5 stars for Brenda! Brenda was absolutely wonderful. She was always on time, always in great spirits, and incredibly patient. What really set her apart was how good she is at working with both parties - the pet AND the adult. We learned so much and our dog responded so well to her. Professional, kind, and very effective. We recommend Brenda very highly!

Brenda is an absolutely amazing trainer; she is consistent, warm, and met the precise needs of our pet. We were able to schedule with her easily despite our busy schedules and our fur baby got a ton out of it. We rescued a pittie and by the last lesson we were able to comfortably be in a park with other dogs which was not the case in the past. I would recommend Brenda one thousand times over!

I am beyond grateful I found Brenda (Awesome Mannered Canines) she worked with me and my French bulldog (who is almost 4 years old now) who is a rescue and was exhibiting strong reactivity on walks for about two years. I tried a different training program shortly after I rescued her which made her reactivity worse. I knew I had to find someone who could provide the type of training my dog would respond to. Brenda did a consultation with us and she really listened to what the concerns and goals were, and came up with a personalized plan for us. My frenchie is a different dog now in the best way possible as a result of Brenda's training methods. We had four sessions, and my frenchie can see another dog on our walks and not lunge or jump at them. It's brought a new form of connection for her and I as well because we can enjoy our time outside of our home together!

Brenda is an absolutely fabulous trainer. Not only does she get dogs, she gets people. She takes time to really understand your dog, your goals, and what matters most, then tailors every session to that. She taught my dog Bubba so many commands and he's really retained them. She's a joy to work with, genuinely kind and patient, and Bubba adores her. We're absolutely continuing with more classes. I can't recommend Brenda enough.

I can't recommend Brenda enough! In just four sessions, she has made a huge difference--not only in my dog's behavior, but in my own confidence as a dog owner. My dog is seven years old. Brenda was able to work with her and correct her behaviors, she really helped her "place" and "stay". Brenda is incredibly knowledgeable and has a calm, direct approach that really works. Dogs listen to her. She's helped me become more assertive, and my dog is already listening better and responding to the commands we've worked on. Brenda is also incredibly organized, always on time. Her communication is clear, consistent, and professional, which makes the entire process smooth and reassuring. Her advice has been practical, thoughtful, and easy to implement. If you're looking for a skilled, reliable, and supportive dog trainer, Brenda is the best!

We LOVE Brenda! We have a very timid 3 year old rescue and a new 6 month old Golden Retriever. She was able to come in and bring immediately results after just one session. Brenda was able to easily assess our rescue and train him in a way that he was able to receive. He no longer yanks on his leash and is no longer reactive to other dogs. For our puppy, she was able to teach basic manners and obedience. Both of our boys are experts at leave it, sit, stay, down, place, heel, break, etc. We were able to go into large public areas with both pups with ease due to her direction and expertise. We ended up booking 8 sessions with her for additional training. She truly cares about your dogs!!

Brenda is amazing! She truly has a way with dogs and people too. She has great communication, is so patient and really was able to help us with Frank who's 2 years old and 85 pounds from jumping on everyone to try to say "hello" along with barking at most dogs. She also worked with Barbara our 2 year 65 pounds to giver her confidence and not be fearful of other people. They loved Brenda and training was something they truly loved doing and well, we did too. I'd consider Brenda a friend after this as she's just good people. Thanks for everything Brenda! -The Wolff Pack :)

All-American K-9 Dog Training

Before I discovered all American K-9 I was 100% disappointed and discouraged with all of the…read moreprevious training and gadgets that I had tried. I could not figure out why nothing was working. A colleagusuggested that I try a dog trainer named Bob Solomini that he had used in the past. His passion and confidence in Bob convinced me and even though I was very skeptical and worn out I decided to give it one last try. I am excited to tell you about my invaluable experience and what I learned from it: -my dog was only a small part of the problem, but the majority of the behavioral problems stemmed from me. Dogs aren't born knowing how to behave the way humans would like them to, so we as responsible dog owners need to teach them. -we don't automatically realize what we are doing wrong and unless a true professional who really cares can teach us the correct way we can't be sure that we will ultimately have a happy relationship with our pet. -after four years of pulling my hair out and stressful walks with my dog I wound up moving to a new neighborhood, and my dog was totally out of control when I walked him. When he saw people with dogs, he went crazy and I could not stop him from barking and pulling. In fact, he pulled me down a couple of times where I sprained my ankle and another time where I hurt my knee. In fact, most of my neighbors walked the other way when they saw us and complained about my dog's bad behavior. After the first lesson, I immediately knew that I had found something different. Humane, focused,, professional, and results driven. I am so lucky that I found all American K-9 and especially Bob Solomini. I love walking my dog now, and all of my neighbors have praised the incredible transformation that they see. This was literally a life-changing experience for my dog and for me. I am so thankful that I found somebody that really knows what they're doing and really cares -not only is Bob a great person, but also the Best dog trainer that I have ever met. I highly recommend this trainer and business to anyone who is serious about having a great dog!

Once we found All-American K-9 and Erika, we knew we had hit the jackpot. We handed our sweet (but crazy) Labrador over to her for a 3-week Board & Train, with a little trepidation. After 3 weeks, we were amazed to get back the most well-behaved, calm dog. Not only did Erika train Finn, but she also taught us how to keep up the training. The responsiveness is unparalleled. I always get well-thought-out and specific answers to my questions within a few hours. I also love that this isn't just a one-and-done training. We have lifetime access in case we have questions, which is a relief, since we have someone who knows Finn and can help in the future. The Board & Train might not be affordable for everyone, but it was absolutely worth every penny. I wish we had found Erika months ago.

From their first meeting at the intake, to the 2-week "boot camp", they provided reassurance and updates. The narrated video updates were reassuring and helped bring peace of mind that this was the right decision. So helpful was the 2-hour training period on Graduation Day! It gives me, as her daughter, peace of mind knowing that my mom can now safely bike ride with him, not seeing him jump up on her, and it is much more fun to visit without finding something of mine chewed! If you are contemplating investing in Rob's Dogs for training, do it!! Nathan, thank you for being fantastic with Coal and my mom!

My 81 year old mom moved to an urban setting with a small yard and a neighborhood with lots of…read moresmall, yappy dogs that sets off reactivity in her German Shepherd. Although the dog has been through several training programs, she had recently reverted back to being reactive on leash: barking, pulling, and lunging at any dog that barked at her or gave her a "look". Thankfully I found Rob's Dogs through a search online. Rob offers dog training either through individual sessions sold as a packet of 8 or 3, or you can elect to do a board and train method. Since my mom's dog had done two board and trains with other training facilities in Florida and Texas, I opted for the individual sessions sold as a packet of 3. Not to disparage the other training schools, I want to note that the dog had learned a great deal of commands, but she was a little rusty and selective when doing them and was selectively reactive on leash around other dogs. What we needed was a trainer that could come to my mom's neighborhood and see the dog being reactive in the environment where she was going to be walked. Thankfully Rob's Dogs offered this as an option. It cost a significant amount to do this, but it was possible. The additional cost was for the mileage and drive time to my mom's place. We had a meet and greet at the facility. Rob, the owner, met with us and got the back story on the dog and the current behavior problems. He took the dog and walked her around a bit and near other dogs, tested her response to commands and leash pressure. He explained the package options available to us. He also made us aware that we would be using both a prong collar and e-collar to reinstate her former training. We had these tools, but my mom hadn't used them with the dog since she left Florida, and I had never used them. We were assigned a trainer who was contracted by Rob. Lauryn was super friendly and had a love and full understanding of the German Shepherd breed. She herself had a German Shepherd. She went over the operation of the two collars which I was not familiar with at all. Rob's dogs sent us a link and password so that we could watch some important training videos. His website also had some very useful training tips. I highly recommend watching/reading this information carefully and then reviewing it again each week. It's easy for owners to slip into bad habits quickly which results in their dogs behaving in ways they don't want. You will have to enforce rules and get into a routine. Restrictions can be lifted once the dog consistently behaves as desired. You will find that YOU will have to do the hard work. The trainer and Rob's Dogs will assess your current situation and give you the tools and training to use those tools to reinforce good behaviors. It won't happen overnight. You will need to work with the dog for at least an hour each day to reinforce the seven commands and expectations. As I mentioned, we only had three sessions. This training was going to determine whether or not my mom could keep and handle her dog. Immediately after the first session, we started using the tools and putting restrictions in place inside the house to set the law of the land. Right away, we noticed a difference. While the dog was already really well behaved in the house, it improved her response to us when we walked her outside of the house. The prong collar made a drastic difference in her behavior when she saw other yappy dogs on the walk. I no longer had to worry about her lunging, pulling or barking incessantly in an aggressive stance. She still got up, moved forward, and barked once, but it was all very controlled. I didn't have to use all of my strength to hold her back. The real test came when my mom was able to walk her dog around other yappy dogs. After session two, my mom was easily able to do this, and I felt confident that continuing this training would allow my mom to keep her dog. Her German Shepherd is sometimes still reactive, but it is much more controlled and manageable now. In time, and with continued consistent practice, I believe my mom's dog will eventually stop the reactivity altogether. She has already shown amazing progress and only slips occasionally. If you are looking for effective dog training (well, really we know it is human training to learn how to effectively communicate with the dog), then consider Rob's Dogs. You will work hard to get your dog's behavior issues resolved, but the longterm results will allow you to have a wonderful relationship with your pet.

They are a wealth of knowledge and I successfully implemented many of their suggestions. For example, a "softer" approach to the prong collar I was using, and better timing with the remote collar. I now realize I talk too much to my dog and should use more indirect, non-verbal "pressure" to communicate commands to my dog. Jose and Monique of JD Powerhouse offer a 6-week DIY Saturday afternoon basic obedience class. I enrolled to "refresh" my ability to "communicate with" or effectively handle my dog. I have participated in various obedience classes with my dog over the years, so my dog was somewhat trained. She's a 4-year-old, American Pit Bull Terrier, with no major behavior issues. Although, she did not like when other dogs barked at her (or me) and would react for short bursts until they passed us on our daily walks. Since my dog is a 70-pound, square-headed, somewhat muscular dog, she appeared the aggressor. Jose and Monique increased my confidence and ability to maintain quiet control of my dog during our neighborhood walks. As always, I needed the training, not my dog

What I really appreciate in addition to their expertise, clear direction and upfront approach is that they didn't sell me on what I didn't need. José made it clear very quickly that it would not be the best use of money to board and train my dog, Piper. Instead, he offered me a customized package that would maximize the training and my money. That's badass. I have gone to other evaluations where trainers were trying to scare me into pick the most expensive package by over inflating the concerns I had. I left those feeling overwhelmed both by the price and by the evaluation itself. That is NOT the experience I had with José and Monique and it made the decision to choose them so easy. I highly recommend JD's Powerhouse K9 Bootcamp because you can trust that José and Monique truly care about helping you to be the best owner you can so your dog can trust you and be their best.
