I've been going to the Zoom Room in chandler for about 3 months now. I have had the best experience and my pup is so well behaved as a result. All of the trainers are wonderful, however John has been exactly what I was looking for. He is incredibly knowledgeable, not afraid to be direct to ensure I'm training correctly, and is always taking the time to individually meet our pups needs even in a group setting. Having a Malinois is challenging, but with the proper guidance and training - has made all the difference. I would recommend this place to any dog owner, new or old!! read more

Zoom room is amazing!! We brought (and still are bringing!) our puppy, Gatsby, here for socialization and training and we are so happy we did. The facility itself is so clean and organized. We were impressed with how clean the place smelled. Most places involving dogs, there is always a faint or not-so-faint smell of dog, but with zoom room, you never could tell dogs were in there when it came to smell. Also a bonus is their amazing selection of dog treats and toys! The staff is very friendly and helpful. We met Colin, the owner and trainer, for orientation and he was awesome at explaining everything from training to their philosophy to what is expected of dog owners and what we need to do to see results with our puppy. With our schedule, we have been mostly in training classes with Ray (sorry, if I misspelled that!) and she is amazing! Gatsby loves her and so do we! We and Gatsby are always learning something new with each class that we never would've picked up from online or trying to train by ourselves. The trainers are very passionate about dog training and it definitely shows in classes. The best and most important part about Zoom Room, that we love the most, is their philosophy on only using positive training techniques and avoiding negative ones at all cost. We highly recommend this place if you're looking for a clean, safe facility with friendly and kind staff, and passionate trainers for your pup! read more

Unfortunately I trusted the Zoom Room website that their trainers would ensure a safe environment. My 11.4 pound puppy attended a puppy playgroup and less than 10 minutes into the session was stepped on by a very large Great Dane puppy. My puppy screamed in pain and the "trainer" started yelling at me to "get out!" and as I carried my screaming puppy out he mockingly shouted to all the other owners "She's just a drama queen!" My puppy would not bear weight on the injured foot. X-rays showed there were no broken bones, so the veterinarian bandaged her leg and we waited a week until the bandage was removed to find out if she needed an MRI to assess ligament injury. Fortunately when her bandage was removed she was no longer lame so no ligament injury. We had an almost $500 veterinary bill from her injury at the Zoom Room and the owner/manager never contacted us. The "trainer" said he would refund our $25 puppy play group fee and did not. read more

Fabulous training facility! Our eldest attends Obedience 1 and recently Agility 1. She loves both classes so much and always enjoys her time with Collin. In one class she conquered every one of the stations on the Agility course! Our youngest just started to attend Puppy Plus and has caught on quickly! The trainers are incredibly knowledgeable, patient and experts working with all dog personalities! It's worth a visit just to check out the retail area, I like to call it "Doggie Disneyland" from the treats in jars to the many variety of toys you're sure to find something that your fur baby will enjoy! Definitely the best variety I have ever seen! Keep up the great job, we're definitely very happy clients! read more

I hover and go back and forth with my star rating. on the one hand, the girls at the desk were so sweet, helpful and accommodating. The place is well stocked, clean, and for a place with multiple dogs in and out all day, smells clean. My hesitation is with the owner. I recently did a required orientation, which is just as it sounds. An intro to the business, what's expected, shots needed, etc. Another attendee asked what happens or would happen should a puppy get hurt in playgroup. Valid question. I don't have a puppy, but I'd ask, too! Should be a concern all dog owners have, not just those with puppies Answer: It won't. Client: But if it doesss. Answer: It won't. it never will. I know what to look for. I just found his tone to be a little rude and snarky and his attitude condescending and almost attacking her for questioning him. Live animals aren't always predictable, even if you know what to look for. So, I don't know. Can't speak of his training sessions yet and trying to stay open minded. read more

I can't say enough about Ray at Zoom Room, she is an amazing dog trainer. My pitty responds to her very well and has made leaps and bounds. Ray is caring and informative. She takes time to explain the why and how. My pup Maisy loves her as much as I do, and I appreciate her help with training my rescue obedience. read more

Wow. We rescued the SWEETEST little dog from Maricopa Animal Shelter who has issues dealing with other dogs and needed training with that and greeting people. Basic manners training etc and we received a gift certificate to Zoom Room for Christmas. We have been INCREDIBLY impressed with Collin (owner) and Ray, the best trainer ever. Harper has learned sooo much from them and is improving every session with her anxiety dealing with dogs!!! Ray works magic with her and teaches us how to deal with her as well. They specialize in rewarding good behavior and Harper just loves it there. We are soo very grateful for the improvements in Harper's behavior and strongly and happily recommend others give them a try. After she can be around other dogs we want to try their obstacle course training !!! It looks like tons of fun !!! read more

This has been just the perfect place for our smart, loving, but difficult to train border collie. Their methods are positive and effective, and every class trainer we worked with was skilled and part of a clear, consistent philosophy. It's a fun and clean environment that our puppy has just loved. Worth the 45 minute drive! read more

Excellent option for your pup! First off - the owner is passionate about your puppy/dogs safety and has a pet free parent orientation for all new pet parents bringing their dogs to classes. The building is large and beautiful and smells surprisingly great for being a place full of critters all day. We did puppy preschool - we signed up for the socialization which has been incredible but to my surprise my little girl is already learning commands! The puppy preschool allows some off leash playtime and she loves it- once they "graduate" to puppy plus it's all on leash and more focused on learning. Great value and very knowledgeable trainers. I am so glad we found this place! Looking forward to all of the classes and socializing in the future. There are classes for advances and adult dogs too. You won't be disappointed. read more

We have two dogs and wanted to have them trained. We went through orientation (which is basically a trainer sits with a group of customers and goes over all the rules). Then we scheduled an evaluation to see if our dogs need private lessons or group lessons. We brought in our first dog and it took about 15 minutes or behavioral questions and see how he reacted to a fake dog (easy). When we went to schedule our second dog we told them in advance that we live far and we would be about 10 minutes late, the receptionist (a young kid) said it wouldn't be an issue. We arrived to our second evaluation and arrived 10 minutes late (as we specified when making the appointment) and the staff said that they can't take us because we were late and an evaluation needs a full 30 minutes. We told them that we went through this a week prior and it only took 15 minutes... they still denied us. We told them that we live about 40 minutes away and please try to squeeze us in... nope, they denied us. (Just to clarify, there is no one else there... always empty). I asked to talk to the owner and he wasn't there so he called me later during the day. Instead of being understanding he was rude and told me that rules are rules and he never breaks them and that if we drive for 40 minutes we are probably not a good fit for him. If he would have just been a bit understanding and apologetic and showed that he wants to keep us as customers he might have had a customer for a long time... He was arrogant and cocky and couldn't care less of how he treats customers. Staff are all young kids and the trainers don't seem like they have too much experience. read more

The only good thing was the orientation. I had to pay for the evaluation and they didn't even use the entire time I paid for. Private lessons have one description on the web site stating the 1st lesson is 1 hour and the rest 1/2 hour. I called them and they said it's wrong on the website and they aren't honoring what is on the website. Private lessons are very high priced. The only staff member that wasn't needing an attitude adjustment was the owner who did the orientation. The trainers I met and the people at the register were all zero informative and wanted to argue instead of answer my questions. I went to buy lessons. Private and group. They refused to let me pay cash for the group lessons because they are auto renew. I said I wanted to pay cash and they could also put my card on file for the auto renew and I was advised they won't let me use cash(even though they would still have a card on file) While it looks like they may provide a good service, I couldn't get past all the hoops I had to jump through to get my dogs signed up for the classes. Such a shame waste of time and money for the evaluation. I do not recommend to try this place if you want to just put your dog in trainings. I couldn't even get my dogs signed up without having to deal with the attitudes of the trainers at the place who just parrot that their lessons are specific to my dog and they feel their training is high value. Etc.... was like talking to a robot. Then not being able to pay cash and also provide the necessary information needed to do an auto renew. Well the Glendale ZoomRoom just lost 2 customers because they make it so hard to sign up for lessons. read more

We stopped in awhile back to check out the place as I use to work next door a few years back. We never enrolled in their classes but thought it's pretty cool the services they offer. The staff was super friendly and was super helpful to help us choose the right size chews for our 6 pound chihuahua. We felt at ease knowing they were giving us honest reviews and opinions since there was a TON of options to choose from, which was super nice but at the same time for beginners can be super intimidating. We ended up with a little baggy full of items and even a few squick toys. We checked out the brochure and got info about the classes they offer, they were reasonably priced vs competitors they were about the same. I did get the feel that they had some great trainers and a great clean atmosphere. We'll see if we decided to take some classes and we'll update. We will be back once Pepe is ready for more chews thanks guys!! Thanks y'all! Cheers, enjoy! :) read more

My husband and I absolutely love this place for our pup. We were skeptical at first with the puppy pre-school and cleaning they do for under vaccinated dogs, but once we went to orientation and met Collin and saw how serious and passionate he is about operating a safe, educational, yet fun business for all dogs but especially young puppies, we were all in. Their puppy pre school id highly recommend and we love that they go over all the basic questions/concerns new puppy owners have from biting, time outs, and most importantly there is time for puppy socialization which was the most important for us! I feel like when we were looking around other training facilities, we couldn't beat their price, passion, and class flexibility. A lot of class scheduling could be done online, and if you sign up for class packages you're able to use them how you like as long as it's appropriate for your dog and gain zoom room's approval. We can't recommend this place enough, and get excited to come here every weekend and see our little girl improve her behavior by every visit. Thank you zoom room! read more

My pup has been attending classes since he was only a few months old and he absolutely LOVES coming here. Colin is fantastic and very passionate about working with our pups and Stallone loves him. We have attended puppy class, obedience 1, obedience 2 and are currently working in obedience 3 towards his canine good citizen title. I have also taken private lessons to work on his impulse control and after only one class I see a HUGE difference in his behavior. We play a variety of games so the dogs are learning but having fun at the same time (we humans enjoy the competition as well). I cannot say enough good things about the Zoom Room - they have totally transformed my pain in the butt puppy to a much more obedient partner and we look forward to coming to class. Another plus is we get to pick when we attend class so they are very flexible to our schedules! I highly recommend the Zoom Room!!! read more

Let's talk about treat based training... I am not a fan. I need my dog to do something when I tell her, not for a treat. I had an issue with my puppy jumping on a person if they were holding a small dog. The zoom room teaches you to distract the dog with key words "find it" while looking for a treat in the opposite direction of their focus. My dog is not dumb, she and other dogs with this method will learn quickly if she jumps she gets a treat. I really would like my money back Update to respond to her message - it was not just one class. Let's address the pricing - over $250 for I believe 6 classes and WE didn't learn anything. my puppy at the time new a good amount of commands for her age. I am not a person who is letter her dog have free range, I take her hiking, to the store, everywhere ... I need her to behave and not for a treat. I'm sure plenty of people use treat driven training. I learned a ton more from the dog whisperer and YouTube - could have saved myself a good chunk of money read more

Very good for obedience, but if you have any reactivity or behavior problems find a balanced trainer. Positive only has had zero effect for us. Trainers don't give much input and most appear to be new to training. They tell you to use a martingale collar but never teach you how to use it or about leash pressure. Advance dogs even if they are still reactive. Functional if your dog has zero issues, they never address actual training situations, just next evolution weather your dog did well or not with no input how to move forward. Every dog is different and may need a little different approach. read more

Collin and his team are absolutely fantastic! We've been attending agility classes with him and have highly enjoyed both the social interaction with other dogs as well as his expertise working with dogs of all sizes and ages. Their wall is stocked with toys and treats (our pup loves everything we've tried), and they are available to help with harness sizing. Our pup looks forward to every visit, and has enjoyed the mental stimulation. Collin also emphasizes that a lot of what is happening is training the owners, and I can say with confidence that I feel like a better dog owner while also having a much stronger bond with our pup. read more

Started taking obedience classes with my German Shepherd because I felt I needed guidance. We are about 7or 8 classes in and I can tell a big difference. Something as simple as playing catch needed to be done w/2 balls because my GS refused to give up 1. She now can play w/1 & will also follow a couple commands using her ball as reward. With that said when it was time to play catch, she wouldn't focus on anything else. Now we can get some training done before playing. I've also gotten tips on grooming, jumping on people and a few puzzles/toys were recommended, which were very helpful. Overall, I am very happy with the training and the direction my GS is going. HUGE improvement and Heidi enjoys herself at training. Lastly, this place is very clean and the staff is friendly and helpful! Would highly recommend. read more

Wonderful atmosphere where the owner and all of the staff cares about the health of your pup and the training goals. Clean, open and welcoming. We have been totally impressed with our experience at the Arrowhead, AZ Zoom Room since enrolling in January with our now six month old puppy for training and socialization. As other reviewers have said, the facility itself is incredibly clean. The classes start on time and are always organized taking each dog's needs into consideration. Colin, the owner and trainer of Zoom Room Arrowhead, did our orientation and did an excellent job at explaining how the program runs and the emphasis on positive training techniques. We appreciated that all expectations were clearly set at the beginning. Based on the age of our puppy, the majority of our classes have been with Rae. Rae is an impressive dog trainer at all levels from learning each dog's name the first day to asking if an individual dog has an allergy before offering a treat, to providing different levels of assistance for all dogs and people in her classes. Her patience and explanations simple but super effective and she keeps each class moving and interactive each and every time. I beyond grateful to have come across this gem of dog training facility and highly recommend it to any and all looking for an established, caring, knowledgable and well-organized place. read more

I wanted to find something for my Standard Poodle who was 14 months at the time to have something to do in the summer that would be fun, help to build confidence and bonding for us. I was at the New Balance store in Peoria when I noticed Zoom Room. I had no idea what that was so I looked inside and saw it was all about dog training and having fun! They were closed at the time so I came home and got on their website which is great and full of information. It seemed slightly daunting at first with me having an orientation and then Eddy having an evaluation. But both appointments were very worthwhile and needed. I'm so glad I decided to give it a try. Eddy has been through a lot of obedience training so I wanted something fun for us to do. I had agility in mind. We had tried once before when he was around 8 months. That happened to be outside and quite a drive for us. These classes were taught by an national and international award winning Agility competitor. I have to say the classes at Zoom Room far surpassed anything we were taught earlier and a lot more fun. Eddy loves going and right from the beginning they had us doing obstacles. It's been fun for both of us and every time we go they make it a little harder. I just signed up for our 3rd package of private lessons. What I thought was just going to be a one time summer diversion has turned into so much more. Thanks Zoom Room for your great facility. read more
