we had known we wanted to get 1-on-1 training for our puppy Tater Tot early on, and we had been searching the Phoenix area for a few months trying to figure out the best fit for him. He's a Silky Terrier and full of energy, but we knew he needed some focus and direct attention for his training needs. After looking into a handful of other 1-on-1 trainers in the area, we spoke with Elisa and knew she was going to be a great fit to work with! Don't let her pictures with the big dogs fool you! She knows just how to handle small breeds like our Tater Tot. Having her come to your home to see the enivronment where they are most comfortable is so helpful with her seeing you and your pet operate. And she's able to curtail her guidance and lessons for you and the pet in the best way possible! We purchased an initial package of sessions, and from the first meeting, she was able to get his full attention and start getting direct responses to her commands and practices with him. She's extremely effective in explaining the HOW and the WHY you do what you're doing for your pet - and she has clear messaging with how to track progress and work on tweaks to get continuous results. Over the course of our package of lessons and training we saw week to week improvements and new skills being figured out by our pup! And in turn, we also got better as dog parents with being able to read him better so we could understand his needs as we practiced anything from housebreaking to learning best practices for walks/house behaviors. We'll definitely be doing a second package of sessions to get some advanced training and it's totally worth it for her skills working with pets! My female husky mix was bullying my submissive male chow and the husky mix was starting to rule the house in a unsavory way. Elisa came to our home and immediately trained me and the Alfa-female husky. My husky mix is now more calmer in the house. She's still alfa but her aggression is gone. My husky now sits quickly on command, she understand "place" (going to a spot and staying), and the biggest part- the husky mix no longer attacks my male chow. I learned dogs don't always need to cuddle and love each other but they can learn to live together without attacking each other. She also trained me on how to walk all 3 of my dogs without pulling. Now this is heaven sent!! I walk my 3yr old female husky mix (92lbs), my 13yr old female pit mix (60lbs) and my 7yr old male chow (65lbs) ALL TOGETHER and no one pulls on the leash. Life is great. They are all calmer and happier on our daily walks. Elisa was very supportive to work with. I did the 5 pack appointment option- and life is good. I highly recommend her- dogs need guidance and without it- they can become aggressive and disobedient and that can lead to unhappy households. Having a pet- it is your responsibility to teach them (like children) don't surrender the dog to the pound, don't beat them- train them. Elisa is an amazing dog trainer! I have a 105lb Doberman. Was having issues potty training him, she got him potty trained for me in a week. Also had issues with him charging the door and jumping on guests, which injured a friend of mine. She got that fixed and now he sits patiently while i let people in and he greets them when i give the command. Also walks on the leash AMAZING now and can do a perfect recall off the leash. I was skeptical of the prong and e-collars at first, but she showed me how to use them properly and work absolutely amazing for training. She shocked me first so i can feel it too , hahaha. Elisa was great! Very accommodating with our schedule, and taught us a lot of great ways to be better parents to our Great Dane Penny. At 167 pounds, Penny is energetic and a handful, and we were not giving her the right messages to better manage her. Elisa was so great with our puppy! We had a pretty specific problem (separation anxiety), so I wanted to go with a private trainer over some of the group classes offered elsewhere. When I started looking for dog trainers in the PHX area, I was mind blown that some were up to $300 per session. I'm SO glad that I found Elisa - she is an experienced, knowledgeable and awesome trainer who I believe charges a very fare rate, especially considering she comes to your home for the training! She called me upon my inquiry and told me she would only need 1 lesson to fix a lot of the issues. I liked that she asked a lot of questions upfront and let me know what to expect if we worked together. She was so good we decided to do 3 lessons instead. Elisa has been very helpful getting our Bernedoodle puppy going in the right direction. We got him when he was 4 months old and started the training right away. Over the course of several sessions, she helped us learn how important training was, and how to get Cato to do what we wanted. Each session we practiced under her watchful guidance. She was a great mediator when we had differing ideas of how to approach various aspects of his training. As a result of the great training, Cato hasn't chewed improper things, and he loves his crate. He loves to play and hike. He barks very little. We love him! Elisa was a huge help with our 6 month old English Springer Spaniel, Risqué. We needed a hand trying to reign in an extremely active puppy, and we got it. Elisa was absolutely amazing in every area. She worked with my husband's and mine busy schedule, she came to us, and most importantly she taught our 8 y/o adopted dog everything she needed.
