, an any question I have she has an answer. Plus when she demonstrates a new command using our dog it is like they knew it all along. The classes are planned an organization but it feels like you're hanging out with friends but still in an a professional environment. I am glad that I taking these courses because if I didn't I wouldn't have known how smart my dog is. Brook is great trainer with years of experience. Ps. The price isn't half off. read more

Of the 3 scheduled appointments I have made to this banfield, they have been at minimum 30 minutes late each time (the longest being an hour). Again, these were not walk-ins but scheduled appointments. Once, I can understand, stuff happens. But three times and you've got a systemic problem that needs addressing. I wish I could say that it's due to incredible bedside service. But I suspect that it's due to poor scheduling and staff utilization. read more
