We've been to every groomer in the valley it seems, and we can't tell you how happy we are that we found Puff  & Fluff Arcadia! I always feel this sense of ease and comfort knowing our two golden's are loved / cared for when they're getting baths or teeth cleanings. Our dogs are our babies, so the communication via text is very thoughtful. One time they even sent us this cute picture of Zoey comforting Bella as she was getting her teeth cleaned. Like what? So sweet, we appreciated that! Also, our girls fur has never been softer. I'm not sure what their secret is or what products they use, but we love it! If your groomer truly feels unsafe with my 12 pound bichon you would think you cancel the service immediately and not continue to botch your pet. Cassie unfortunately lack of experience was shown. On top of her saying my dog could be "put down " and still trying to charge me $100 for the unfinished service. I've been bringing my dogs to Puff & Fluff in Arcadia for a couple of years now, and they always come out looking absolutely adorable! The staff is friendly, professional, and clearly loves animals. Paula and Cassie always do such a great job with the grooming! My pups always look so cute! Cassie is also extremely wonderful with my dog, Oscar. He can be squirrely at times and does not like having his nails trimmed, but she's so patient and kind with him, which I really appreciate. My husband and I took our 2 puppies for their very first grooming on 04/11/24. This was made clear at drop off that they'd never been groomed before. The groomer who stated she'd be working on both of the puppies seemed very understanding and nice. When we arrived to pick them up, I could hear them both yelping. I assumed they keep the puppies in kennels while waiting to be picked up and the puppies just weren't happy to be in there. I could hear one staff member in the back talking in a rather annoyed voice. It seemed about an animal, but i really couldn't make out everything she was saying. The front desk person hurriedly went back there and said "Quiet. They're here" followed by someone asking "For the yorkies?" It felt a little offputting, but again, without really hearing everything the staff person in the back said, I can't say if it was anything that they were doing that was making the puppies yelp. After they brought the puppies out, my husband was holding one, Rocky, when one of their staff members just reached over and grabbed a huge chuck of the hair under our puppy's chin and held on tight. Rocky started whimpering and clawing at her hand and then yelping as the staff member tried to explain that this is what you do to teach them to hold still for grooming.  My husband and I were both extremely uncomfortable. I wanted to tell her to stop, but it all happened so quickly, I was kind of stunned and couldn't process what was happening quick enough. When Rocky finally stopped fighting her, she let go while making the comment "see! We had to do this several times today. You know what to do" to Rocky.  I've spoken to my life long friend who has always had yorkies and my mom's friend who used to show dogs and neither of them have ever heard of intentionally inflicting pain on a puppy by grabbing hard onto the hair beneath their chins and not letting go until the puppy calms down in order to acclimate them to grooming.  We're trying to teach our puppies that the groomer is not someone to be feared. Nor any of the other staff that might assist.  If the puppies were too wiggly, the staff should have just stopped and called me to tell me they weren't equipped to handle such wiggly puppies.  I *did* Google this technique and the staff member was completely incorrect regarding the technique. Any techniques used on a puppy that will knowingly cause the puppy pain should be discussed with the owner PRIOR to administering them, but really shouldn't even be used at all. Unfortunately, I didn't catch the name of the staff member who did this. It was *not* the groomer that had originally greeted us. All I can really say is that she was an older white woman with short hair and the front staff person who also saw all of this was a younger white woman with long black hair. I sent them an email that same night and a Facebook messenger message the next morning. It has been over a week and I've received no response to my concern. read more

The staff at Puff and Fluff are always kind and patient with my pups. One of my dogs is 17 and they are gentle with her and attentive to her needs. She sheds pretty bad in the Spring , the bath and brushing they gave her left her coat soft and fluffy for over a month . I have a persian cat with long fur and she needs to have a butt cut every few months. Previously, I would just bring her into the vet and have the vet techs do this (and it only cost ~$15 or so for just the butt cut), though it was sometimes difficult to find times that their office was open that would work with my schedule. I looked around for mobile groomers that would come to you, but they were very expensive - like $90! I found a happy compromise with Puff and Fluff. I was nervous dropping off my kitty for a couple hours in a place where there were also dogs being groomed, though my cat did ok and the dogs didn't scare her. The groomer did a great job with the butt cut, all of her tangles and mats are now out, and they gave her a bath too. The whole thing was $50, which is very reasonable for all of that. My kitty feels super soft and cuddly now too! read more

Incredibly disappointed. I've been a customer going on 4 years. Just recently I neutered my dog. He was not able to go in for a regular dog grooming for quite some time. When I asked them to credit me at least one month they ignored me. When I asked for them to have a manager call back they ignored me. I've emailed and called now and crickets and sent a text message. Let's just say my dogs do not, I repeat, do not enjoy the groomer or bath time. Apparently looking pretty doesn't matter much to them. However it must be done and Puff & Fluff is where we take our Border Collie and Basset Hound. They whine the entire way there and kick and scream like toddlers leaving mom for the first time, but once we get them in the door the good people at Puff & Fluff take care of them and do the rest. When we drop them off we know they are in good hands and will be groomed beautifully and treated well. The staff is very friendly and seem to love the dogs and what they do. They are always busy and obviously work hard nonstop all day. It takes a few hours and then they call us to come pick up our pups and admire their new nails and hairdos. The dogs always look fantastic and smell lovely! The prices aren't exactly cheap, but they aren't unreasonable either. Puff & Fluff does quality work and cares for your beloved pets. I'm sorry to say this is the worst haircut my dog has ever had. Areas look like they were either partially cut or missed completely. The fur is randomly all different lengths by about an inch to an inch and a half. Really disappointed because it's so close to our home and moderately priced. On the positive, my dog seemed very comfortable when she was picked up, which is not her usual after grooming. I imagine that she was kindly cared for, which is important too. read more

I have a soft coated wheaten terrier and was referred here because they said that they worked with mega esophagus dogs, which means they cannot give her food or water to drink or she will regurgitate. That did not happen, and they shaved her down... She was sick and looked awful and on top of that they asked me not to come back with my puppy... Trust me, I will not. She has never had this problem with other groomers I recognize she has mega esophagus, and may be a bit more difficult however she is a Sweet 3 1/2 year-old puppy so I am really not sure what happened that day. I had gone to here a month before, and the groomer told me she was sweet as can be. I was just asked not to return. I would need to go mobile at home services. She went to a groomer last week who did not let her drink water and they groomed her beautifully without shaving her down and did very well and she looked awesome for Christmas. We were very disappointed and still paid $100 and told not to ever return . Oh well. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET SCAMMED. I took my dog here once before about 6 months ago and he had a bath&brush and a nail trim. I specifically remember paying extra for the nail trim and adding on the service online. Fast forward to today, I pick up my dog expecting to pay the price they have online (52-58 for a large dog) for the bath&brush I requested. She tells me the total is $67. I ask, where are the extra charges coming from because the price online is different? She said "well our prices online aren't updated" and I said that's not my fault. Then she tells me it's actually because he is considered an XL dog and not a large dog. But, I put in ALL his info online and no one said a word to me or mentioned "hey just letting you know he's an XL dog and the price will be more". They approved and accepted my appointment with him as a large dog and his information online including breed and weight. Just wait... so then she says "well actually we did his nails too" and I said I did not request that and she told me "it just comes with the service". Which is total BS because then why did I pay extra for it last time? And THEN she tells me that my dog hurt someone there and that's why they had to add a "handling fee". When I asked what did he do?! She said he didn't want to get in the kennel and they had to get on all fours to help him in and hurt her back... Um... is that not your job? He is a dog? I am just so disappointed and will never be returning here. The fact that you couldn't even be consistent in why I was being charged $70 for a BATH. I thought the original $52-58 was expensive. Have tried this place off and on as our preferred groomer is a 35-40 min drive away. Scheduling is very easy, and seems to have better availability than other places, but this may be because they overbook. WHEN they have groomed/trimmed my dog he looks great! The concern I have is they don't seem to have any patience with even the slightest matting. They immediately try to tell me I need to shave my doodle, and refuse to de-mat (talking small section of leg or belly). Looking back, I feel this was because my appointment is typically around noon, and the lady at the front is SURE to remind me repeatedly what time they close and I need to be there by then (3:30). Meanwhile, the mezzanine is full of dogs waiting to be let in (overbooked comment). The first time I thought I was missing something as a new doodle owner so let him get shaved. The last two times I've refused to have him shaved and taken him to our preferred groomer days later. They've had 0 issues with matting or trimming him. read more

Puff and Fluff waited until after we paid--and tipped--to tell us they didn't finish the job. Before this appointment, I was a regular with them to get my two dogs groomed. One is fussy about her nails and requires a "chill protocol" in order for her to be docile enough to get her pad fur trimmed and nails cut. The groomer informed me--after I paid--that they were unable to complete the pad and nail trim because of her behavior. While I agree with the decision for the groomer and dog's safety, it was very dishonest for them to withhold that information until after we were charged for the full service. No efforts from the spa were made to offer a partial refund after the payment was made or a discount for next time due to the unfinished job. I must give major props to the team here. I've brought my dog Wrigley here a few times, with long stretches in between because he's a big baby about getting his nails clipped. After my last visit, I am going to make this a routine. The team here was perfect, allowed me to help calm Wrigley down as his nails were trimmed and filed and he had his best reaction to getting his nails clipped I've seen in the 2 1/2 years he and I have been together. I decided to also have them wash and shampoo Wrigs as well after the nail clipping and it's a great price, $36 for everything. I'm going to start bringing Wrigley here more frequently, because he was very calm overall and really enjoyed his wash. We went to Sedona after and he rocked his green bandana all day. Been grooming my Sheltie for sometime now. The first week in February noticed his hair did not look like he had been groomed as before. Looked shabby. bought him a new bed,he was laying on his back and noticed his chest was shaved and his private part had hair sticking up I called to let them know. A new groomer did the grooming, she is no longer here. Bring Scotty back so the groomer that groomed him before will groom him. Can't get him in until the 29...booked up. I hold the owner responsible. should know you do not shave a Sheltie, especially where he was shaved. I will not be taking him back. I will go back to show the damage that was done and should be compensated. read more

I was going to let this slide but the more and more I look at my dog's ear, the harder it is to keep quiet. The groomer nicked my dog's ear and I understand accidents happen and I'm not upset with the groomer but the way this establishment handled the situation has to be called out. If they had just called me and explained and apologized, I would have completely understood. What they actually did was text me to pick up my dog and once I arrived to pick her up they had me pay and once I finished paying, that's when they informed me the groomer cut her ear. I asked if it was bad and they said it was a small cut. They then brought her out and and pointed out the cut. They didn't need to point it out, it was pretty obvious. Again, I understand accidents happen but I would have felt a heck of a lot better if they owned up to it and try to make it right and offer a discount or some kind of gesture to show they were sorry for the accident. Instead they kept quiet until I paid in full and tipped before telling me. Shameful. read more
