Good luck getting any help. Two associates standing around socializing while I wait for help. Luckily there is a Walmart nearby.

I like shopping at this store. The employees are always friendly and polite. It is always clean too. I needed kitten milk the other day and the size of container I wanted was not on the shelf. So, David (employee) walked by and asked me if I needed help. I told him what I was looking for and he went in the back of the store, went through the deliveries, broke down the pallet and found what I was looking for. He was extremely polite, respectful and helpful. Very good customer service and it was extremely appreciated. read more

I walked into PetSmart to buy birdseed and dog treats. When I entered the store, I was hit in the face with the worst unclean, cat, dog, reptile, bird, Guinea pig/hamster smell that was gagging! If I hadn't had a tissue with me to cover my nose, I would not have been able to pick up my items, which I did very quickly. I mentioned the horrid stench to the cashier but he just shrugged. 20 th St and Highland PetSmart never smelled like that! Ever! Never again! read more

Gave them one star because I couldn't give then 0... This is the worst experience I've ever had "PETSTUPID" if they were so smart then they would not send you a coupon on October 2nd 5:49 pm that expires October 4th with October 15 in large bold print at the bottom of the coupon... oh bye the way they did have October 4th on the coupon in they small what I will call ghost letters for lack of a better description of letters that are very faint unlike all the other lettering... This felt like pure consumer fraud "the good old fashion BAIT & SWITCH" took me back to a simpler time when you knew big company did it and it was just unethical not illegal. "PETSTUPID" has done a fantastic job of getting to the top of the pet industry in fact they have become so good at what they do I think they must sit in their giant "PETSTUPID" headquarters kissing their own ass's, bragging to each other how they are so great they all those wonderful customers who put them where they are one customer at a time... well just a word to the wise we can also leave you one customer at a time and think you're to smart to survive without us consumers who have taken down bigger corporations than "PETSTUPID" because they thought they were to big to be touched... just remember my pet does not give a rats ass where I shop... and I can tell you it won't be "PETSTUPID" ever again and I have friends who have friends who have friends next thing you know you have empty stores and pay checks bouncing like big rubber balls simply because you forgot as they say "to dance with the one that brung you" MY $180.00 purchase may seem small to those in the ivory towers but it's a start... it felt great knowing it was back in my pocket and heading somewhere where customers count. read more

Okay, this update is for 2 specific incidents with 2 very different outcomes, but the weaker is cancelled by the stellar leaving my review at 5 stars. I wanted to get dogface one of those "I'm a big scary dog" spiked collars. They're like 60 clams.(a better spent 60 clams as opposed to the Smelly Dog 60 clam coat)Anyhoo. This is in Criptown Maul,so they lock the good shit up.Good shit being a 60 clam big scary dog spikey collar. Don't judge me...You know it's a fair statement.Even if you refuse to admit it. So,I find someone to unlock the collar to make sure it fits. Well,it don't.AND it's brown...No no no...Must not be.This must be a black leather big scary dog spikey collar. My dog will be Dog Halford. My dog will be hellbent for leather. I ask key guy if they have any in his size in black that's not locked up in the display rack.Well Lazy Farts tells me they don't make that collar any bigger and it only comes in brown...Hmmm.I doubt that. I go to another Petsmart and get it.In black,In his size.Fucker lost a 60 clam sale. Oh...and guess what...I happen to know someone in upper management in the Petsmart Corporation.Guess what he knows too now... You never know who you're waiting on Mr.Lazy Farts Key Holder... Now for part Deux of this update. On another occasion,I bring dogface to the groomie area, without an appointment or clue.(I take him to charity car washes to wash him.Cheaper than a groomie and money goes to some needy something or other.)All I need are his doenails did. They can do it!Check in groomie girl real pleasant, gave a shit, and was engaged and knowledgable. All the groomie girls were extra cool and human. You could get the idea they all went out for girls night out after work from time to time.Just the way they got along,a symbiosis if you will. So,after looking at dog's nails, she comes back and suggests a slightly different service and the reason why.Reasonable,go for it.Dog was a bit nervous, but they handled him so well. His toenails all did and nice, dog more comfy now. I will go back for that again! Oh,and he was wearing his big scary dog collar, the one they don't make in his size or black on that occasion... I didn't see Mr.Lazy Farts though.maybe he had made a bed of excelsior in the back and was sleeping on it. Tee hee hee. read more

Jahzzel did a wonderful job on my Tiki! Thank you. I will he bringing her back soon. It is my first time bringing my puppy to get groomed. They did such a wonderful job. read more

I actually had the opposite experience as Brad H (see his review on 7/10/08). I want to compliment two of the cashiers/regular workers and one of the managers. I wanted to buy a cat tower but I noticed that one of them had fur on it already! And you know how territorial cats are, my cat probably wouldn't want anything to do with it if it had already been scented. So I asked a nice young gal about how they sold them and if we are supposed to carry off what's displayed or if they are in the back somewhere in boxes. She said whatever is out on the floor is all they have usually unless they have a couple extras in the very top shelves. She offered to call her manager for me and I accepted. The manager came immediately and was helpful and friendly. She offered to give me a discount on the one that had fur on it and she also went to see if there were extras in those top-shelf areas. There were, but I felt bad (and didn't have much time) making her get someone with a forklift to get it down and go through all that trouble. Anyway, I ended up getting a different one that had no trace of "being tested out" -- which isn't actually allowed, so someone must have snuck their animal onto that other one or something. She helped me carry mine to the register. Then to top it off, the cashier helped me not only carry it out to my car, but spent like 5 minutes out there in the AZ heat with me as we figured out how to fit the darn thing in my car! She was friendly and happy to help the whole time. Overall I am really satisfied with my time spent there and even though all Petsmarts have pretty expensive items, their people make it worth the experience. read more

This is for the groomers. My dog was turned away from service for barking too loudly. He's been that way for the four years I've had him, and training is not working obviously. I have never had a grooming salon turn him away for that, ever, and he's had service regularly. This was my first visit at this location and last. I'm disappointed. The groomers seemed irritated and impatient. I'm just disappointed. read more

The store staff is always nice and are ready to help you with anything you need. The salon here is awesome. The groomers are tentative and try to groom fur babies to your liking!! One of my lil guys had an accident on the other after they had just been picked up from being groomed. These sweet ladies were more than happy to re-bathe and dry my fur baby again free of charge!! I love this place read more

Went to this store for the first time. We received a card in the mail for a free bag of pet food. I kinda doubted that it was really free, but it was! Two employees helped me find what was allowed - the answer was lots of choices. Very helpful, especially since I had never been in this store. I didn't even know there was a PetSmart in the shopping center, though we go to the Costco there all the time! Oh, much nicer staff and cleaner than the store I'd been going to, and not much farther away from our home. read more

Have taken my service dog to this Petsmart for grooming since I first got him, 3 1/2 years ago. They take great pride in how good they do his grooming. They do a wonderful job with his bath, brushing, grinding down his nails, they do a great job of pampering him and having him relaxed so that there is no fighting them while he is in their care. I recommend this store and their grooming staff with full confidence and praise. read more

Don't get me started with the service I have gotten recently. The "hospital" staff is the worst. Going in for an ear infection and having my gog for 6 hours, they forgot to treat the infection. They began to blame me even though I brought the dog in for a Fu^#ing ear infection. Took them another hour to. Flush the ear and ake excuses. They suck! read more

Pretty decent Petsmart. They always have my pup's food and favorite snacks. The employees are nice and somewhat attentive. It is never too packed and it appears clean. read more

I bought 6 comet goldfish from here they are very healthy....& easy to take care of Overall I'm very happy with everything except the price of the cats they have there the cheapest one I seen was $80 the most expensive was $200 tho read more

Today I took my newly adopted yellow lab in for a standard wash, condition package. Cost was less than $30. I've never taken a pet in for grooming services but Lawrence wouldn't let me wash him myself. He was a stray picked up by the county before I adopted him so I know nothing of his history. He came out happy and looking very good. They definitely met my expectations and I will use them again read more

Good freshwater fish selection. Knowledgeable people in aquariums when I called about fish and inverts available for my freshwater tank. Wish they had more products for marine aquariums. Never had a problem with customer service as someone in the store always ask if you need help. Ignore negative reviews as they are drama queens and not focused. read more

These stars are especially for Courtney!! She has absolutely great customer service! Super understanding and extremely patient! I would definitely come back again. Thank you so much for everything!!! read more

I set an appointment to get my dog groomed and I get there and they wont take her because I did not have her shot records. First of all, I was not told to bring them, my dog is just a puppy and barely 4 months. 4 months is time they need proof of raibies. I talked to the manager and I told him my puppy may not evan be 4 months yet, I got her from a rescue. He wanted proof that she was under 4 months old. REALLY ! You are an idiot. I will take my dog where we will both be treated with respect. I will never go to that store again. Poor management read more

Omg! What an F'n craphole! Overpriced, usually broken, sometimes used Wal-Mart garbage. I hate having to go here.

Average location. Customer service is very hit or miss.

The grooming for my Pomapoo was spectacular. Kayla was super friendly and treated my baby great! He came out super happy and adorable! I highly recommend her! read more

Horrible service all around. I went in knowing what I was going to get right when it opened thinking it was going to be an in and out experience WRONG. I waited at the check out stand for 5 minutes before I realized that no one was going to come by anytime soon . I went to go look for an associate and guess who I found to be the cashier for that morning the same guy who made eye contact with me more then once while I was standing at the check out counter. Looking for a floating dog toy, durable bone and a nail clip we stopped by here. I picked a toy, asked if the cahier thought it would float. Not only did she say no, she proceeded to take every ball we considered to a full sink and test it's ability float. Above and beyond...thank you Heather. read more

A very clean place. I only had one issue where I felt like I was being ripped off by the groomers. Pawdicure sounded like such a great package, but the groomer did one swab of the ear (no hair removal as stated [because my dog wouldnt let them]), and a nail grind... I had to go back and ask them to put the (as advertised) bandana. Waste of money, and I probably will learn how to groom myself. Overall though, prices are very reasonable for their merchandise. read more

Don't be fooled by the advertisement you may receive in your email for free shipping, no minimum. I noticed that when PetSmart has free shipping, it is really not free shipping. You are actually paying about $3.00 extra for each item when you order an item online and it says free shipping. If the item is available for both store pick-up and free shipping, you would probably be paying $3.00 extra even if you choose store pick-up. I noticed this because I ordered Blue Buffalo dog food online and picked free shipping. However, I went into the PetSmart store to get my dog's nail clipped and I saw that the same dog food I ordered online (that day) with free shipping was $3.00 less than what I paid online. And yesterday I went to PetSmart to take advantage of their offer for buy $40.00 worth of products and receive $5.00 off your next visit. The Blue Buffalo dog food that I had just purchased was now on sale for $10.00 off so I purchased another bag. I went home to look on my computer (I probably could have checked the price at the store using my Smartphone, but I didn't) to see what the price of this dog food was with their free shipping offer, no minimum, and again I found that the price of the same dog food I purchased at store was $3.00 more when you purchase it online. However, I still think PetSmart has best prices when it comes to Blue Buffalo dog food and that's why I am giving PetSmart 3 stars instead of 2. read more

I went to petsmart in a panic... (and really emotional) on the hunt for specific food for my dog. The manager, Felicia, was the best. I left super happy and I felt like a valuable customer. My dog literally JUST ate dinner thanks to her and her friendly staff. Best service period. Thank you Felicia. read more

I went into the groomers, paying for the Pawdicure. This is supposed to include: nail trim, nail grind, ear cleaning and hair removal, cologne, and a bandana. First, the groomer did not trim the nail, only did the grind. I did not complain because "hey, maybe my dog's nails were really short,". Then, my dog flinched every time they went into his ear. In my opinion, they were being really rough on him. So, they did not clean or remove any hairs because they did not want to get bitten. Lastly, when they returned him to me, he wasn't even spritzed or had a bandana. I had to remind them to do those things. I was already very upset that I paid $20 for a simple nail grind. They did not do all of the things in the package and still charged me the full amount, telling me to go handle the ears myself. Very disappointing. A few weeks later, I went to a private groomer, Debbie, who charged $30 for a full grooming! She even did his ears and nails properly. Never going to petsmart grooming again... Waste of money. The 3 stars I put up there represents the 5 star service I get from the store employees, who not only handed me coupons for various items, but were nice enough to carry bigger items to my car. read more

A while back, I purchased a harness to take my dog on bike rides. I didn't use it much until this past week end. We went on a long ride and I noticed my dog had fairly severe cuts under each of his front legs from the tabs. The edges of the tabs on the harness are very hard and sharp from an excess of Gorilla-type glue. I'm a consistent customer at the Petsmart on Bethany Home Rd. I don't spend millions, but i use them for grooming of both my dogs and purchase most bones, toys, leashes, etc. from them. I brought the harness back to exchange for another one. When I spoke with one of the managers, Courtney, her terse response was no. it had been longer than the 60 days and the harness looked worn. I explained to her that I hadn't used it much until this week end with the rainy weather and I wasn't looking for money back. Just an exchange for another harness to replace the defective one. She still refused, stating the same criterion. I get policies, but when it comes to defective products, bending the rules to retain a loyal customer is a good idea. Because of Courtney, I'm taking my pet supply and grooming business anywhere but Petsmart. read more
